Terrible customer service. I purchased the 79.99 plan, $6 glasses, and $50 lotion. The goggle's string was frayed so bad so I couldn't tie them. I used the goggles to tan went to turn off the machine and they fell off behind the machine. I went out and spoke to Isabella and she took one look and said she saw them but couldn't reach them. I went to try and it is absolutely filthy behind and towards the top part of the machine. Hasn't been cleaning in MONTHS. Isabella then told me "when the maintenance person comes they'll hold them for me. 1. It's extremely obvious it hasn't been maintained in months. 2. She saw them but refused to replace them stating "I can't just give you free goggles" 3. I just spent $151 to start my monthly plan at your store and you can't just replace my now dirty goggle stuck behind the machine?! 4. Not only all of that but Isabella was extremely rude towards me, looked for 3 seconds and didn't try to reach for them. Terrible customer service. I was planning to come for the next 6 months. If I could give zero stars I would. They lie. They hire people who are not properly trained. They put you in tanning beds that have 2 or more bulbs missing, Customer service is very rude. They do not care about you. Find another tanning place cause Body Heat tanning sucks. Old Beds. Old Bulbs. They only care about $$$$. read more

I am disgusted with this company. I'm from Reno NV- I came into town for my brothers baby shower. I decided to purchase their extreme and spray deal for $55 they had online at the Henderson location so I could get color before the shower. I was going to bed tan then spray later that night. I went in, he took my payment, then told me everything expires that day, put me in an extreme bed for the max time 10 min, and I came out burnt and red as a lobster. I was in so much physical pain I was unable to do the spray I paid for AND I didn't make it to the baby shower the next day which I was devastated about but as I had blisters and my skin was on fire it was to painful to move!!. I've contacted corporate multiple times with emails and calls and there has been no response after 2 weeks, I had one conversation with a female on the phone that stated " the bed you went into is known for and had an extremely high burn rate, call corporate" This place took my money and has HORRIBLE customer service. I am still waiting for a call, and two weeks later I'm still burnt and am now peeling ALL OVER MY BODY. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Ok? So? I just moved to this area in Henderson, was looking for a tanning salon that was close by. Went in to get a spray tan and check out the membership process. I chose to do the UNLIMITED SPRAY TANNING, and the red light therapy bed. Almost $100 a month. No contract. Asking the girl questions seemed a little rough, she seemed a bit uneducated about what it was they offered. I have a teenager, not a big deal, we worked through it. I chose the medium clear spray which develops overnight, and went on my way. I thought it was odd and pretty gross that foot covers were not offered. For sanitation reasons, and also the tanner saturating the bottom of your feet so you get a nice dark orange brown color stained to the bottom of your feet. I figured it was my fault for not asking. Silly me! Second time going in, I decided medium didn't seem dark enough and wanted to do a dark spray. Asked for the dark, was told it's $4 more because the shade is not included in my package. Confused... I said I have the unlimited spray tans. The girl continued to explain to me that I asked for the medium last time and that the 19 is not included in what I bought. 19? I said to her I am not sure what 19 is and not understanding this concept. No place I've ever gone to has ever charged me EXTRA depending on what shade I'd like. It's UNLIMITED spray tans. So, she continues to repeat herself... she then calls the manager because she doesn't understand really what she's trying to explain to me herself. Gets off the phone, confirms the price is $4 more each tan or $20 more each month when I'm paying almost $100 anyway. Tells me that she doesn't know what membership I was suppose to have. Again, confused. I wasn't told there were didn't prices for different shades. No tanning place I've been to in 15 years has ever said $4 please for a darker shade in your UNLIMITED package. LOL. Then I'm told it will be a dollar since it's Memorial Day weekend. Huh? I said I'll give you the dollar, give me the dark, and tell your manager to cancel my membership. I'm told I need to email corporate and 30 days in advance. Fantastic. When every review on here says corporate is unreachable! Two thumbs up. I just wanted to tan and get the hell out of there. I asked for some foot covers or those little flip flop deals, and was told no they don't offer them. Ok... weird. Like I said not my first time in a tanning salon. Went to the room where I'm going to spray. Took a look around and realized the place is filthy. No towels. You get to wipe with paper towels that are like sand paper. Bare minimum here. Surprised I got a cheap shower cap that barely covered any of my hair. Walls were filthy. Got out of the spray bed, given one minute to wipe off my tan saturated feet before I was drenched by the water running in the bed to rinse it. (New spray tan, splattered.) It even got my purse that was on the chair. I felt bad for the girls up front because it seems they don't know what bad business is and they are just the messengers but, tis life. WATCH OUT! DECEPTIVE! CASH GRAB! They charge about $100/month to begin with. On their "no commitment month to month" plan, they require auto-pay and require you to have a checking account or credit card set up with them for that auto-pay. They don't allow you to set it up without auto-renewal. They also require a 30-day notice prior to cancellation. That means the moment you buy 1 month on their no-commitment plan, you are required to pay for 2 months. Plus you have to take your time to call in to their phone number to get it canceled; you can't just tell them at the tanning location to cancel it. read more

