I've bought clothing from Body Central in the past. Cute, trendy clothes. But for some reason on my recent order, everything was terrible! Their shirt, size L, was way bigger than shirts I've bought in the past of the same size. Had to return it. I bought two necklaces. One was backordered, and when it arrived, all of the beads on the necklace weren't strung on the necklace! I sent that necklace back as soon as I saw the mess in the bag. I couldn't open the clasp on the other necklace I bought. I had to ask my mom, who makes her own jewelry, to fix the necklace so I could actually put it on. So from one order, one item is defective, another was defective but I was able to fix it, and the third item had to be returned because their sizing isn't accurate. WORST EVER!!I wish I can give it ZERO star. Ordered on Jan, 2014 for my honeymoon in early Feb, 2014. The item didn't arrive until late Feb which I didn't receive until I got back from my Honeymoon. As you can see, I have no use for this item anymore. I emailed customer service multiple times that I need it before my Honeymoon. NO RESPONSE from Body Central. I finally called after I got back from my Honeymoon that I want to return the item, and they told me the item is non-refundable, non-returnable, no exchange either. I mean really? Which company now doesn't take returns or exchanges these days especially online orders. The rep I spoke to told me they want to provide the best customer experience, and yet that's the best they can do for me NO REFUND, NO RETURN, NOT EVEN EXCHANGE for something they didn't deliver on time. Body central is a great clothing catalog and store. They sell womans clothing sizes 2-12 including bottoms, tops, dresses, bathing suits, shoes, and jewelry. Their clothing is young and fun and inexpensive. They always have great sales and deals. I just recently got linens pants for work for $14.50 a pair. I bought them in green and navy (they were out of khaki). The only time i have seen the actually store is when i was shopping in a mall in North Carolina. Im sure they have them other places but none near Boston. Anyway I do my ordering by catalog or at Bodyc.com Check them out, they wont let you down! read more

I. Bought from BC then read horrible reviews and was so worried about wasting $300 in cheap clothes that probably weren't going to fit. My package came exactly 9 days later, which I don't think is too bad for ground shipping and I live in Cali. Everything fit except one size M shirt was too tiny, it fit my 13 y/o size 0 daughter so I gave it to her. It looked super cute. Nothing was ripped or coming apart like some of the other reviews stated. The quality of the clothing was good especially for the prices. Over all I was really satisfied. Yes it's true that some items may run too small but that's the chance u take when ordering online. And customer service was helpful and polite. read more

Worst shipping options ever... After ordering a few tops for my wife and paying $11.95 in shipping cost (GROUND) it's scheduled to arrive 11 days later! Really?! Pathetic. I'm not expecting free shipping (would be nice though) but for basically $12 dollars they stick me with the slowest possible shipping method. My daughter is a frequent shopper at this location and also at the Chesterfield Mall location. Unfortunately, on 2/20/13 she attempted to return a blouse she purchased 3 weeks ago. She wore it once, laundered it, and it came out of the wash - frayed. Needless to say she was upset - as she purchased the item on sale (6.99) and really liked the blouse. I allowed her to go back to the store on her own and make her return while I shopped at Macy's, she came back to me and was so upset - telling me the cashier at Body Central failed to return her blouse because the tags had been pulled off, the cashier also kept the receipt and refused to give it back to her. I then asked her where the blouse was - she stated she was so insulted she threw it in the trash at the store in front of the cashier. I then made tracks to the body central store - but my daughter stopped me saying, "I am done with shopping at their store - they have been so rude and humiliated me" As a consumer and a parent of a teen daughter who is an avid shopper, I let her make this decision, as she is growing up to be a young lady and by not going back to the store is a decision she has made - I went with her decision. I just thought your corporation should know about the fact that other clothing stores allow for returns of defective merchandise - even if a tag is removed and if it laundered. It is an appalling practice to sell inferior merchandise and not allow for returns (she would have spent it at the store - if allowed to return her item), also what I find disheartening is the fact that some cashier can treat customers (teens with a passion for fashion, love of shopping and a highly disposable income - she has her own p/t job) in such a manner ---- especially over $7.00, which I find even more insulting. I hope that you can resolve this issue by compensating my teen, by providing better quality of merchandise, and by hiring/training your staff to be more kind, helpful and less insulting. Also weigh the issue that you have lost a great deal of teen consumers - as my kid has a lot of teen friends who often frequent the mid rivers mall and this store in particular. However, the day was not lost - as we ended up going to Macy's and New York and Co. where I purchased her jeans, a cardigan, and tank for layering. I consoled my daughter by advising her that Body Central will not be in business for long if they continue employing the same poor practices and by treating customers like crap. read more

