My Body design experience was more than I can ask for in a course. I took the two week live class. I can tell you it was fun and educational and so hands on. Doug and Corey are excellent teachers, any question that you have, they can answer it on spot. The care and outstanding energy that they have for their students to reach their full potential of becoming a personal trainer is amazing. They both keep the class very interesting and exciting, just their knowledge on the personal training industry is amazing, literally when you sign up for this class, "pick their brains", they know pretty much everything. I came in the class so unsure if I was going to get anything out of it, which that change suddenly on that first day and has been such an eye opener ever since, if I can take the course all over for the experience again then I would. It was also fun to go over different stories and scenarios throughout the class to get more insight and details to help you understand the material, they are not afraid to call you out to make sure you got the information. Coming into this course you grasp so much information in a day, your head will be literally processing the material for the rest of the evening. They go over everything you need to know about being a personal trainer, nutrition, even running your own business, and more deep and dept things you need to know. Online portion was very helpful prior to the live class, because when I was reading the book, I couldn't quite retain the information, was struggling with some the word meanings, but listening to the audio of them going over the book and words was very helpful, they give you multiple of examples and strategies. They even have study tool, quizlet to help you with the course, which is very helpful as well, but make sure you read, read, read. I recommend you take the live course, because after you get to do a fun internship, which was amazing. You get see how a personal training facility is ran, also learn the process of how to work with clients to get to their fitness goals. Lastly, you meet amazing people that you can reach out to if you need any help, even your classmates. I highly recommend this course to anybody who wants to be a personal trainer. Ever since this class it made it a lot easier to plan out how I want to run my business, and that I'll be running it the right way. Before this I thought it was an easy-going thing, to find out it wasn't going to be as organized as thought. The program is amazing! I started the program with a decent amount of knowledge as someone who is a fitness and health buff to begin. I take fanatical care of myself due serious to health issues from my military service that wrecked my body and forced me on a journey back to heath. The classwork greatly expanded my knowledge of fitness and health, and gave me the physiological underpinnings of exercise and diet. The course is also helping me focus on building a brand and identity markets to help people also take the same journey I did, which is my mission after I retire from a successful career as a systems engineer and Air Force officer. I have been absolutely obsessed with the human body since a child on my swim team. I've always been the healthy guy of the group. My passion for knowledge has only grown with time. So much so that I began my own holistic health blog after becoming incredibly ill with black mold and then healing myself through food. It is absolutely amazing what the human body is capable of.....when the right tools and information are used. As Hippocrates said, "let food be thy medicine". It's true. But it only works if you know how to do it properly. That's where Corey and Doug came in. I feel as though I hit a stalemate. I had done all of the personal trial and internet learning one could obsessively do. I'm 20 years into weight training and 5 into holistic healing. Without Body Design University, I never would have been prepared for the NASM exam, nor would I have had the confidence to train people in person that I have today. Before BDU, I would stare at my NASM textbook and felt overwhelmed and lost as to where to start. I'd been contemplating becoming a personal trainer for a long while, since I grew up playing sports and constantly doing some type of fitness/strength training. One day I had a little free time and decided to google "personal trainer certification" just to see what it required and how much costs would be. I came across the BDU site and inquired through e-mail.. received a call the same day and was provided all the information I was curious about. I gave it a lot of thought, but being indecisive, I began to ignore their calls and then put it off for over a year. A few months ago I received a call from one of the BDU staff members (Todd), letting me know about a limited time promotion they had going on. The numbers sounded too good, so I couldn't pass it up this time.. which I'm glad I didn't. Shoutout to Todd for talking me into it and being very personable, informative and non pushy. The course itself was life changing! Doug and Corey are one of a kind in the personal training education field. I don't think the structure of the course or the way the information was presented could've been any better. They definitely know their stuff and also keep it pretty interactive so you don't feel like you're sitting through a long lecture all day. My experience learning through Body Design University was fantastic. My passion has been fitness for sometime now and i always wanted to help people so taking the necessary steps to become a qualified personal trainer was a no brainer. As a person who has always aspired to be a personal trainer and help people get into the best shape of their