This is in my opinion but they are the best. Gave me a break when no other bail agency would have me. Put everything upfront and gave me no BS on what i was expecting. I didnt like it but they helped me get through the process and even gave me a few referrals to lawyers. I was happy that Bodyguard bail bonds was there. My husband was arrested for domestic violence on a $50,000.00 bail bond and detained at Santa Rita Jail. The same night he was released. I found out a bail agent supposedly got him out based on a verbal agreement that my husband will come up with the $700.00 that the bail agent had asked for as down payment on a $3,500.00 bail bond premium. When my husband was unable to produce the money the next day, the bail agent was upset. Told my husband that he should not pick up the towed van since he still owes the $700.00 down payment. My husband and I went to the Dublin Police station to pay the Request for Vehicle Release fee. The bail agent also arrived at the police station and attempted to stop the release. The police officer explained to the bail agent it is not in their position to hold the vehicle unless the bail agent has a hold order from the court. The bail agent threatened to file criminal charges for defraud and told the police officer that he would include the Dublin Police in the complaint. Upon leaving the police station, the bail agent told my husband that my husband is now in his custody and threatened to bring my husband back to Santa Rita Jail. The bail agent asked my husband to go with him. My husband felt that he did not have a choice but to go along with whatever the bail agent had asked him to. My husband was so afraid of what the bail agent might do since he kept threatening to bring my husband back to jail. Inside the bail agent's car, the bail agent made my husband sign a Promissory Note for the $3,500.00 bail amount premium he previously told my husband while in detention would be the amount he would owe to release him out. The bail agent drove with my husband. I followed suit. The bail agent, with my husband ended up driving at the parking lot of Santa Rita Jail. They both got out of the car. I told the bail agent to go ahead and bring my husband back to detention but I will not pay him the $700.00 he kept asking for. The bail agent wanted to negotiate. He stated that I was making the matter worst by not cooperating to pay the $700.00. The bail agent questioned why I was there for. The bail agent called me names and said that I was very stupid for not knowing the law. I threatened to call the police for assistance at that time. The bail agent said that he was the police. The bail agent kept threatening that if the $700.00 is not paid that he would bring my husband back to jail. The bail agent drove away with my husband. I felt helpless and decided to drive back home. While at home, my husband made several calls and text messages. I tried explaining to my husband that what the bail agent was doing was improper. The bail agent and my husband drove around Dublin and Pleasanton areas. My husband sent text messages on my cellphone begging me to comply with the bail agent's demand. I flatly said no, I did not have the money. My husband finally got a-hold of a couple of friends. One loaned him $300.00 and the other $400.00. Once the bail agent received the full $700.00 was the only time the bail agent released my husband out of his car. My husband came home with one of the friends that loaned him the $400.00. read more

When Steve promised to get my husband released each time he found himself incarcerated - Steve was ALWAYS better than his word - faster and never without that trail of communication. Resolution: Bodyguard Bail Bonds is the ultimate in integrity and know how. All procedures were completely advised in advance and handled professionally - all paperwork clear and appropriate. EVERY SINGLE TIME I needed help from Steve, he was there - and he acted quickly and professionally as he went immediately into action. Time Passes: Until only recently, it has been, happily, a longish while since we have needed their services. Nevertheless, when Steve received a call from my husband this past weekend (who sadly encountered a setback) in the middle of the night, Steve donned his cape and flew to our aid. Finally: Of course, we hope and plan never to need Steve's services ever again, but life being life, I can only say that we trust him with our souls...and our bodies as well.
