The food (a hamburger with fries) was cooked well and paired well with the local beer. Definitely a neighborhood gem. Speaking of gems... I just want to thank Lily, our lovely bartender, who made us feel at home. We had a fun chat about nature and areas of study. I love interacting with friendly locals, they share their worldview and make you feel at home. They do have several items that are vegetarian. And since my seat was in the kitchen (not kidding) I noticed the kitchen staff was hard working and everything looked clean. The restaurant is large and trendy, and they do have English menus. And now a little of the cons. They are very understaffed. On a Saturday night it seemed like the servers couldn't keep up, we rarely saw our server and when we did, he was literally running by. Additionally the understaffing caused a lot of chaos. Since I was in the mall earlier that day, I decided to stop by and make a reservation. I watched as the hostess wrote down the reservation. I'm not sure what happened, but by the time we got there, six hours later, our reservation was lost. At first they tried to seat 7 of us at a 5 top table, then seated us in the kitchen (at this point we were happy to have any table). Our waiter took our food orders about 15 minutes later on a small electric device, yet of the 6 food orders placed (one person decided not to eat) 3 of the orders were wrong. One of our diners wanted more food but we never saw our server, from order taking, until it was time to pay (some one else brought our food). There was also some confusion about the paying part, but apparently there was enough time for the waiter to confront me about it, even though it had nothing to do with me, but instead with a couple of the orders that were wrong. I don't know. I really want to like this place because it's trendy which causes excitement. But, I'm not that excited about the place. Not to mention the food is OK, nothing I can't get somewhere else. Will I be back? I probably won't. Sorry Alex.
