I discovered Bodyography in 2018 when I had a problem with my right shoulder locking up. With Margaret's use of deep tissue massage, myofascial release therapy, and cupping that problem was resolved. I then decided to incorporate a monthly massage into my health care routine. In 2025, Margaret moved away and I had to choose another therapist. Everyone there is great but, I choose Kate Mulligan because of her scheduled hours, and I feel like I won the lottery. She is such a Zen person. She has a positive energy, and her messages are so relaxing that I have fallen asleep during a massage. When she finds a tight spot, she works it out until it is loose. I'm very happy to share a review of Bodyography! I've been dying to get a massage - literally told my masseuse, Michelle, that I was in DIRE NEED of a massage. I sit all day for work and my back has been all sorts of messed up. I had actually never heard of Bodyography until my mom got me a gift card for Christmas, she found the center on Yelp. Booking was simple on their website, you just choose your service and it shows you by day which times are available. Enter your info and voila! I chose a 90 minute massage which might sound excessive but I'm so glad I went with the 90 minute and not 30 or 60. Michelle did an amazing job on a full body massage, with extra attention to my aching back. She was very good about checking in with me to make sure that the pressure was ok. And she gave a fantastic food massage with peppermint lemon lotion too! They use coconut oil which is great for the skin. OK, I have to admit that I have gone to Bodyography for a number of years now. The place just moved to a new location in Melrose and it is incredible. The office is nice, clean, and the place just has a relaxing atmosphere. Emily is the owner and a licensed massage therapist. She clearly wants to help improve your health whether it is to reduce daily stress or focus on a problem area. This is real therapy folks. She will spend time understanding your health issues and if you are having problems with a particular area. I would say she is part magician and part healer. I have had problems with my neck and shoulders and also lower back. She clearly knows how to focus in on problem areas. I went in one Saturday and had a lot of back pain and was hunched over - when I left the pain was gone and replaced with a kind of light/warm feeling form the work she did. This place deserves more stars! Been feeling stressed out lately and at the advice of my doctor, I tried a massage. I have never had one before and wanted to try someplace local. I found this place on Yelp and it had a good rating..I now know why! Ann was very professional and nice and answered all of my premassage questions. It's been years since my last massage. An accountant by day, seamstress by night, I do a lot of sitting, especially during the busy prom and tax seasons! I recently felt the need for some relief of tension in my lower neck and upper back area. I was actually really nervous because it was my first massage and I didn't know what to expect. I read Mandy's bio on the website and her treatment philosophy matched what I was seeking. It was a great experience, the bed is heated, tonal music, etc. I don't know what they teach massage therapists in their training but average folks just don't compare. She seemed like she enjoys her job which was nice. My profession (counseling) may be effective for addiction treatment, but for stress relief massage is much more therapeutic. I really enjoyed it. And I left feeling great too. I plan to go back as part of my self care. My goals include general wellness and health and peace of mind, and I started resistance training 6 weeks ago so this should be good for that too. read more

I had reflexology with Shannon. She is a gifted practitioner and if you don't know what reflexology is, then please check it out. I find it more relaxing than a massage ( although I really do love massage too) but reflexology is different, it has a kind of quiet to it, at least for me.