Bodyheat tanning on College Avenue leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is somewhat friendly, and check-in is usually pretty quick...but that's all this location has going for it. They have a severely limited selection of beds, and the beds that they do have are old, dented, broken and barely functioning. The bulbs are always old. And the rooms, floors and bathroom are FILTHY. I should have snapped some photos! The owners should be ashamed! Do yourself a favor and visit the clean, modern, up-to-date locations on Valle Verde or Eastern where the staff is always smiling and the tanning experience is always excellent...and clean! read more

The staff was very helpful in explaining the beds, detailing wax ch of the packages and what was included, going into detail on the different lotions, and hElping me decide the right timing for beat exposure. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! It's impossible to stop it!!!! They literally lie and omit information on ending your contract. I called the corporate office last month and was told be a gentleman working in customer service that he'd freeze my account so that no more charges would come out until I gave permission. I asked that the pending transaction be removed, to which he said, "let me look into that and return your call tomorrow." I made sure to ask again, before hanging up, "so you HAVE PUT A FREEZE ON THE ACCOUNT, right?" He said, "yes. Absolutely." And of course, never returned the call the following day. Fast forward another month and I get a notification that they've withdrawn AGAIN! I call customer service,AGAIN, the lady was rude and just kept repeating the same thing..., "well we don't have a record of anyone putting a freeze and will continue to draw from your account until you have completed the cancellation process which has to be done 30 days prior to your next billing day." She essentially said... I don't believe you called and I don't care if you did, you are not getting a refund and we will continue to bill you every month. I asked for a manager, she stated she was a manager and refused to get anyone else for me to talk to. So THEY screwed up and I end up paying another $100 for services I haven't used in almost 3 months!!!!! If I could give ZERO STARS, I would!!!!!!!!! Absolutely horrible!!!! When I went in for the first time the customer service was great. The tanning beds are dirty & the rooms are very dusty. When I went in again, it was a different person and she was very rude. I went into a different room and it was very dirty again. I'm not sure that the manager has control of what is going on. They need a serious deep cleaning of their salon. The second employee made me feel like I was an inconvenience and like she was above me. They have definitely lost my business forever. read more

Prompt and friendly customer service. Easy and quick sign up process. The facility is clean with plenty of beds open and no long wait.

I came in for a quick spray tan and a gentleman was signing up as a new member. I patiently waited while Georgianne walked him through every type of bed, spray booth and lotion. He opted for the dark-in-a-day which starts with a traditional tan followed by a spray tan. Once he entered his traditional tanning bed, I was next at the front desk and asked to do a spray tan (a process which takes about 45 seconds plus getting dressed). Georgianne let me know that I would have to wait for the other customer to start and finish his traditional tan and then move on to the spray booth, then the booth would need to be cleaned before I would be able to get my spray. She let me know that I would need to wait about 15 mins. Please keep in mind while this gentleman was doing his ten min tan, no one would be occupying the spray booth. I let Georgianne know that had she addressed me while setting him up, I would have been done before he even needed the spray booth. She stated their computer systems cannot handle such a request. I have been tanning at Body Heat for about three years at the 215/Eastern location and they have always been able to multitask and address customers in a way that makes business sense, quickly moving to each customer as needed to address everyone. I do not believe that the issue was a computer system issue and likely more a Georgianne issue. read more

Horrible customer service, not he location but the corporate office. I emailed to cancel my membership as they only let you cancel by email. It's 10 days since my first email (I've sent 3) and have not received a response. I called corporate they won't help, stating that they cannot help me and I should receive an email soon (really? It takes that long to respond to an email?). Also, I find it rediculous that everytime I asked her a direct question we would get "disconnected." Bodyheat Tanning Salons has always been such a reliable place to go get my tans. I am already naturally tan, but sometimes it looks uneven and I get darker in certain spots. Because of this I go get light sprays and it is the perfect shade! It makes my naturally tan skin look even all over and gives me a sun kissed glow. It's so fast and convenient. Went in to get a membership and the lady explained that it's a month to month payment till you cancel it. I only wanted this membership for a month due to an event I was attending. She suggested that I could just pay for 1 month and that same day she assisted me to email the corporate company to cancel my membership for the following month. Got charged for another month. Nobody told me the policy was that you had to basically pay at least 2 months before you can cancel your membership. Not sure why a tanning company wouldn't offer just a one month membership without paying money for 2 months. Also, emailed the corporate office because when I called nobody could give me a direct answer other than just emailing the corporate office. They didn't email me back for over 2 weeks. Ended up paying 70$ for a tanning membership that I used for less than a month. Disappointed in spending my money on this place. read more
