I've spent the last four days considering this review and am ready to lay it out. There is no question that Sarah has great service, to speak to that; I called Sarah on a Wednesday to see if I could get in on Thursday morning. She double checked her calendar and said she could get me in. After much conversation, Sarah let me know about the Yelp deals and we agreed to an hour and a half, which for first time clients was only $65. Pretty impressive! The office was in a good location and she was sure to make the experience relaxing and comfortable. So one may ask, why four stars... Sarah did a great job listening and also had great technique on the trigger points. The one thing I have issues with is the knots in my shoulder blades. I'm not sure if we didn't have enough time for her to work them all out or if she did not find them with the other stress and strain in my back. At the end of the day, the knots are my biggest reason to get massages regularly. I will schedule another appointment at her office and encourage others to do the same. Not only did I find a super awesome coupon here on yelp but the price (even without the coupon) is entirely worth it! Sarah is professional, charismatic, and a total artist at her craft. She offers various types of massages and other awesome tid bits that will make you feel relaxed ad well taken care of. I found her on yelp and due to the previous amazing ratings, I called her up and was set up with an appointment promptly. She is a great communicator who calls back in a reasonable amount of time and even texts if you are as busy as I am. Her new office is easy to find, clean, and very inviting. I chose the 60 min wellness (deep tissue massage) with the hot rocks (seriously, heaven!) and could not have been more happy. I plan to return once a month if not more frequently. I am delighted that I am giving a good review on this business. I finally kicked myself to get a massage after many years of meaning to have a professional massage. The barrier for me was spending money on unnecessary things, which professional massage was in this category. I was doing a remodeling project on my home. I was lifting 5/8 8 ft x 4 ft drywall by myself. This decision resulted a strained muscle in my back. Yeah...it was not a wise decision. After few weeks of this incident, my back had not forgiven me by easing the pain and tightness in my back. So, I turned to Yelp to find one. The reviews on Sarah Jane led me to her. One review stood out, which it said that Sarah Jane knew exactly where to work on in toning down the muscle tightness. Upon our first appointment, she took time to talk with me. At the whole time, she was so centered with herself. She knew where to tackle on my muscle with deep tissue massage. It was painful and I was thankful that I have good pain tolerance. After the massage, my back felt so much better. I went back for second appointment to crush out the remaining tightness. Be aware that it varies with individuals for their massage needs. As for my case, I knew that I needed several visits to iron out my muscle tightness. After the second visit, my body felt like a 20 years old body. I am double that age. I will see her again for third visit. I am looking forward to it. Now, I have decided that massage therapy belongs to necessary category for health maintenance just like spending on synthetic oil for my car. read more

My friend gave me a gift certificate last Christmas for a 90 minute massage. I know...what a great friend! I finally got around to using it in July. I guess I was saving it for when I really needed a massage. Then I thought, "I could use a massage every week." So I called to make an appointment with the owner Sarah. We played phone tag for a bit because she was out of town the weekend I called, and then she was all booked up on the weekends for a couple weeks. I decided on a Thursday at 5pm. She's located in a room, literally a "room", in a building downtown on K Street mall, right next too Starbucks. She offers free parking validation at the lot across the street, next to 24 Hour Fitness, and a bottle of water when you arrive. Extremely nice, knowledgable, and professional. She took a few minutes to explain the type of massage I would be getting ("Wellness", aka Swedish), and was open to any questions or concerns I had about it. Sarah's got great hands! I was so pleased with her massage techniques. She put me to sleep at one point. The "room" is very peaceful and relaxing. She used nicely scented lotions and candles, with some soothing instrumental music playing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. She offers a $20 discount on your next booking if you do it within 5 weeks of your initial appointment. So worth it! read more

Sarah is a great artist. You should try her out. As a new client you get a discount. My first time was a 1.5 hour massage plus the hot towels, which I love. I always get cold but her heated mattress pad and even a special heating pad for my feet was perfect. Her music is played nice and softly and stays in the background just like it should. Be careful about parking in the garage. I parked for around 2 hours and even with her $5 parking coupon I still had to pay $3. Next time I will go into 24 hours gym where I am a member and get validated for more time. read more

I've been going to Ahh-fordable Body Works for about two years now. I'm very picky when it comes to massages because I need deep tissue therapeutic massage but that often hurts since I have chronic neck and back pain (that's where I carry all my stress). The reason I've continued to go to Sarah at Ahh-fordable Body Works is because her massages are incredibly therapeutic and still very much enjoyable and relaxing. She has an amazing talent and I recommend her to everyone. When my family comes to visit they always ask if I can get them an appointment with her while they're in town. Sometimes I wonder if they're coming to visit me or get a massage! Price-wise, well it's in the name. I think it's very affordable and fairly priced. I picked up one of her cards in the muffin store downtown and thought I would give her a try. The price was right. She is wonderful and I went to her several times before she moved. I would still be going except Rancho Cordova is too far. She gave me a couple of referrals, but if they are not as good I will go to Rancho Cordova to see her. She doesn't just massage like other people I have been to. She talks to you before and after about your problem areas. She recommends things you can do at home in between massages. read more
