The burritos are medium/smaller but it matches with the price you pay for it. The burrito was decent, as the ingredients were not the freshest but not old by any means. As for allergens, we asked in regards to my partners burrito and they said it should be okay. Unfortunately she did have a mild allergic reaction, and I understand accidents happen but something to note. As for the store itself, its a pretty large place and they sell a variety of plushies, blind boxes and vinyl figurines. I want to love it but it was just okay overall.

Thus, today it was simply a Taichi Milk Tea with Boba. Please do not quote me on this, but it seems they use a special kind of milk? Whatever the case, the result was delicious! The tea and milk flavors were both noticeable but not overwhelming or overpowering in any way. Excellent amount of 'bite' from the tea and savory/creamy notes from the milk. The sugar and ice levels in the default beverage were on-point as well! I often find myself having to specify "less sugar" and "less ice". While such customizations are built into the menu, it's lovely that the base isn't gobs of ice and sugar. The boba was fine, nothing to write home (on Yelp?) about here. The vibe inside is lovely. It is wood, black and splashes of color. The service was polite and speedy (though to be fair - it wasn't very busy at the time). While I am not yet local to Chicago, I will be in a few months. When this happens, I look forward to returning, and trying some poke and ramen as well!

I loved the tea break and the beautiful little courtyard in back. A lovely place to do tai chi (and wonderful people. I was treated like a king coming in as an out of town guest). If you are brand new to tai chi and reading this. I've been a member of the Taoist Tai Chi Society since 1998. If you are interested in trying tai chi I suggest you try it because it's made a huge difference in my life (whichever form, just get out and do it). The first class at the center is free and they regularly have open houses. This club has a few things I really like - (a) it's an international club so if you move somewhere / travel you can often find a club in your area doing the same style, which was a huge benefit for me since I moved 2 years after starting. (b) The style is soft and non-martial, focused on internal alchemy to improve one's health. It's great for any age and will over time transform your body. (c) as you advance you can learn other forms (sword, saber, lok hup, hsing yi) , and the process of dual cultivation is there (mind and body) should you choose to want to explore chanting, or more spiritual activities...but the focus on all the early classes is simply learning tai chi (which is plenty when you're starting...trust me!)

I've been coming here a couple months, and cannot say enough about the class structure and instructor. Since I'm a way beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this workout is different from classes I've taken for yoga, Zumba and most cardio-type class structures, since I didn't have to just "pick up" where the class was at. The class instructor (Stirling) is excellent, and takes time to show you each move and guides you every step of the way. He is very thorough, non-critical, peaceful, skilled and patient. It's a class you can take at any level and not feel lost or behind. If you're advanced, Stirling has been doing Tai Chi since the 70s and is skilled in the various forms, such as sword form. He has a lot of students that are at advanced levels and can also provide instruction. If you're a beginner like me, the practice is so fascinating and you don't necessarily need practice/knowledge to start, since you will definitely learn and "feel" when the moves are correct. There are a lot of underlying principals when it comes to perfecting the form - learning these has had a huge impact on my progress. Learning how each move can be used in combat is so empowering! Benefits I've gotten: A lot of energy as opposed to lethargic, physical and mental balance and strength, reduced stress/increased calmness, greater ability to focus, and stronger legs, arms and core

I recently planned a scavenger hunt for my daughter's birthday party and was thinking a mini martial arts class may be fun. However, when I looked at their website I noticed they had virtual reality, which I knew would be an even bigger hit among the 3rd grade girls. I set up a virtual reality station w/ Richard for the scav hunt and it was the highlight (among many other amazing activities). There were 3 different stations for the kids to choose from including a roller coaster for the bravest of the kids. I did it myself and it truly feels like you're on a real roller coaster. Richard went out of his way to make sure the kids had fun and even brought in a DJ to make it extra fun. So many of the kids mentioned to me they had no idea Temple of Kung Fu was even in the mall and can't wait to go back. Virtual reality and martial arts are just a few of the things Richard/Kung Fu offers so definitely encourage you to check it out!
