I am a salesman by trade, so I never have too much interest with bartering, I would prefer to get to the bottom line and make the exchange. That being said, when I walked into Bob's looking for a box mod and was met with a slightly aggressive Eddie who seemed to have no time for questions, and got defensive when I asked him about his pricing, I was caught off guard and felt a bit put off. I found Eddie was argumentative with myself and my wife who were both very disinterested in haggling over x or y. I don't doubt that he cared about our business, and the shop's prices are fair, but his attitude with me was a deal breaker, and I don't intend on returning. Certainly more professional and better customer service at other spots around Tempe. Update: Eddie reached out to me via "compliment" here on Yelp (for being "funny"), putting the blame on my wife's shoulders for our bad experience. True entrepreneurship is based on having complete personal accountability for the good and the bad. I fee like the age old cliche rings true "the customer is always right". Maybe if Eddie focused more on providing quality customer service and less on defending his name from constructive criticism (welcome to business ownership), the business might (eh) be worth visiting. read more

The owners are super friendly just genuinely there to help. We've had long conversations about life on the east coast and their product is always supreme. His prices are on point, and he is always able to talk about the products with knowledge. Almost as if he has tried everything in the store! I will definitely be coming back here, and even when I don't live in the area would be willing to make the drive. If you are in the Tempe zone, definitely stop by!! read more

I was having dinner nearby and decided to stop by because I had been looking for a new low profile - high yield vape. I didn't expect much from this typical looking shop, but John made it different; John listened well and responded not with the most expensive, but with a reasonably priced product that worked for me! I ended up with the EDGE. You have to buy their pods, but really small and easy to handle or hide. Great puff pull and cloud and smells great; I got the tobacco that actually has a hint of chocolate. When I was getting close to needing refills, rather than go nearby, I made it a point to stop by this shop again! It's outta my way but worth it! So the refills were a great reason to go back and visit with John, I had some questions about some of the other products and John, true to form, listened, answered and even provided instruction for me! He was helpful without being pushy. Awesome Customer Service! John is really knowledgeable, helpful and responsive which makes this shop different. read more

I've also brought in a handful of friends, thus creating new clientele for the store. I was in the shop moments ago looking for a new piece and was treated horribly. The guy with the longer dark hair, and facial hair acted completely annoyed to have to help me. I decided to wait a few days on my larger purchase but didn't want to leave empty handed so I bought a torch for $16 and paid cash. A minute later before I left the store I decided it was going to be too big of a flame for my rig. I asked if I could return it and get a smaller one and he told me no. HE RUDELY switched it out for a cheaper one without refunding the difference in price and aggressively tried to put the other away and dropped it on the floor. I didn't want to make a scene because there were other customers but when he said have a nice day as sarcastically and with the most hostile tone I calmly told him I'll be taking my business elsewhere and left the store. He might be one of the owners or just an employee, either way I would not want that guy representing my company. I hate leaving bad reviews but I went in there and was polite and was treated Terribly for no reason.

Unfortunately, I have to be in a Wi-Fi area in order to use my phone like that. And they don't have Wi-Fi. I needed very specific things size wise. And you're not allowed to open packaging but when you pick up a lamp and you lightly shake it and you hear broken glass, but you're not allowed to open up the package and see what exactly broke why bother buying it at half price if you're not gonna be able to use it. This happened repeatedly also I was looking for a specific size bathroom medicine cabinet. Since much of the writing on the boxes didn't have dimensions, and I couldn't open the boxes because it's against the rules. I could find boxes that I think might've had the right sized item inside but I really couldn't take the gamble especially when I can't see if they're scratches or dents or a door ripped off, etc. I think the only thing I will come back here for is tile. If you're doing a craft project and you need a few pieces of tile or you're doing something special to cover a table top and you only need a few feet. This is the place to come for the tile. Unfortunately, the majority of the tile is not labeled and not priced and I hate having to run up to the counter every single time I find something to find out how much it's gonna cost. It's just ridiculous. I found a similar place, not too far away, where the people don't mind if you open the items to look at them and they will even go so far as to take a light fixture and wire it to a test area to show you that it works. So I think I will keep going to this other place instead.

Amour! Bobs Smoke shop, Broadway & McClintock in Tempe. The prices are great. Quality has always been up there for me. I personally role my own cigarettes. So quality and fresh tobacco and tubes is a must. If they don't have it, they will get it for you. I will bet you can't find anything they sell for any less! That being said, when I walked into Bob's looking for a box of tubes when I was out and me regular smoke shop were closed there they were. Check this place out and tell them Marie sent you! Super friendly service, great guys running this place! They always make me feel good walking in and out the store! You can tell they really care and appreciate their customers! One of the best smoke shops in the area. They have a beautiful humidor cigar room that is very well kept. They sell hookah, e-cigarettes, fluids, role your own supplies. You name it they have it. I have been going to this smoke shop for a few years now. Great smoke shop with prices that beat the other smoke shops around. Owners are very cool dudes. I bought a vape from them and it was not working, so i took it back, they took a look at it and said that they would replace my broken one out for me at no cost and was kind about it. I was very surprised, i've bought other vapes at other smoke shops and when they broke, i took the vape back and was confronted with angry managers not willing to return my faulty product. I'd give Bob's smoke shop 10 stars if i could. Very happy with how management resolved a small issue. This will be my number one go to smoke shop as long as i live in tempe. I was probably one of the first to frequent "Bobs" and am a regular purchaser of cigars. Eddie and Johnny are ALWAYS there, very friendly and take my requests and special orders seriously. I highly recommend these guys as a friendly neighborhood smoke shop! read more
