You fill out a brief questionnaire and get a choice of scents to choose from. For long hair (mine goes to my back bra strap) is extra. There is also a couple of extra items you can add on to. After the questionnaire, I was taken to a seat at a chair that is located in the main area. The hair dresser took pictures of my scalp and then gave me recommendation to add additional items if you wish. (they use Kerastase products) She brushed my hair and gave me a very nice scalp and neck/shoulder massage. I just wished it would have been in the back room where there was less noise. Then we went in the back room and I laid on this super comfy massage table (the massage table massages your entire body), under eye mask was placed and an eye mask over my eyes and a soft comfy blanket was placed on me. HEAVEN. She put all these treatments on my scalp and hair and I got a scalp and neck massage. Then we proceed to the main area where she blow dry my hair. I specified my hair type and request to try a hair product I saw that they sell for sensitive/allergenic skin and hair along with a consultation for additional services. The service I received was terrible. The student stylist was very sweet but lacked confidence and had to clear everything she wanted to do through the floor leader who that day was Margaret. This leader was not very customer friendly and didn't want to hear one thing I said about my hair. She was determined to undermine me, her student stylist and not allow any suggestions or creativity input other than her own. The product she decided to apply on my hair completely ruined my hair! Then the stylist tried to make it look like I knew her personally and paid for my services when she should have been honest to management and told them what really happened. I thought she was trying to cover the problem. I made sure management would reimburse her. The salon was a full house of clients, and honestly not a very comfortable or enjoyable place. I was overwhelmed and really thought it would have been completely opposite. After 4 hours I left disappointed, upset and furious with what to do about my hair they ruined. Upper management contacted me a few hours after I left to apologize and offered me the opportunity to return to make it up to me.
