Came for one workout early Saturday morning through ClassPass!…read more The layout: there are no separate rooms built into this fitness studio. It's just one big open room with equipment laid out. There's a few chairs around the room and Sam (the head trainer and owner) has a podium at the front to do any admin things like paperwork. The workout: There were about 5 other women there for the session that day and we started just a couple minutes after 9 am with a core warmup. this session was called "open gym" so the two trainers created different stations throughout the room including weighted squats, a bench press, ropes, etc. Kinda like boot camp drills. There were about 10 different total small workouts and every attendee was supposed to complete 15 reps of each activity 3 times. It. Was. A. Workout. Trainers/environment: super fun environment. Music is loud and hype which makes these kinds of workouts more fun! Trainer Sam and her other trainer seemed to know everyone super personally which is awesome. They walked around and continued to fix your form and push a workout until you hit your best. The other ladies were also super friendly. By the end, I was a sweaty mess but felt good. The morning after is here, and it feels like someone's put a ton of bricks on parts of my body but rest assured, the soreness means it worked! $$: I came to this through classpass so I thought it was worth it but not sure if I'd pay full price for a subscription! I joined Forge-Rx after being a member of the larger gym in town. That particular gym did not have…read moreenough equipment for enrollment size. Forge RX is a smaller, family owned gym. The owners are good people. I do like that they have several sets of dumbbells, so you aren't waiting for people to finish their set (most women use 10 to 25 lbs. There are many sets throughout the gym). They keep the gym clean, which is a major plus to me. They take pride in their gym. The only minor issue I had was I was working out in the smaller weight area behind the front desk & the young lady came and fumigated the area w Lysol as I was working out. It's not something I want to deeply inhale as I'm "in the zone". The lockers in the female locker room are hit or miss w the locks working & a lot of people just leave their stuff there on a permanent basis making it hard to find an empty locker sometimes to secure your belongings. It is a smaller gym, so there is no hip abuctor machine or leg curl. There is only one smith machine which is popular. There are a lot of teenagers that work out as a group here and take a good bit of time on the machines doing their sets. Which, it's good to see them engaged in a healthy lifestyle, I just wish there were more machines. They do offertraininh classes and nutrition guidance (for a fee). I have not used these services, but my neighbor does and she looks absolutely amazing. They do have a smaller infared sauna that you can pay extra for. Just be sure to schedule your time to ensure you get to use it. I take my own bath towel & sweat it all out. (They have smaller, hard sized towels to sit on) The area is kept very clean & I have seen the health benefits already. Overall, I enjoy this gym verses the others in town & if you're looking for a lot of weight loss, it appears to me that their coaching programs are worth it and small enough that you get personalized attention.

I took my first class wIth Cheryl and received a warm welcome and a challenging class that continues to push me. I've actually become a regular in her class. I've also taken the Power Pilates class twice and I'm pleased to announce that though it was my first time I found it to be a great workout. I've taken the Restorative Yoga class after having a member recommend it. The instructor of that class was Kia( she also taught my second Pilates class) she welcomed me and answered my questions after the class.
