It s a nice walk from the parking area all the way to the inlet and they have done a great job. Smooth, paved concrete paths and the mangroves are cut back enough that you have good visibility. The parking lot is not very large but we lucked out with a space opening up just as we arrived. A dollar per hour with a one hour minimum. The beach was quite busy and the pavilion picnic area was in use by someone having a birthday party. There is also a nice walk out to the end of the breakwater overlooking the inlet but the sun was beating down and it was super hot today so we opted not to. It was nice to see a Palm Beach County sheriff deputy patrolling when we came through. There is a shower to get the sand off your feet and a public restroom here. Once I did find a spot to park, it was a nice walk through the mangroves and along the boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. I found a seat, probably trespassing from one of the communities but the chair was comfy. With my coffee in hand, I was here for over an hour as the Sun slowly came over the horizon. I was undisturbed. Other beachgoers walking back and forth but folks seemed to get my vibe and did not approach. There is a beached sailboat here since December. Maybe it's still here when you visit. It made for some fun photos. There is a bathroom facility and a beach shower and a picnic pavilion. Parking across the street requires feeding a meter. Don't forget that. There is seaweed all along the beach. But if you can get past the bit of seaweed into the water, it's a fun little beach. Parking is free and they close the gate approximately 30-45 mins or so after sunset. The houses around this area are huge!!! The little trail to the beach is well maintained.
