It's been 5 months since my initial review of Body Beautiful, and I've remained a steady return customer. In addition to finishing my last few laser hair removal sessions, I've also continued seeing Maria for some electrolysis, and another IPL laser procedure used to lighten a very dark birthmark that's been an annoyance to me since I was a kid. Despite the fact that all of these things involve some degree of discomfort (as the quote goes, "beauty is pain"), Maria and her staff really make the experience as pleasant as possible. They are so friendly, and make the whole visit as comfortable as they can. I always know exactly what she is doing in the procedure, and throughout she keeps frequent tabs on how I am feeling and making sure the pain level is not too much. She is sensitive to not only how it feels at the time, but to how my skin reacts in the days after. After my first electolysis session, my skin was red and bumpy for a few days afterwards. When I told her this, she easily adjusted some settings for my second session, and my skin was back to normal much quicker that time. It's very clear she knows what she's doing. I love that I always feel like their attention is 100% on me - before, during, and after my visit. The treatments really are customized to each client's individual hair color and skin type. You'll feel like you are getting worked on by a friend - only a friend who is super knowledgable and highly trained in her field. The next time American Laser Centers rolls out yet another Groupon offering to zap Big Foot hairless for only $10 in Monopoly money, fight the urge...when someone is holding a laser next to your skin, you don't want the bargain, you want the best! DO NOT GO HERE!! I visited this place for the first time two weeks ago, and it will also be my last. The experience was disappointing from start to finish, and I regret not leaving after the consultation, which was basically just a price estimate with no clear explanation. Roda was unprofessional and unclear throughout the process. She didn't even tell me how many units of Dysport she was injecting into my forehead--just quoted me $300 and did only three pokes. I thought it was odd but went ahead with it. Today, I went back for my "two-week follow-up," hoping to address my concerns about the results. I told her I wasn't happy, but instead of offering a solution, she said, "I think it's good, you don't need any more." Her response was dismissive--especially when I explained that I wanted less movement and fewer lines. It felt like she didn't care what I wanted because, apparently, she's happy with the results, so that's all that matters, right? My face, my unhappiness, but as long as she's happy, everything's fine. Even worse, during my original appointment, Roda assured me that if I wasn't satisfied with the results after two weeks, I could come back for adjustments. Today, she completely ignored that promise. The office staff wasn't much help either. When I called to inquire about my appointment, they were clueless. Please, do your research before choosing where to go for any treatments. Trusting your face to someone who doesn't listen to your concerns is a huge risk. This place did not meet the standard of care I was expecting. read more

Here's my year and a half update and all I can say is WOW! Completed my 6 treatments and guess what? It truly worked! I'm hair free, which is a miracle for a Mediterranean chick like me! I am still SO utterly grateful for the wonderful staff and service they provide, and I constantly brag about them to anyone who asks about laser. Maria is supremely knowledgable about everything hair and skin and a passionate perfectionist to boot. That's a mark of a true expert and professional. Not to mention everyone is sweet and compassionate. I wish more people would go here and not waste their hard-earned money on the shadier places. This place has been an absolute miracle for me. Body Beautiful has changed my life and my experience has been truly outstanding. I am a female in my early 30's with PCOS & hyperandrogenism. I have had problems with excess-hair my whole life. Before starting LHR treatments at Body Beautiful LLC in August of 2011 I had been shaving my face every day since I was a teenager. Even with a super close shave I would always have dark shadows under my skin that no makeup would completely cover. It was something I was incredibly self-conscious about and my appearance kept me from feeling good about myself, making me want to hide in the house rather than go out and be social. I spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars each year on the fanciest razors and makeup, but nothing fixed the problem. Then I found Body Beautiful. At my first visit, I expressed concern that my case was too severe for Laser to help, but Maria assured me that she could fix the problem and get my hair to go away, which is exactly what she did! After several treatments (you have to stick with it!!) my face is completely clear. I no longer have to shave and barely need makeup. The difference is AMAZING, waaay beyond what I had hoped for, and I wish I would've found Body Beautiful years ago. The facility is very clean, bright, and spa-like. Everyone is super friendly. The estheticians go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and well-informed about what your treatment will be like and what kind of results to expect. Scheduling an appointment is a breeze and I've never had a very long wait in the waiting room. I've only ever worked with Maria but I have heard wonderful things about the other estheticians, and would feel comfortable being treated by any of them. I had maria do electrolysis for me on my upper lip and face where I get clogged pores. She was very thorough and explained So much to me. She gives u a tiny mirror to hold and watch what she's doing and I had the time of my lifeeee. So much satisfaction out of watching her get the hair and also clean out ur pores at the same time. I am giving 5 stars. Here are the reasons why. I started electrolysis a few months ago and I am very pleased with the results. Maria and her staff are very helpful, accommodating, and best of all the hair removal has been a complete success. I used to be self-conscious about my facial hair, but all of that is now in the past. I also have tried electrolysis at a few other places and my experience at Body Beautiful makes me sad that I didn't find Body Beautiful sooner.
