So crazy I have never left a review because I have checked in and flown from her many times…read more This was the first time we could find on-site parking which was a pain. We had to park in the Dolphin lot so you need a shuttle and they don't drop you off at the terminal, but in short term parking. I find that extremely odd and annoying, especially since my return flight lands at midnight and I need a ride back to my car. The airport itself is small enough that it's so easy to get around and is my choice for flights. I usually fly Allegiant from here and the only gripe is that the food choices aren't great, but I understand for only a few gates they can't have a lot.

However, recently we decided to go right into SRQ and we loved being at our favorite Sarasota spots right after landing. After landing we were quickly able to navigate the small airport, get our rental car, stop for caffeine and be at The Ringling all within 30 minutes of landing. The airport is small so it's easy to navigate but that also means there are not a ton of amenities. We enjoyed local artwork and displays throughout. Also, the volunteers that provide airport information and tourist information were very welcoming.

A MASTERCLASS IN AVIATION LOGISTICS AND BRAND ENGAGEMENT As…read morean e-commerce business owner whose daily operations depend heavily on seamless logistics, I evaluate infrastructural efficiency with a highly critical eye. Tampa International Airport consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of operational proficiency. The architectural layout and passenger flow are remarkably intuitive, making the process of flying in and out genuinely simple and fast. When traveling with my husband and children, mitigating transit friction is paramount, and this facility fundamentally eliminates the typical stressors associated with modern air travel. Beyond their logistical prowess, I must commend their digital marketing strategy. Their social media postings are, quite frankly, hilarious. It is rare to see a transportation entity execute such a witty, engaging, and culturally resonant online brand. It reflects a high degree of organizational intelligence and a keen understanding of modern consumer engagement. Tampa International sets the premier standard for how an airport should operate, seamlessly merging frictionless travel with brilliant public relations. It is a consistently superior experience from arrival to departure.

I honestly couldn't remember whether I had been through this airport before, but if I had, I certainly didn't remember it being this large. The layout took a little getting used to, especially with the tram ride to and from the rental car area, but everything was somewhat clearly marked and easy to navigate. The giant flamingo sculpture in the middle of the airport was impossible to miss and quickly became a favorite landmark for the kids. It's one of those unexpected touches that gives an airport a little personality. We also flew out of Tampa at the end of our trip, and the departure experience was smooth and stress-free. That's about the highest compliment I can give an airport when traveling with children. One minor downside: the Starbucks in our terminal was already sold out of quite a few food items and it wasn't even midday yet. Fortunately, we were able to grab sandwiches from Potbelly, which worked out just fine. Overall, Tampa International was clean, efficient, and much easier to navigate than many airports of a similar size. We'd be happy to fly through here again.

Let me tell you how shocked I was when I walked in the airport, a couple steps ahead of me was security, and right there is TSA. I kid you not, from my Uber picking me up at my apartment to reaching my gate-10 minutes. Total! I moved to Clearwater from Miami Beach. MIA or FLL could neverrrrrrrr!!! There are 2 post-security areas: gates 2-6 and gates 7-11. Each have enough food and drink options to help you kill time. I like the gates 2-6 area. Once you get past security, there's a Hudson News, 3 Daughters Brewing, and a Dunkin' Donuts.

For being in a town known for its frequent Lightning (you know, the whole hockey team named after the natural phenomenon), they completely botched the design and forgot to include an adequate number of bridges for the planes at the gates. If there's any lightning in the area, you can't get off your plane. There's routinely lightning here, if not more often than almost any place in the United States. Unlike their nearby TPA, they not only botched the design, but as the airport continues to expand and be renovated, they continue to ignore this fundamental part of airport construction. But then again, why spend the money, when you can just leave your customers on the tarmac over and over again, even when there's no rain, when the other airports in the area have all seem to have figured this out?
