(I'd like to see a bit more lighting near the game shelves, but I have old eyes.) There were even some dioramas in the center of the store. There's plenty of parking outside. They have a nice variety of games open which you can play, as well as comfortable seating and clean rest rooms. In the gaming area, I saw more packaged "complete sets" of the games with numerous expansion sets, something I personally find preferable to lots and lots and lots of space devoted to expansion sets. I only wish they opened a little earlier in the day on weekdays.

He has an expansive catalogue and let us know he is always adding to his collection. So happy we stumbled across this place and we will definitely be back! Recentky I spoke to someone who said he should have looked thru them to see what I was selling . Never did that. First I was told how bad the covers were (Title). He never went thru any of them with me. When I was asked how many there were, I'd say between 125-150 albums. Years 1950-1985. So after being told how honest they were, I did accept the low offer. I was then shown by this person the value of some of my albums. I was totally lied to!!! Don't believe them. He also laughed when I said if there were any treasures in the collection it'd be nice to get something. He laughed. Sorry I sold them. Beware!!!!

Really neat finds that you don't see in big chain bookstores too. The owner was very welcoming and offered beverages as we browsed. My daughter and I loved the cozy children's section. As soon as I walked in, the woman behind the counter directed to me to "the mask basket". Can't recall the last time I was asked to put on a mask, but I complied. Normally I would've walked out, but I figured I was only going to be in there for a few minutes and I had traveled a distance to get to this location, so the least I could do was satisfy her paranoia. Or perhaps authoritarian viewpoint ? Not sure which it was, but I was the only person in the shop at the time. After I was shown the SF/Fantasy section, I found a paperback right away from one of my favorite authors. 2 bucks, made putting up with the mask nonsense worth it. Jumped back in the vehicle and headed to the next Used bookstore !

Now it's next door to a 7-11... broad windows make up the front of the store and they sadly reveal an extremely untidy interior, some sections stacked search prohibitively deep and ceiling high... they carry a number of the new release comics and a sporadic selection of the less recent/vintage variety... there are toys and the like strewn about with no apparent care to their condition or organization... staff are eager, but unable to, please... Head a few blocks (as the crow flies) Southeast to Modern Myths for better selection, organization, feel and pricing...

This is a Comicshop, so it should not be judged by the same criteria as a supermarket. I do not go to a comic shop to pick up my comics like groceries flow through the express checkout and move on to my next chore. I go for the pleasure of talking to interesting people from varied backgrounds. With that said other reviewers are correct the shop is strangely ordered. The reason for the lack of order is mostly that the owner spends more time with customers. I will take some of the blame for distracting him. I brought my kids into the store when they wanted to learn how to play Magic the gathering, and I had no clue where to begin, he sat with them explained the rules and played through several games. I guess this time could have been used to organize. This shop operates more like a club house where friends joke and talk about art and reading, than a perfectly functioning conveyer belt megastore. I hope it always stays this way."
