We often frequent the market for our favorite Asian staples and so many great ramen varieties to please all palates. The best part is there produce- you will NOT see this quality in any store!! One of the biggest assets of this store is the lady at the checkout counter. She always gives the ideas how to cook the dishes I don't know the recipes. This was our first time here. The lady cashier was very friendly. We kinda hurry there after work. She did not rush us when we came in 15 minutes before closing at 6. For a small market, they carry a lot of variety of Asian foods. The place is clean & easy to shop. We spent a little over $110 & got lots of fun things to try. read more

They have reopened! Found my ingredients for a special miso soup. I love mushrooms of all kinds and use enoki in my miso to give it some crunch. It's like the texture of noodles, but not soggy. Besides cubed tofu, I add wakame, dried seaweed and dried black mushrooms. Before serving, I top with sliced green onions. Their chinese broccoli is always fresh and prepackaged. Cannot leave this place without a pack of frozen variety dim sum! And, me shopping trip will make me happy for a few days. read more

Hidden amongst dozen of small shopping plazas, restaurants, and a few publix's, you might be lucky enough to discover one of bocas best kept secrets. The Boca Raton Asian Grocery; located directly off federal highway between 20th street and Spanish river. This place really is special. It's quite a small store but man oh man does it have some incredible selections! They have some the best teas you can get. Ranging from Rose bud, to bitter melon, classic china green tea and even some dieter or detox options. They have a huge selection of fish sauce! Some really great ones, and of course soy sauce too. My favorite items here are found in the lfridge areas- sea cucumber, red bean moche, frozen dim sum, and fresh lime leaves to name a few. This is a fabulous store, which a great selection, very clean and lots of different items to purchase. Note*** if you have never been to an Asian market, I highly recommend visiting this one first because it is very easy to navigate and the owners are helpful in showing what items to buy. Great place! They have tons of oriental food stuffs and at reasonable prices. The store is cozy and quaint and the lady at the cash register was helpful and friendly. I went to Morikami Japanese Gardens on Saturday. When it came tome to visit their shop, it was packed. So I did the best next thing. I drove to the nearest oriental market to check out what they had. Boca Oriental Market is a small store located in Federal hwy. It is your typical oriental mart that sells import groceries from Japan, Korea, Vietnam ect. I don't know what a lot of those products are, but I love buying them and trying new spices in my cooking. This store is of course very far for me to come back to. But it is a great store. It is neat, and prices are reasonable. read more

I love love love this place. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful and willing to recommend items for whatever dish you are planning. They have a huge variety of gluten free items (sauces, dumplings, noodles) as well as a decent variety of fresh vegetables and herbs. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. They have a large inventory of sauces, spices and frozen items as well. The store is also always very clean and organized so everything is easy to find. read more

I was really surprised to find out that there was an oriental market in Boca. It isn't like those big asian markets down south like Lauderhill or Sunrise, but it has everything for a college student like myself. It's pretty tight so you can't even push a cart through the store. It's a small store that sells different types of ramen like shin ramen and the spicy korean ramen (they only have the original spicy ramen, not the 2x spicy ramen). They also have the basic seasonings and stuff like fish sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. There is a lot more! Their fridge consist of frozen stuff like mochi ice cream, dumplings, along with frozen noodles. They also sell pots, pans, chopsticks, scoopers, asian candy, bowls, and just many unique things. I got my friend giant chopsticks for Christmas, and he loved it! The only downside of this place is the fact that they close really early for an oriental store. Am I the only one that's super excited to have found this little gem of a market! Yes it's kind of small in size but they have things that I need to make a complete Asian dish! I think it's more of a convenience since it's so close to work and I can just stop by during lunch. I hated waiting for the weekend and traveling 30-40 mins to food town (love this store too). They have all the Asian sauces, spices, snacks, frozen items, rice noodles, rice paper wraps....just to name a few. The brands may vary and you may or may not find your favorite brand. Overall much better than any international aisles in the local supermarket! Hated when I had to go here...so generic. There were some things that I didn't find appealing though. There is a little section of produce where you can find bean sprouts, Bok choy, etc. I brought home a bag of baby Bok choy and it wasn't as fresh as I would like. Of course they were pre bagged and it was a little wilted. I think they kept it in the bag and the fridge too long. There also wasn't a meat section or anything either. They had beef balls and frozen squids but not really a meat section. The prices were also on the higher side but guess that's what you pay for convenience when you need those few items. Overall, a great place to find your Asian ingredients and noodles....which I happen to need often. read more

A small grocery store selling mostly Thai ingredients. They have 3 aisles of dry food, a shelf of fresh ingredients and 2 freezers of frozen food. They have a good selection of sauces and snacks. They store is very well-organized although a little tight. The items are arranged very orderly, even the freezer items were very easy to find. They also have their prices in English so it is quite comfortable to shop here. The cashier was very friendly. On the downside, they are limited on ramen/noodle variety and freezer items. It is also not a place to shop for fresh ingredients. They also do not carry a lot of herbal ingredients. The verdict: If you live close by, it is a reasonable grocery store for Thai ingredients. For the toddler: There is no cart so make sure to have her/him in a carrier if you have to shop with the toddler. read more

I love this little market. It has everything I need. Tamarind soup mix, longanesa (Filipino sausage), miso, tofu, teas, dumplings, & fresh vegetables that you can't find anywhere else. I love getting bitter melon, baby bok choy, chives, Thai basil, & sprouts here. Today I bought something new: sweet potato noodles. I had it once at a Korean hot pot dinner. Hope it tastes good. Absolutely horrible unedible bakery goods~ All of them are freshly made but have a very unauthentic taste. If your craving delicious freshly baked Chinese goods it is definitely worth your while to go to Lauderdale Lakes and go to Maxim Oriental Bakery. It's no H-mart, but when I came here to find the ingredients I needed to cook a bowl of Pho they had pretty much everything I needed! This store is super small and can get cramped if more than 4 people are shopping at once haha, but just be patient- I think it's worth it. Also: Try the Hi-Chew candies, mango flavor is my favorite! read more

This is my go to Oriental market. I always find everything I need for cooking Thai, Vietnamese and Korean dishes. This is where I find lemongrass for vietnamese grilled chicken. He even has every ingredient for hot pot too! My kids love the Japanese and Chinese candy aisle. The store is small but well stocked. The service is amazing. I'm so thankful to have this locally. I just moved from California, and I hadn't appreciated how easy it was to get Asian ingredients at mainstream and specialty supermarkets in that state. Here, the Oriental Market gets a solid 4 stars for having the best selection of Asian ingredients in Boca, including a small but legit produce section, all at pretty reasonable prices. This store carries primarily Chinese, Thai, Korean, and some Japanese ingredients. There is also an aisle for cooking implements. Please visit this store! Very well stocked Asian market from frozen dim sum, other foods and even Asian flavored ice creams. They are very helpful in translating cooking directions for the wide variety of packaged/pre-mixed sauces and soups they sell. This is a little hidden gem in Boca. Generally go to a larger market in Broward over 40minutes away...so this is perfect for the little things you need for cooking or a sweet treat! A little pricier, but it's a small place so you have to expect that. The veggies and skins/wrappers are all fresh and a little bit of everything. Great place. read more

This is amazing little market that is very well-stocked for the size. They have all kinds of specialty items that are hard-to-find. If you don't want to have to drive all the way up to Boynton Beach or down to Miami to go get specialties this is where you go. Here to buy things you can find at Publix like generic yams then you came to the wrong store. If I need a wider variety of items or more fresh produce that is specific to the Asian market then I go to other stores, but as a quick pick up you can't beat it.