I am very unhappy with the way my business transaction was conducted with body central. I purchased a skirt through their website on March 29th and was told it would be back ordered until May 5th. I have been waiting and waiting to receive the skirt in the mail and it hasn't showed up. I called customer service inquiring about the skirt and was told I had to wait another two months!!! No one from the company bothered to call or, email me to inform me that i would now be waiting three months for my skirt!!! The woman I talked to was not sympathetic at all to my frustration. I am a customer from Body central since 2010 and I couldn't be more pleased , for those saying that the store sells bad quality and " junk" clothing its totally wrong..just because someone had a bad experience doesn't mean the store is a piece of trash. I think the prices are unbeatable , the customer service is good. i sent them emails in the past and after 24 hours they would reply or even give me a call back to my cellphone , the clothing its super cute and fashion. My wife waited in line to make an exchange that bordered on the lunacy of the movie Ground Hog Day. The cashier initially took the returned item, but kept sending my wife back to end of the line and did not provide clear directions on the exchange process. Addiitionlly, the manager Jessica laughed out loud with the cashier while this kept happening. My family was publically humiliated while the manager adn cashier displayed a clear lack of training and professionalism in good basic customer service. My family frequents this store often, but will never shop at the Orange Park, Fl store again. There are far too many other stores with similar merchandise that is willing to make the shopping experience a pleasure and not one of frustration. read more

I've been taking my 15 yr old niece, who doesn't have much, shopping at B/C. She had saved $25.00 and bought a jacket. Within the 1st week, one of the snaps fell off and there wasn't any way to fix it back. Her mother tried to exchange it and B/C associates were rude to her. At that point Autumn continued to wear the jacket. When it was washed, by itself, the jacket had fuzz all over the sleeves. I went back to B/C, explained what happened to the manager on duty, and the other sales rep(who was waiting on a customer), told me I didn't know how to wash clothes. She continued to belittle me while the "manager" never opened her mouth!! I will never go back there or take my niece!!! This happened at the Ashland, KY store. read more

I have been shopping at body central since I was about 20 years old, I'm 30 now, as the company gets bigger the worse the customer value gets. I can only order from them because there is no actual store in the state of Colorado. I never use to have problems with ordering and returning items with them. Now, it's a horrible nightmare! They never answer emails or calls, matter of fact, I am sitting on hold now, about a return, and I have been on hold for 49 min so far. My tracking says they received my return 2 weeks ago, I have not heard anything from them about recieving it, let alone returning the correct iteam. Now I'm starting worry. I had a family member who had a magazine from Body Central and just looking at the clothes in the magazine they seemed cute. So I thought I would order a copy items. I ordered 4 and when I checked on the status the next day to see when it was to ship out I noticed that the prices were lowered due a sale. So I called the company to see if they could discount me as the order was not even shipped out yet. After speaking with 2 people they told me that there was nothing that they could do for me and the price was what it was. So a few days later I got the items and the quality was no better than Walmart. After 1-2 washes they are no longer wearable and one of the shirts sizes was totally wrong. I ordered a large and they sent a small. However when I called about that they said I could reorder it but I would have to pay for it again. What the heck?!!! This store is one to avoid, your better off going to Target or another decent store to purchase better quality and longer lasting clothes. They are cute but don't expect anything out of them. I love the Body Central store....but when it comes to ordering products online, I would STEER CLEAR. I ordered three cardigans and a pencil skirt from their website (10/13/13). All shipped but one cardigan which I was told would ship out on November 11. When the items arrived, none of them fit like I wanted them to so I decide to return them to my local Body Central Store which I thought would be no big deal. Apparently, items ordered from their online website can only be sent back and cannot be taken back to a store. This, my friends, is beyond ridiculous. Not only did I have to pay over $12 to ship these items back, but I went in the hole because the store refused to accept them. Also, I just received an email this morning (12/6/13) that my cardigan ,which was suppose to be shipped on November 11, just now left the warehouse. From now on, I will shop only at the store since their online services seem to be lacking. read more