lives this course help me with all aspects of personal training. From the anatomy, exercises, business, dos and don't. The content was very thorough and detailed Corey and Doug made it easy to follow and relate to. The payment options were very reasonable and for those who couldn't pay in full the payment plans were very fair. Some aspects where difficult with the course because not knowing that personal training involved everything that was covered. So much marketing and advertising and business side I had no idea. But other things like nutrition and learning about the muscles were very interesting and fun to learn about. After completing the course my confidence has rised and my knowledge has increased. My educational experience with Body Design University has been wonderful. Doug Blake and the team at BDU have been incredibly communicative and supportive! I am currently changing careers, from school teacher to trainer. I had been thinking about getting my PTC for a few years. I have considered myself an athlete my entire life, someone who is well aware and experienced in the health and wellness industry. I officially accomplished the first step of my journey--I passed my BDU final exam, and I couldn't be happier! I worked incredibly hard for this. I woke up as early as 4:00-5:00 a.m. to study, and many nights I stayed up late putting in the time and effort. It definitely wasn't easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. Every sacrifice was absolutely worth it. I had an amazing experience throughout the program. The staff were friendly, professional, supportive, and always willing to help whenever I had questions. One thing I especially loved was their learning platform. They use Quizlet, which was a huge plus for me because I've used it for years to study, and it's an excellent tool for preparing for exams. They also provide videos that you can watch anytime, making it easy to review the material at your own pace. The program covers so much more than just passing an exam. Every professional athlete knows that in order to build your strongest body you must also build your strongest mind. This core foundation is what I gained most during my Personal Training Certification course at Body Design University. Prior to Body Design University I built up my marketing agency in the health and fitness industry, but knew I needed to further my education in order to set my clients up for success. I've never been more proud to say I graduated from a program, Doug and Blake (the instructors) are more than kind and thoughtful, I came into this pretty young thinking I might be talked down to, or treated different because of my experience compared to everyone else in my class, but that was NOT the case - both instructors and classmates where more than friendly and helpful, during the in person course, I was never overwhelmed. I was able to ask every question I wanted to or about anything I didn't understand and they always gave me full clarity. I never had the question if anything I said or asked was irrelevant or "stupid " they made BDU a family, a home, and a team of people Working towards the same goal and helping each other I couldn't say enough good things about BDU. Just finished the 2 week live and it was definitely worth the time and financial investment and commitment. A huge thanks to BDU and all the staff that worked really hard to make these past two weeks an amazing experience. Not only did we receive excellent teachers and tools to help us succeed immediately for those who already have client a base, but BDU also provided additional resources if we decide to grow in our business adventures. Transportation was provided from and to the airport as well as daily pickup and dropoff throughout the entire two weeks to make sure we were able to attend the training and internship which was a huge help, and the payment options definitely made it reasonably affordable for anyone unable to make an immediate financial investment. Doug and Corey were amazing! They were professional,  knowledgable, and extremely passionate about making sure we had the tools needed to be successful, fruitful in business, and to pass the exam. I attended Body Design University's summer 6-day class session, and all I can say is WOW! I walked into the building and started speaking to people, I realized my classmates drove and flew from all over the country to be in this class; from that moment on, I knew what I was going to learn would blow my mind. Corey and Doug went above and beyond delivering on their promises of teaching us invaluable information to be successful in the field of personal training. I was one of the few students, who wasn't entirely new to the business but before taking this course, I knew I wasn't where I wanted to be financially or where I could be in terms of success. I loved the online course because not only go into the basic biomechanics and nutrition aspects of fitness, but also the key components of becoming a successful business owner. This is not something you can just learn in a text book. They also offer additional training, services and an operating system if this is something you are interested in. I did not have the added pressure to get done at a certain time or have to neglect responsibility of being a good father or not being at the hospital when I was needed because I had course work to do. It's hard to put into words a description of my Body Design University (BDU) experience because it so exceeded my expectations. The BDU personal trainer certification program covered such a wide range of material that is essential to being responsible for shaping people's bodies and lives that a paragraph or two I'm not sure will do it justice.
