A staff vacuuming the mat but there were spots that required mopping, didn't happen

The gym is spacious, clean, does not smell, and people are friendly. Only complaint is that the AC could be cooler.

Best gym in Flushing! Love the atmosphere and all the different levels of athleticism there! Equipment's there and constantly updating! Women's locker room has always been super clean! I've been a member at Bodhi for a few years on and off in between work and school schedules! Any chance I get, this is the gym I will ALWAYS flock to! Staff is also super nice with a magic touch for yummy protein smoothies!

I signed up just a few weeks ago and I love this gym!! It does get really crowded but the space is huge and there are so many different weight and cardio machines. I wish they had more squat racks though...and also maybe barbell pads and mats because the "grass" area hurts me when I try to do planks. Also it smells a lil funky haha. It's not really an issue though since I end up just bringing my own little accessories. Also, everyone is really nice and friendly!! I've only been lifting for a few months and sometimes I struggle with getting plates on and off the barbell which is honestly the worst part of a workout but the dudes / workers always offer to help and not in a creepy way. So ladies don't hesitate to go to the squat racks!! They have disinfect sprays and napkins but sometimes they run out during peak hours but it's fine. Just take a shower after you're done :) I'd love to try their aerial yoga classes once they're available again.

Located in Flushing between Prince St and 35th Avenue, Bodhi Fitness Center is a upscale and recently-renovated gym with some of the most updated equipment. The fitness center is clean with staff wiping down the place during off-hours. They also provide basement parking which can sometimes get packed during 5-9PM. However, overall it provides a unique experience. If you want to try it out for a day, guest passes are $20. Annually, the membership fee is $450, half a year is $350, 3 months is $250, one month is $175. In addition, they also provide personal training classes. Gym hours are: Monday to Thursday 24 hours, Friday to Sunday 6AM-10PM. The only downside is sometimes the parking and gym can get packed during nighttime particularly between 5-9 PM. Other than that, the gym is still one of the best in Flushing, Queens.

I travel a lot for work and I'm always trying to find a gym on the road. This is one of the best I've found. Peter the owner was incredibly helpful. Great space with everything you could possibly need. You can tell when a gyms ownership cares. Can't say enough nice things about the place. Also, the orange creamsicle post workout shake was one of the best I've ever had.

Bodhi has been around for many years and grown tremendously in terms of size, equipment and staff. They also have the most welcoming staff of all the gyms in the area. It still blows my mind how they remember every member by name. I guess this is what happens when you care about the members. I've started going to bodhi in 2013 and didn't become an official member until a couple years ago. Just like most people, I shopped around and tested out various gyms in the area (plus some not in the area). The difference with Bodhi is the sense of community you don't get at most commercial gyms. Smaller gyms in the area lack equipment and often time buy old equipment to fill in the area. Bodhi has expanded the space of the gym, brought in more machines, squat racks, cables, yoga mats, classrooms and even brought in more personal trainers. In all honesty, when you walk into a gym, they are trying to just sell you a package and lurk for your money. All true, except at Bodhi. When you sign up for a membership, the staff is very clear on what the pricing is, with no hidden fees or surprise charges. The personal trainers at bodhi don't try to sell you time fillers, they build a genuine connection with their clients and you can see fitness become part of their lifestyle. For those who are still concerned about covid, the chubby Asian kid at the front who always wears different Yeezy's every day, assured me that the air filter system in the facility was changed during quarantine, prior to their reopening. In addition, I've realized that they have new sanitizing and cleaning equipment for all the machines, floors and locker rooms. Once a machine is empty, there is someone wiping it down. The members are also proactive in wiping down machines before and after use as well. The lady who always cleans the female locker room is finally back and she always does a great job. I've recommended Bodhi to many friends with different fitness backgrounds and different fitness goals to join over the past few years, and none of them switched to other gyms. They were all able to find what works for them at Bodhi. Regardless if it's aerial yoga, boxing/conditioning, spin classes, powerlifting, body building, weight training, Pilates, weight loss or just stretching to work on your flexibility, you'll fit right in. I am very excited to hear that Bodhi is expanding even more in the near future and opening classes again for all members. #ourgym

The best gym in town Always courteous and thoughtful of ALL members! Cleaning is always done as much as possible and spacious!

Look at that majestic lighting and tell me it doesn't make you want to get a sick pump.

Always feel at home here. Very clean, loaded with equipment, and the staff is very friendly, also there's a parking lot. Been a member for around 5 years. I always recommend this gym to friends looking to sign up and the lighting is fire and it feels amazing to be working out in an open and very well facility. P.S. the chubby asian guy can get it anytime.

I started my journey earlier this year and it's been roughly 8 months now and I am extremely happy that I did. The studio, firstly, is very clean and well-maintained. You can see very clearly that the staff puts a lot of care into the space through their facilities and equipment. They enforce a no-shoes policy and recommend shoes off inside, which really makes it feel even cleaner inside. The instructors here are also very welcoming and understanding of each individual. I had a neck injury halfway through the year and had to adjust the way I did some of the workouts and I was not pressured to complete a workout if I felt I couldn't. You will definitely feel supported in every aspect of your workout here as the staff is very accommodating. I have always felt comfortable and safe attending a class even throughout my recovery. I have noticed that my posture, physical health, mental health, and body have gotten 100x better. I feel stronger every day and more confident as the day continues. Doing mat pilates over the years at home, you aren't certain you are performing the moves correctly but after joining this studio I can confidently do mat pilates on the days I can't attend a class. I've since moved further away from this studio and I still make my now 1.5-hour commute to come to this studio. They have many classes throughout the week and their app makes it easy to sign up. I love their class size of 7, though it isn't 1 on 1, you still get a very similar feeling since the class is on the smaller side compared to other studios. Overall, I would 100% recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to strengthen their body inside and out. I've already invited several friends to join me and they have all loved it. Don't forget to bring grip socks though :)!

