They recently had…read moresome changes to staff leadership, and while I was wary at first, this group is proving to be strong thus far - very caring about the individual students and based on practices, the group programs appear to have gotten better and more creative. The instructors here are very good, and they have great connections with local venues... so if you're in a group program, you can see your daughter or son on stage at local bars/restaurants where professional acts perform. I can't wait to get my 4 year old involved next year. Will update review again after we see the next group performance, to observe how the program has evolved.

My son had some classic piano training, but had little experience with Rock songs. Just over a year later he has learned to play dozens of classic rock, punk, and grunge songs, played 4 concerts on keyboards. He was inspired to pick up the bass guitar and played 2 concerts, and wants to learn 6 string guitar. In short, I am impressed with Billy at SoR and his excellent instructors. They really care about the music and the kids. The SoR is a nurturing and safe place that allows a new generation to appreciate great music just like I did when I was a teenager.

The main reason why I love it here is because they actually focus on learning music -- learning how to read music, learning how to feel and hear music, learning how to understand music -- all of which enables a student to gain such a deeper understanding of music and can then actually have a lifelong knowledge & skill of where they know what they are doing & why -- which is what really fosters a love and joy from within. In speaking with the owner of The Musician's Studio (Bob) you will see how he genuinely loves music, loves playing and wants to share that knowledge and love with students so they can also achieve their own joy in music. In our time at The Musician's Studio, my daughter has learned more in a few months than she learned in 4 years at the prior place that we used to attend. My daughter's violin teacher at The Musician's Studio (Ms. Emily) is beyond awesome as she in knowledgeable, very encouraging and positive, and purely loves and enjoys music and teaching that subject to others. My daughter feels so motivated and inspired because of Ms. Emily and is excited to practice during the week so she can show Ms. Emily what she accomplished by the time of her lesson on Saturday. I give The Musician's Studio 5 stars (more if I could) and would fully recommend as place where you or your kids can come and actually learn music and expand your horizons.

He is an insanely talented musician who seems to genuinely love what he does for the customer and for the love of playing every day. Unfortunately stopped lessons after a while due to simply not having enough time but still bring them my guitars/bass to setup and switch out the strings. I picked it up a few days later paid him and everything was fine until I went to adjust the trussrod and the rod head was broken and over tightened. I call the moron up and he denies everything and he said it came that way, I said why didn't you tell me? You took my money?! Come to find out he has done it a few times to musicians I know.
