It has been a rough 5 years for me. Ever since I was attacked in Golden Gate Park by a homeless drug addict...I have not been able to walk, drive, sleep, lift groceries, and do many of the things that we have taken for granted on a daily basis. I have been to hell and back. Workers comp refused to pay for any medical treatment and was willing to leave me permanently disabled. "Not medically necessary" is their favorite excuse. I refuse to accept that. Got myself on Medi-Cal & Medicare and started patching myself back together like humpty dumpty. I got myself a hand therapist for my hand tremors and a physical therapist for the rest. They tried their best and figured out that this was above their professional skill level. It was isolated down to the radius and ulnar nerve in the right arm and something was causing it to fire causing uncontrollable tremors in the arm and hand along with pain. My therapists suggested I find a chiropractor, but one who will adjust the first rib because they think it was broken and healed back wrong. I saw a few chiros and none of them cared when I stated that to them. Dr. J was different. Being an athletically built guy himself...he understood the nature of my injuries from my law enforcement work. I did not expect it to be fixed after just one visit, but it happened like that. Dr. J warned me that I may be sore afterward.....that was an understatement!!! Being out of place for 5 years.... hurts like #$%#.  I am amazed!! Dr. J gave me a list of areas on my back and arm and neck region for my Hand therapist and Physical Therapist to work on...and it turns out they were already working that region out for me. So once again Dr. J was spot on with the diagnosis!  I am so glad I found him! If you are in as much pain as I was- please don't hesitate to contact him so he can help you. I've been a patient of Dr. Julian Ovtcharov for over a year. He's in my top two chiropractors I've ever been to, and I've been seeing chiropractors for over 10 years on a very regular basis. Not only is he trained in manipulating your bones, but also soft tissue work. Both of those together are a dreamy combination for bodywork. He has the latest gadgets including a drop table, Graston tools for soft tissue, and a buzzing massage ball thing that's amazing. Today, I finally decided to write a well-deserved review after he helped me with an acute fiery pain in my ankle. My doctors at Kaiser just told me to rest it, ice it, etc. However, after two weeks of still being in pain, Dr. Julian was able to diagnose that it was a nerve issue and with a few pulls here and pushes there, the pain was gone. I was having pretty bad pain in my hands for a couple of weeks. I thought it was from my attempts at playing violin and was discussing it at the winery where I work part time. Turns out, one of the wine club members is a chiropractor. He told me about some possible issues and gave me his card. I'd never been to a chiropractor before and wasn't sure what to expect, but I decided to give it a try, as sometimes the pain was more than I could handle. I had some issue with my left shoulder and some numbing on my finger. My coach Nico from Max muscle referred me to DOC, at first I was skeptical cuz all the chiropractor that I have met either cracks my neck and call it a day ... Boy I was wrong Doc was in constant communication with me from the day of my appt and even checked up on me a few hours after he fixed me up. I have been going to Dr. Julian for about 6 years. Every year and a half to two years, I will get out of adjustment and have bad back or shoulder pain. He is able to see what is wrong and make an adjustment and work on the knotted up muscles. In a couple of days after, I feel good as new again. He really knows anatomy and what causes things to cause pain. He also is good about showing me different kinds of stretches to help keep the pain down as I am recovering.
