We specifically chose a hotel in Covent Garden because it was central to many of the sites we intended to visit and allowed us to keep our use of public transportation to a minimum. Because the neighborhood is very popular, there were always people on the street, which made us feel safe. In addition, we found a very pleasant cafe-- one of the chain of Caffe Neros in the city--nearby and had our breakfast there every morning. We were given a first floor room that more than met our needs (and saved us from lugging our bags up the narrow stairs). It was both charming and comfortable. (My wife particularly liked comfort of the bed.) Being that it was April, we were also pleased that we had plenty of heat in the room. Though we were blessed by largely excellent weather while in town, with warm and mostly sunny days, the evenings would get cool and the last thing you'd want would be to return to a chilly room. The staff were very friendly and Sajaad, the hotel's general manager, was very helpful in making recommendations and answering any questions we might have. We look forward to returning to The Fielding on our next trip to London.

Holiday Inn London Wembley is one of the many Holiday Inn hotels, this one is located in Wembley,…read morejust a few minutes walk away from Wembley Stadium, coming out of the stadium if you pass the ibis and turn right, it will basically be right there. The entrance to the hotel is awful and more aimed towards cars, it involves walking between barriers for cars which is frustrating and then going towards the entrance. The hotel lobby is okay, the staff seemed nice enough and even offered me a KitKat when I checked in, as well as water flavoured with various things including cucumber. I did have an issue on check-in, I was told you must present the original booking card you paid on, when you check in which wasn't made clear on the website, hence this was frustrating for me. Normally staying at Hilton hotels, I wasn't used to this but with the Hilton fully booked I had no choice but to stay at the Holiday Inn. My hotel room was quite small, it did have decent facilities such as a safe and TV with Freeview, the bedroom, however, was so small you could barely move in it, and it isn't a place you'd want to spend a long period of time in, luckily I was only staying for a night after watching Manchester City defeat Spurs 3-1 at Wembley, to go one win away from lifting the Premier League title. I can not comment on the hotel breakfast as I did not try it, but the whole scheme was confusing meaning you had to go to the reception desk to get a voucher to get it cheaper than going to the restaurant its-self, which is just hilarious, it makes no sense and just adds more time and inconvenience for the guest. The main reason I decided not to have breakfast here was that I prefer the Hilton nearby anyway, but the previous dining experience the day before had a huge influence where they served food at high-end prices which tasted cheap and the quality was so bad, I wouldn't even feed it to a dog! I also didn't like the lifts to the hotel, they were really small to the point you could barely fit a person with a suitcase in, or even a wheelchair, then to get on each corridor there was a large door which I didn't like either. My room also lacked a fridge, which was annoying as I didn't have a place to put things such as milk, the room was mostly quiet away from exterior noises such as an ice machine and lift, which have troubled me at other hotels but corridor noise late into the night still did trouble me, and slight noises from outside too however luckily these noises weren't as bad as I experienced back in December at Hampton by Hilton Newcastle, where I couldn't get any sleep at all. This is an awful hotel in a good location by Wembley, if you put this hotel in any other location I'd even go as far as to say it wouldn't survive and it is surviving on the basis of location alone, and it certainly isn't somewhere I'd stay again, due to the huge uncomfortability throughout various aspects of the hotel, even going down to the size of the room and uncomfortable bed, hence Holiday Inn London Wembley deserves a single one-star rating.

I ordered the same salad on two different days and not only was the presentation of the plated dish different but the ingredients were different as well. The manager assured me the dish was prepared correctly which (in my opinion) meant the first dish was prepared incorrectly. The manager shrugged it off with a "I don't know how it was prepared before". He then walked off with no further interest in assuring his customer was satisfied. On a different night I ordered fries covered in cheddar cheese and received fries with cheese on the side. Not sure what caused the miscommunication there, but in this circumstance they at least offered to correct the dish, and they got it right the second time.

It is a beautiful hotel, much smaller than Miami but that's to be expected in a large city. When we arrived to check in, we were greeted at the front desk and taken to see our room. I was immediately disappointed for a couple reasons. 1. No one wished my spouse a Happy Birthday, though we notated we were celebrating that and our wedding anniversary. 2. We were put on the first floor near the gym and the hotel was not at all full. Note that I am a Seeds member. 3. No extra blankets in the room, though that was requested. We left for a bit to eat and when I returned I expressed these concerns to Ilya. She immediately took action to upgrade our room and send a nice birthday treat and extra blankets. A special shout out to Slava as well for always being so pleasant to interact right. All in all, I think they are still working out some kinks being new, but still a beautiful place in the heart of London.

Some good packages on offer, very reasonable for a London hotel, including champagne, a la carte dinner, and a la carte breakfast (the best I have had in a hotel chain!). Definitely, you must try the honey, made locally and served still in it's honeycomb. Honey in a jar will never do again! Julia Hand is the owner behind the relaxed luxury of this brand, prevalent in all her 21 Hand Picked Hotels. I love her brand.

It was a little confusing walking in on where to go, as one of the rooms was closed for an event. However, we were seated once everything was sorted. Food: We chose here because they had a vegetarian afternoon tea option that didn't require the entire party to partake. I got the vegetarian option, and my friends had the standard. I'm not entirely sure why our desserts were different as all the desserts appeared vegetarian. I ultimately enjoyed my set. Everything was as expected. We each ordered different teas, but they were hard to distinguish the difference. Our server was unsure as well. Service: Service was okay. We were seated, and our sets were provided soon after we placed our tea orders. The tea confusion was an issue since we all ordered vastly different ones. Great little boutique hotel close to Paddington station…read more Check in was easy with the nicest receptionist and bellboy in the world. We were given carrot ginger juice on check in, which I liked, but the kids weren't fans. We had a suite, which included a decent bedroom and small sitting room. We booked the room for ourselves and two young kids, and the staff had already set up the room with two small cots, one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. With the cots, the sitting room became pretty much unusable, but my kids loved bouncing between the bed and couch. The room had a small fridge, which was nice, especially since there were many nearby bodegas. There was a separate WC with small sink, and then the bathroom had a bathtub and two sinks. Props to Roseate for giving single use bottles of lotion and shampoo, etc. The shower pressure and temperature control of the bath were lovely. I wish we had stayed longer than one night, but we enjoyed our one night.
