This was my second visit. They had me at homemade tortillas! The chips a salsa are excellent. This is a small restaurant with not a lot of ambiance. Stopped by for lunch and highly recommend. We were seated right away. Waitress was very quick and attentive. Our food arrived pretty quick and was delicious. Everything was very flavorful and hot. This place is the real deal. So good & very authentic. They make their own corn tortillas.the service was great. The restaurant was a little small, & was completely filled by the time we left. I chose SAZOn because the menu appeared to have a great selection of choices. All 4 of us found something we wanted and were quite pleased. They don't offer ice tea or flan so that was bit of a bummer, but no problem. If you're hungry, get the molcajete. The service was pretty good and the area appeared clean. If you're looking for an authentic Southern Mexican restaurant this is the place! The restaurant is clean, the food is flavorful, and the owners are very hospitable. There is no blaring mariachi music or queso-smothered everything. There is Southern Mexican hospitality, delicious coffee and cookies, and great menudo that will make you feel like you're at grandma's house. Not only are there homemade tortillas and traditional Mexican dishes, there are also California style burritos. We went there for breakfast. My wife and I both had Menudo and my son had a breakfast burrito with eggs, chorizo, cheese and potatoes. We haven't had a chance to try the rest of the menu YET but the rest of the menu looked great and very traditional. Give this place a try, you'll be glad you did! read more

Excellent meal. Had both the green and chile colorado with pork, beans, rice and tortillas. Also had Menudo and everything was delicious. Menudo was large size so worth the $9.99. Both flour and corn tortillas - all homemade taste. Excellent service...family run business so will definitely be back. read more

The food was good. The building is kinda small but has good decor. The service we received was decent but not the best ever.

Mediocre at best. Couldn't change topping to queso dip because they "don't have it," even though another item on the menu has that. Salsa was okay; however, we were automatically charged for it, unlike usual restaurants. They seemed nice but I did go a few minutes without a drink refill in the middle of eating... On the bright side, menu is the same as the pictures, just add a dollar to most everything. read more

Excellent food and service. Carne Asada fries and then we split the flautas. We asked if they might have some epazote and the cook brought out fresh epazote which was amazing. Loved all the food and the service was above and beyond, as our waitress checked on us consistently. read more

Wanted to give this place a good review. Nice environment and seems to be a small family run shop. That being said, $16 for a steak fajitas dinner and you get probably half the portion size that you would get elsewhere and no chips for the tiny salsa containers they give you. Room to improve. Maybe I would have had a better experience had I dined in. read more

Food so delicious and fresh, has the perfect taste, their corn tortillas are hand made, dinning area always so clean, first time I tried it here I tried the chilaquiles verdes, you get to choose between verde or red sauce for your chilaquiles, you get beans and 2 eggs your way, them I decided to try the machete, which is the hand made large tortilla with cheese, chose of meat with a small side of beans and grilled onions, excelente service and so nice, decently with keep on coming here. read more
