I ended up getting a Smurfette figurine while my husband chatted with the owner, I think. He graciously was giving my husband price estimates and guidelines even though my husband was thinking about selling his comics on Ebay. This guy really knew his stuff and had such a depth of comic history and information about various characters. He had also worked at the theater for 20 years, and my husband and him compared memories of the theater and we got to hear about secret, historical things in the theater as well. Really a great guy and making the store a wonderfully, helpful resource. It is guys like him that make small towns a special place to visit and the world a smaller, more friendly, warmer, better place.

Its sad that it had to come to this but here's what happened. I contacted their comic store after I…read moresaw that they made a post about buying Funko Pop collections. I asked if they are buying all categories of pops since I know for a while they weren't buying Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc.. He responded and I quote "Yes, We will buy it all". I was glad to hear that and I responded that I would make it there in a week or so since I needed to make arrangements for babysitter & vehicle for transporting the pops. They next responded to call before I show up just to make sure they are still purchasing Funko pops , which I said that I understood. I called a few days ahead, and then called again a day after to remind them I was bringing a 500 piece collection on Saturday morning at 10am. They said that's fine and we will make sure someone is there to help you. I spent hours packing the pops into several boxes and getting them into the van. I was able to borrow a van from someone and find a babysitter last minute so I could do this on my only day off since it was a 4 hour round trip. I drive to their store and tell them I'm the one who called several times and messaged them about my pop collection for sale. The says okay but we are not buying marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc.& that they were not buying any pops over 4" which nobody told me before that moment. I was so baffled that I couldn't believe I heard what he just said to me after all of the communication we had for several days. He said they recently purchased too many pops and are only looking for certain ones. which is fine but why didn't they tell me that in the first place? They obviously have every right to buy whatever they want but to do this to people is just wrong. Then the worker (who was rude in my opinion) made negative remark about every pop that I decided to bring in. I only brought in 2 small boxes at first just to give them an idea of what I had. The guy actually wanted me to lug in all 500 pops so he could cherry pick what he wanted after everything they did to me that morning. After I left I messaged their Facebook account to express my displeasure and all he said was that he was sorry for the mixup. he didnt try to rectify it in anyway or make good on what happened (which I would have respected greatly). I never write reviews like this ever and I'm mad I even have to write it since it seems like a cool place but it just wasn't right what they did, that's bad business.

We'll get you refunded for the #10, and after that, would appreciate no further contact. We've got plenty of customers who aren't constantly complaining, and we'll stick with them. Good luck annoying your next victim." The first book was refunded after I had to go through the trouble and cost of re-packing it and driving to the post office, but when the second book arrived with flaws I chose to keep it just to avoid the hassle of dealing with the return and will re-sell it below what it cost me because I am HONEST and will be stating exactly what's wrong it which is what superworld should have done in the first place which is what I had requested. Everyone I have mentioned this to says they cannot believe a business-owner would write an e-mail like above to a customer, and that complaints and criticisms are a normal part of customer service, especially when the business fails to perform in good faith. Also, it has come out that I am not the only one who superworld has been haphazardly selling flawed books to. Apparently you are just supposed to accept what they send or go through the hassle of returning books instead of them checking their so-called Near-Mint books to make sure they aren't actually only Good or Fine condition. They refused to check books before selling them to me even though a couple of minutes doing so could have prevented my aggravation and frustration of being sold books with flaws that I specifically asked about. Not recommended, bad dealer.

If you decide to open an account with them (ten dollar deposit, and they take a list of series you follow and put new release issues aside for you, with a minimum one pickup per month) you get great perks like 10 percent off all new comics. And I believe trade paperbacks too. My favorite thing about this store is they put together packets of consecutive issues for both new and old series. Really helpful if you want to dive into a series that started awhile ago and you don't have to hunt down single issues. Recently grabbed the first 8 issues of East of West because it was all there ready to go. But they put together old and new stuff. AvX, Brightest Day, Generation X, X-Statix, Civil War, tons of complete miniseries 80s-current. And their Christmas-New Years sale is out of this world.
