I was expecting it to be a little bit more relaxing, however, the machine made a grinding sound the whole 30 minute session. While that was not all that relaxing, there was a tv display that was pretty relaxing. The video displayed various natural images such as the ocean, flowers blooming, etc. As far as the benefits of the salt chamber go, I found it to be cleansing. I didn't think I was congested at all, but after being in the chamber my nose was runny. My friend especially, said that it cleared her sinuses. Would probably be a good thing to do if you are sick in the winter time. My friend also did a massage and said, "that was the best massage of my life." We occasionally visit these walk-in type massage joints just because of our crazy schedules and generally have good experiences. The massages we got here were great - I wished I could stay longer than the hour! The atmosphere was fairly typical for this kind of "spa". Nothing fancy, curtains around the tables, etc. Giving it a 4 because real walls around the front desk would help - the guy leaving during our massage was a chatter box and we could hear his every word. Overall great though and we will be back!
