As you'd expect, it's heavily themed around everything Great Wolf Lodge. The moment you walk in, you're surrounded by the lodge's characters, colors, and overall playful atmosphere. It really feels like an extension of the resort experience rather than just a quick place to grab souvenirs.
The shop is actually divided into a few smaller sections that feel like mini-stores within the larger space. One of the most fun areas is definitely the candy shop, which features a big wall of colorful candies that you can mix and match. It also has a pretty solid selection of classic candy favorites, along with a few treats that are themed specifically for Great Wolf Lodge. It's the kind of display that kids immediately gravitate toward--and honestly, adults too.
Speaking of candy, this is also where you can grab the 8-ounce fill-it-yourself candy cup, which currently runs about $13.99. It's a fun little activity for kids to pick out their own mix. This is also where you'll pick up the free Great Wolf ears, which adds to the whole experience and makes the kids feel like they're part of the lodge adventure.
Another neat feature inside the shop is a small Build-A-Bear style section. They offer a variety of bears you can build, including several themed specifically around Great Wolf Lodge. The pricing is actually fairly reasonable for this type of attraction, which was a nice surprise.
Beyond that, there's also a good selection of generic stuffed animals as well as plush versions of the resort's mascots. The character they were really highlighting during our visit was Luna, which ties into the nightly storytime they host in the lobby. They run that story twice each night, and Luna plays a big part in it, so it makes sense that the plush version was front and center.
The store also carries a large variety of themed clothing, including t-shirts, hoodies, pajamas, and other Great Wolf Lodge merchandise. If you want something to remember the trip--or something for the kids to wear during their stay--you'll definitely find plenty of options.
My wife and I ended up picking up a few shirts for the kids along with a couple of stuffed animals, which felt like the perfect little souvenirs from the trip.
Overall, it's exactly what you'd expect from a resort gift shop--but in a good way. It's colorful, themed, fun for kids, and full of souvenirs that tie into the overall Great Wolf Lodge experience. If you're staying at the resort, it's definitely worth stopping in to take a look.
