Great pizza and good drinks. This appears to be THE college bar based on the clientele, and everyone was pretty chill. A few of the drinkers were animated and yelling at football, a few more were preening for their cameras, but everyone was having a good time. Plenty of space. Fast and friendly service. Pool and darts if you like your games. Happy we stopped in and will be back next time we're in town. Cheers! read more

I did NOT know Bodega had food! My brothers say the flat breads are great and I've heard good things about their wings. I have not tried any food so my review is experience and service. Only been 3 times and twice was on a Saturday night and the place is so packed and loud I couldn't stand it. I used to love places like that when I was 22, but not anymore. Haha Just my personal preference. It's a very fun place for a college crowd that enjoys crowds! Service has always been great. Spent a couple Saturday afternoon hours playing darts and our waitress was great. I missed her name but she was a tiny blonde who said she just graduated from UNL. Kudos to her. Bathrooms are nice. Parking is OK. You can park in the garage and walk a little. Casino across the street and a few other bars on the block. Not sure if they stop selling food once it gets busy. Great college crowd. If you don't like noise do NOT go on a weekend night. Nice place for Sioux City to have. read more

I cannot believe what I just witnessed. I just watched a group of 4 be dismissed from this place. FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. I watched the entire interaction. The most disgusting display of a power trip I've ever seen. I could understand if they were visibly drunk or something but that was not the case. They came in laughing at 10:00P, having a good time. it's 2025. Do better. read more

I am from Minneapolis and was visiting friends this weekend. We decided to have a night cap here. Due to my awful experience at Bodega, I think this is the worst bar on Pearl Street. When it's bar close, the employees here unnecessarily yell at patrons. The bouncers even handle customers and physically throws them out during bar close. I, a smaller woman, was forcefully grabbed by a large male employee with a man bun and thrown out the door when it turned bar close - ultimately bruising my arm. They also wouldn't let sign my tab. This was NOT acceptable. Please train your employees to keep their hands off women. I've never had such an unpleasant experience at a bar. Stay away from this place! I will never return and do not support this type of behavior in a business. I called to tell a manager about the incident. The unapologetic man was extremely rude. He said the issue was being internally addressed. The manager never apologized, argued with me, and continued to blame me for the incident. He told me I wasn't welcome at the bar and the best he could do is refund me. I asked for the name of the employee so I can move forward to press charges. The manager admitted it was him who assaulted me. So he lied and the assault is not being internally address. read more

I came by to grab a pint, eat an appetizer, and destroy my friends at pool and darts. The last part didn't go quite as planned, but hey I won one game of pool at least. The beer was very good, very clean lines on the kegs here. The food was quite good for the price and for this being a bar. There was ample space, great AC, and good music playing. I'll be back each time I visit my friends in Sioux City. read more

We visited on Saturday night. The atmosphere in the place was so lively and open. The music was a variety but super cool to see different types of music. Our waitress' name was Lisa. She smiled the whole time and was very helpful and very attentive and we never had to ask for a refill. We asked for her suggestions and food and drinks and she provided us some. The place is so awesome such a gem in Sioux City. The place was packed, I definitely recommend this place. Also they have this cool music app that connects to the music box and you can play music from your phone. That was pretty cool I wish a lot more places had that app! That was a plus!! I wish we knew about this place sooner. read more

Nice, trendy place. Great patio. Roof top dining. Good tap selection. Short food menu but done well. The chicken lollipops with sweet chili sauce was BOMB! As a business traveler this is the type of place where you can chill with a beer after work. I love that the building has a neat history. It was the first bar to officially open after prohibition (or something like that), by an alleged murderer. My server was great. The day was beautiful. I would come back again. read more

The food was excellent. The table next to us had pizza that looked delicious wish we had ordered some but we only had some appetizers. Mojito was very good! The service was great! They were very helpful with offering up suggestions it was our first time there. (It was around Halloween!) The fishbowl was AMAZING best part was the gummy worms! This place was absolutely horrible, went there while visiting my sister and I politely asked the bartender when he got a chance could he please get some drinks for my friends. He turned around yelled at me and then someone else came from around the bar telling me that if I was going to be rude I could leave, now mind you I don't drink so I was sober and I know I was not rude even the people who were with me said that the bartender was wrong. I am from Chicago so maybe because he is from Iowa and maybe not used to a louder speaking person he took what I said as rude but, I have been in the food and beverage industry since I was 14 and I'm sorry but they way they treated me was completely unacceptable. Maybe if they trained there employees to move a little faster and look up once in a while and say I'll be right there people wouldn't have to say anything to them, you are in the service industry and you are trying to make tips well that is not the way to do it. Unfortunately the staff was very disrespectful. A friend was heading back up to the rooftop from the bar when an employee stated that he could not go up there. After a discussion, our friend was practically pushed out the door by a worker! He was being civil with the staff and trying to talk things through, when he was told he would never be let back into the establishment. One staff member in particular caused this problem. So unfortunate that our weekend had to be ruined by this power hungry employee trying to flex his nuts. read more
