We came here yesterday with our two year old toddler and I already know we'll be frequenting this place. It isn't an overwhelming selection and all the areas were perfectly organized. The kids section through the little lighthouse is SO cute and the young lady working at the register was really sweet. Pro tip, if you're a member of the YMCA, you get a discount! We didn't get a chance to try out the cafe because we were coming from having brunch, but the cafe looked really cute. I also loved that they feature and sell local artists' stationery. Always have such a great experience when we come in. Either for a new book or a coffee or pastry the staff is lovely!

In a land of mediocre breakfasts offering the same 4 options, Bodacious breaks the mold. There are several healthy non fried items that I considered -- omelette combos (that other places offer too) but also bowls, wraps and more. Plus a large coffee menu and actually decent French press coffee ( strong not bitter) I had a frittata and the hubby had Gouda grits with bacon and egg. The grits were a bit salty but overall a good dish. The frittata had good flavor. I'd have packed more greens in it but as served it was good. Side of fruit was flavorful. This is the cutest cafe/store around. It's aesthetically pleasing and there's something for everyone here. This hidden gem offers cooking classes, wine tasting, olive oil making, you name it! I tried the southwest bowl with turkey bacon and the specialty cinnamon roll iced latte - everything was delicious! I swapped out the whole milk for oat milk. This spot has literally every flavor syrup you can imagine, to create a drink of your choice. The customer service was on point, everyone was friendly and attentive. There is only street parking, but we walked over from our hotel about a 3/4 minute walk. There is plenty of seating options, whether you decide to sit inside or indulge in the sun and blue skies outside on the terrace or patio. Upstairs is where the cooking classes and shop is located. I purchased a macaron shaped trinket box, mint jubilee flavored sugar cubes, a keychain, and premade gumbo mix. I could have spent the entire day in this place. It's just a warm feeling here and decent noise level. I can't wait to go back before I leave town - if you hadn't been yet you're missing out! Cute bookstore. Nice staff. Decent cold brew. Waited 20 minutes for an avocado toast (only 1 order ahead of me). Bread is not toasted. Pre mixed guacamole type avocado spread. I'll probably skip this next time. Definitely expected better from a place with the Bodacious branding, If you could figure out how to make this avocado toast more like one from the chain La-La Land I would definitely come back. read more

Me: "Where are the books?!?" Barista: "Oh, they're up the road by the YMCA." (Me looking up things on Yelp and not finding anything) Me: "Where?" Barista: "That way (points North) and over a couple blocks. Me: "Oh. I found it on Google." So with iced americanos in hand, off we went on a .3 mile jaunt to find the bookstore. And with the exception of this place being labeled as another Bodacious shop a few blocks away (which on some time of introspection, wasn't their fault), I found a delightful bookstore. The focus is on bestsellers and new books. There aren't any used or older books. I asked about one from 2011 and no luck. There is a small outdoor area with seating and covered tables. It's along a quiet through street with beautiful cobblestone. There's a cafe, puzzles, candles, earrings and necklaces, mugs, and beyond. A cute place that is well taken care of. read more

Stopped in to find a book for the beach. Grabbed a 16oz caramel latte. I was hoping since we had sat down we might avoid the disposable cups but not a huge deal! Went in for my daughter's birthday and we were the only people in the shop. I ordered a drip coffee and she ordered a latte with oat milk, wife was in the car as she is disabled, waited 30 minutes drank my coffee and never received the latte. Asked the server if she could check on it, watched close to 30 people that came in after us receive their coffees and the server still served another 4 people and asked her again to just give me my money back. would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

cute little book store and coffee. the Book store section is rather small compared to the coffee shop but plenty of seating and can be a quiet place to work or read. that staff was great, very helpful and friendly. will probably go back for the coffee and tranquil ambience . wish they had a more extensive book selection. i was not looking for anything in particular but it's fun to just browse. oh they also have a nice little kids corner read more

Cashier attitude. I ordered 3 avocado sandwiches which is a large order for a small shop, for sure. However responding with a sigh, an eye roll, head shake makes the customer feel unwelcome. I was prepared to wait, I understand that it's a large order. I tipped her begrudgingly anyway, since she charged me right after her obvious disappointed look and I didn't want to further agitate the situation. Food was good! read more

Cozy cute book store with really great coffee! This is Definitely me and my families go to in Pensacola!

After being a frequent visitor to this store, I can no longer support this business. The staff was super awesome - a diverse mix of interesting book nerds who knew my order - so imagine my surprise one afternoon when I entered the store and saw three tiny blonde women running the place. Nothing against tiny blonde women, but they were not friendly at all. Only later did I find out what had happened. Apparently they're turning into a conservative bookstore. Certainly an odd fit for the community. I will miss the staff and the coffee, the books and cute little gifts, but I will not be back. read more

First off, a "book" store, by definition, should have more books than earrings for sale. It's a gift shop with a few books. Secondly, when we walked in there was no one behind the counter to say, "Hi!", which is what happens at real independent bookstores. Then a young woman walked toward the counter, saw me, looked away and disappeared. People, please. We're published authors, leaving town tomorrow after a wonderful two-week vacation, and saved the bookstore visit for last. We're coming back in a few months because we fell in love with Pensacola, but this is not a place we'll be returning to. Maybe the coffee's good, I don't know. read more
