They have candles in a variety of themes for owl lovers, mushroom lovers, yoga enthusiasts, etc. While some may find the prices a little steep (I overheard a guy trying to convince his girlfriend to just buy candles in the dollar store because it's so much cheaper), the prices are not terribly unreasonable. Expect to pay a slight premium due to the touristic location but also no shipping and a unique experience.

The shop itself is just gorgeously decorated and is like stepping back in time into an apothecary: bottles, vintage wall art, and a green velour chair in the corner for the tired shopper. The proprietor of the shop, Leila Hazou, was so welcoming and when I couldn't find an "Athena" rollerball, she offered to make one for me!! I also ended up purchasing the migraine rollerball that will offer natural relief for those days wrecked by my headaches. My friend couldn't leave the store without purchasing one of Leila's candles. The store hours are Thursdays through Mondays, 11am- 5pm. Leila also has an online store and occasionally offers an in person candle making class, which I look forward to taking in the future.

If you're going to follow customers around the store, the very least you can do is acknowledge them and offer assistance. We came in as potential customers, but the complete lack of basic customer service made me lose any interest in buying something. I don't understand how a retail store expects to make sales when customers are treated like an inconvenience--or worse, like they need to be watched instead of helped. Management seriously needs to address this employee's customer-service skills. Based on our experience, she was not doing her job effectively at all. I definitely would not return after being treated this way.