I have been going now for a month and the studio is clean and we wipe down each bench at the end of each session. First off, the website is like a blog and mostly in Chinese and it was very hard to find the number and email. You cannot call as it is text only - and when you do you get an automated message that states that we need to download WeChat. Many people don't have that app. I scheduled the same class again this week and wanted to confirm that the class was still on. I texted the number instead of downloading WeChat and the owner responded back, which I appreciated. But she said they normally cancel the class if they don't have 3 or more people signed up. That is so bizarre I've never heard of that. I've taken many yoga classes and never had that experience- and sometimes I'm the only student in the class and the teacher still shows up. I didn't realize that you had to pay $5 to use their mat or to bring your own mat- however this was my fault - I should have read the email for that information. But again, I've taken many yoga classes throughout the years and never had to pay to use a mat. Another bizarre thing is you need to wait for the instructor in the lobby in order to enter the studio. If you click on the elevator button it will not go up to the "m level" as only the instructor has the key to go up the building. I got there earlier and was confused and kept pressing the elevator button and it was not going up. Luckily, I bumped into the instructor in the lobby. The yoga studio is dark and there are no windows or natural light. It also gets a bit stuffy in there The instructor was nice, but she is clearly new at teaching. There was no flow and the transitions were awkward. It felt like a Pilates class because she kept doing repetitions and would say "do this 10-20 times" and "hold it" On top of that she was doing adjustments on everyone. I am fine with adjustments but she should ask in the beginning of class if people are comfortable to being adjusted and touched. She adjusted one girl and I heard her say "ouch" and was in pain. This is a beginners yoga class and yet she was teaching headstands, one legged pigeon, and camel pose. All the students had difficulty with those poses and the instructor wasn't providing modified or alternative poses which is very dangerous. She didn't put music on until the end of the class- not sure if she had trouble with turning on the music. Lastly, she was looking at her watch/ phone every 10 minutes to see how much time was left and even ended 3 minutes earlier. She realized and decided to add a last minute exercise to fill the remaining time.

As a black person, I felt so uncomfortable at this gym that I only went once, ended my membership…read morethe same day and after speaking with the Membership Director, received a full refund for the month that I paid for. I recently moved to Queens and switched my YMCA from Prospect Park to Flushing. This Y is a major downgrade from the Prospect Park location in so many ways. most importantly the staff. I went to the small pool to do water aerobics. I have a mini tripod that attach to my phone and I watch a YouTube video of water aerobics and follow along. I have done this at at lease 3 different gyms, and SEVERAL times at the Prospect Park YMCA with absolutely no issues whatsoever. As soon as I walk in, although there are many swimmers in the pool, the white lifeguard immediately notices me. She is across the room and starts YELLING at me. "There's no phones allowed in the pool That's the Y's policy!" I say "what policy? I didn't have any issues with the Prospect Park Y." She then yells back, "Well this ain't Prospect Park." Then I ask her what the issue is and she ANGRILY yells, "We're not going to be responsible if you mess up your phone." I reply that I wasn't expecting them to be responsible if I damage my phone and that I'll pit it further away from the water. She waves me off. Then she yells to one of the swimmers that inquired about what was going on "Phones aren't allowed! She's on her phone!' I yell, "Well get the manager if it's a problem." She taps the walkie talkie on her hip and cockily replies "Oh, he's coming!" The manager comes in and says "We can't have phones in the pool, it's against our policy." Then escorts me out of the pool. I was humiliated!!! After I got dressed, I asked him to show me where this policy is written. He could not. All he could say was "It's against our policy to have phones in the pool area and the locker rooms" and gave me his manager's card to contact. After contacting his manager, she explained that their policy is that phones aren't allowed in the locker room nor the pool to protect the member's privacy. In my opinion, this could've been handled MUCH better and it would've been if she didn't immediately see me as a Nefarious Negro up to no good. All the life guard needed to do was ask me what I was doing with the phone. Instead she immediately started yelling and got aggressively defensive. Should I have matched her energy, I would've been labeled the angry black woman, the aggressor and I would've probably been banned from the Y. This was an egregious micro aggression that left me extremely embarrassed and made me feel unsafe. I was escorted out like I was some shady black criminal that should've never had access to that space in the first place. To add to this, the gym is filthy. The pool area had crud on it, the locker rooms were also disgusting. It's also very old with the exception of the cardio room that was recently renovated. Parking is also horrible. If you are black, I would avoid this YMCA at all costs. Not only does the staff not know how to communicate policies properly, and it's clear that they themselves are unclear about the policy, but they come off as RACISTS. This location also has very few black members which could be why the lifeguard was so startled that a Negro was in the midst.
