Talk about frustrating conditions and poor communication. The property manager no-showed our scheduled tour, and we waited about an hour before hearing back--only to learn another tour had been prioritized. We also observed significant chipping and peeling paint and chose to pay for an independent inspection. The results indicated lead levels in paint debris exceeding EPA thresholds in both the bedroom and living room. When we asked whether remediation would take place, we were told it would not. We provided a copy of the inspection report for the unit at 56 E Lancaster Ave (2nd floor, 1B1B) to the property manager and were surprised by the response. Based on this experience, we felt uncomfortable moving forward and believe future tenants should be fully informed. read more

They were ready to lease a unit with documented lead levels above EPA hazard standards. I was a prospective tenant for a property under their management and was close to signing a lease when I noticed the unit had not been certified as lead-safe after reviewing the lease documents. Because of this, I paid out of pocket for a certified lead dust inspection. The results showed floor lead levels significantly above EPA hazard standards (multiple times the allowable limit). After sharing these results with Mike McNally and the property owner, I was told they did not intend to remediate the issue and would instead proceed with disclosure. I was also told they were not concerned about the results being reported to the health department. This was extremely concerning, as these levels meet the definition of a lead hazard and can pose real health risks to occupants. It raises serious questions about how other safety issues may be handled. Separately, communication and professionalism were consistently poor. When I initially scheduled a tour, I arrived only a few minutes late but was left waiting for over an hour with no response despite multiple calls. I eventually received a text saying there was another tour scheduled and was asked to reschedule, even though my appointment had been booked in advance. While I was later given access for a self-guided tour, the lack of communication and disregard for scheduling was frustrating and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend exercising caution when considering properties under this management. read more

I had a terrible experience with Bodhi, that left me thinking this company might be a scam. I saw an apartment; decided to pursue it; filed the background check; passed the background check; but then I was forced to delay signing the lease because of my own extenuating circumstances. When my circumstances subsided, I called again. For 2-weeks I got no response. When I finally got a response, I looked at the apartment again, and again I said I would sign. I went to sign but some details on the lease were incorrect. Bodhi modified the lease and I went to sign it but the DocuSign would not permit me to sign. This is when Bodhi went silent again. It has been 2-weeks and I have not received a call back. What business person does not have the decency to call or text with a simple resolution? Only a scammer would treat a customer so poorly. read more

I rented an apartment from them for over two years (they were Main Line Executive Management prior to Bodhi) and have nothing but good things to say. They were very helpful in finding an apartment that fit my needs and throughout the whole time renting from them I never had one problem. The few repairs that were needed at the apartment during that time were handled quickly and any questions were also answered promptly. Overall, I got the feeling that they treated their tenants as people and not just another rent check. If I ever find myself moving back to the Philadelphia area, I will be checking apartments with them first. read more

I am currently renting under Michael and Bodhi Real Estate. We have had a leakage issue in our bathroom and kitchen (mind you it's only a 350 sq ft apartment so that's basically.. the whole apartment ceiling) has been leaking since the month after we moved in. Each time we have called in a maintenance request, the property manager and staff has ignored our requests and even at one point threatened us by saying, "you should look for a new place to live." Meanwhile, we have had God knows what draining down from our ceiling for almost the length of our entire lease. read more

I had a disappointing experience with Bodhi real Estate. They represent some "hot" properties in Bryn Mawr. I called the office and spoke with the rental guy on two occasions, set up a viewing appointment only to have it cancelled the night before the appointment. Apparently the broker had already agreed to show the home to someone else in May and I guess he assumes they will take it. Not sure why the rental guy and broker aren't on the same page. There seems to be lack of communication between these two and they didn't seem to care about the potential client. Skip the office staff and speak to the broker directly as he seems to be the one with all the info. read more

I am a current tenant in a property managed by Bodhi. From the beginning, they've been nothing but transparent and straightforward, which is something that I value. For example, I saw a listing for my current apartment on a Thursday, made an appointment to see it the next day, and had a signed lease within the week. When I contact them with a question or concern (which is rare), they've always responded immediately and given me a solid answer. I pay my rent online, no one has entered my apartment without me knowing it, and I don't see anyone who maintains the property (in a good way). As an even better example of why I like these guys, I was commuting from New Jersey to Ardmore every day before I got my apartment out here. Because my lease start date of July 1st started in the middle of a week, they let me get the keys to my apartment and start moving in a few days before, and without charging me for the extra days. They know how difficult the move-in and move-out process is, and they were willing to work with me and my schedule. That's worth its weight in gold as far as I'm concerned. I was very disappointed with the service. I scheduled an appointment to see two listing with someone for a weekend viewing since I work a full time job M-F . He confirmed the date, time and everything. The Saturday I was suppose to see the properties I reached out to the agent and I got no response. I went to the first property at the time I was scheduled and called his number again. I left 2 voice mails and told him to call me back. I never received a response via phone or email and I waited outside the property for over half an hour. Even if the properties were taken off the market, I was never notified and no one even had the decency to call me back. If this is how they treat their clients then I wonder how they treat their tenants? read more

Please disregard the review left by vo, the ceilings are so low a baby could change the bulbs I do all the time because who wants a million calls about a light bulb, yes the contractor took it. I told him too. He also showed up on Christmas eve to fix your leaking running toilet, he also went through the entire building and told each tenant face to face he was painting expect wet paint 24/7 for the next 2 weeks. He also showed me the text where he offered to Have your purse professionally cleaned, but you declined by saying it's "only a $60 purse" he's also a full-time worker with a family to feed, like 15 hour+ days so when he calls because your to lazy to put a chain on your toilet flusher after he called explained how to. And you D building tenants all have 1 bedrooms A building features true studios b building still has 2 or 3 1bedrooms and the remaining five are efficiency, cbuilding is half gutted (vacant) and 3-1 bedrooms soo your a lier...I lived here awhile btw, oh and the radiators Jack and bodhi both left notices in fact Im pretty sure they sent certified mail, could be wrong tho. In regards to the other reviews I couldn't tell ya, I know he's a new company and as a tenant I've seen the growth, so Mike Jack Chris and the other guys who spent countless. Days hours and nights making this old section 8 better, it's really come along way from the days of the bed bugs but I hold you to 4 stars because I want a renovation:)' lol read more
