It was warm and fresh. The second course was 3 perfectly cooked scallops on a bed of heavenly mushrooms and oats with a light mushroom sauce. 10/10! He was very respectful and with a smile answered all questions and was honest with helping decide an option between multiple choices I inquired about. Tried the guacamole, the chimichanga, and the taco trio. I will break these down individually. Guacamole was typical of what you'd expect but it is clear that the ingredients are fresh and it's home made the effort in plating was well appreciated. The chimichanga is by far the best in Wichita bar none. I was pleasantly surprised by the plating presentation of it. How it is prepared is different than what you would get at MOST authentic Mexican restaurants in the city. If you are one that sticks to what you're comfortable with when outing for Mexican I'd say this is an easy go to. What I enjoyed about the taco trio is that the server said that I could have 3 tacos all in different meats, so I obliged. He then asked if I would like salsa in ramekins on the side and I asked if he recommended. With a smile he nodded yes and so off he went. The food to order time was approximately 15 minutes, and when the plates got to the table you could tell the food is made with love. Kudos to whoever is back there cooking the delicious food.
