I'm so happy I found Ellie Pickering for Acupuncture! I've seen her for 3 visits so far and each visit leaves me feeling better. I was told to be careful, she will push expensive herbs and other exotic alternative medicine. That could not be further from the truth. She did a careful analysis of my health and other issues. She listens thoughtfully and provides her thoughts. As Pat M said, Ellie is a very kind, compassionate and warm caring individual. It's hard to describe, but my body feels so much better, very chill and calm. I emailed 3 practitioners and she was the only one to respond. I found another in China Town, but his hours did not work for me. Yes some of the insertions are not necessarily ticklish, but it quickly subsides. Ellie is by far the best acupuncturist I have visited. She takes the time to make sure she is doing everything possible for her patients' well-being. Her personality is incredibly calming and that peaceful energy channels into her treatments as well. She is also very gentle, at times I didn't even notice that she was inserting needles, I think this also stems from the fact that she is easy to talk to and will keep a conversation going to distract from any potential discomfort. I have gone to Ellie for acupuncture for back pain, hormone balancing, fatigue, allergies and sinus issues. Recently I tried the facial rejuvenation and am extremely pleased with the results. I love the results! I noticed my skin tone evened out and is radiant. The fine lines all over my face receded. I am so pleased to not even have to wear foundation and that's a big deal for me as a 55 year old female with some sagging skin in the lower cheeks and crease lines on my forehead, between my eyebrows and around my mouth. All of those seem softer and smoother. I feel as though I've had had a cosmetic procedure. The facial, head and neck massage were wonderful. The additional bonus to this type of facial treatment compared to micro-dermabrasion or other cosmetic treatments is the deep relaxation and revitalization of my energy. The day I went I had sinus pressure and pain. After the facial rejuvenation, the sinus pressure and pain subsided and the next day it was completely gone. My overall energy felt 100% better as well.
