It turned out that when my wife called on Monday (4/28) to book an appointment for Thursday (5/1), they put her down for Thursday 4/3 instead. Even after discovering this mistake, the receptionist still insinuated that we failed to show up to the 4/3 appointment (it would have been barely 2 weeks post-partum and there was absolutely no way we could have scheduled that appointment; we called on 4/28 and didn't even get our referral until Friday 4/25). She eventually chalked it up to a "communication" error. How can them putting the wrong date, 3 weeks in the past, down being a communication error?! I understand that mistakes happens. But not once throughout this interaction did we receive an apology and instead left feeling like we did something wrong. We have had pretty much perfect experience with the AdventHealth network in the past, so we do hope that this was a once-off oversight.

Since leaving Craig Hospital on Oct 10, 2017 after a month of very intense rehab after surgery for…read morean incomplete spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the chest down, I've been working with Jamie Grigsby & Pamela Gatewood almost weekly (more than 120 appointments) at Fit PT in Westminster. When I started at Fit in November 2017, I was relegated to a wheelchair and barely able to move my feet. One month later, I was standing with blocked knees; and three months after that, I was taking my first steps with a walker. Since then I use a walker for many transfers and functional walking at home. Jump ahead to today when I took 4 unsupported steps forward with each foot covering 2-3 feet in distance. Baby steps for sure with plenty of room for further progress but I wouldn't have come this far without their coordinated rehab program to rebuild my leg & core strength that had atrophied post-surgery and retrain my body to walk. 5-stars doesn't begin to reward the value Fit PT has given me.

This franchise will not let patients contact the billing department by phone to resolve issues quickly, and answers to my emailed questions never included a name or contact details until I threatened to complain to the Colorado Division of Insurance about their failure to resolve an insurance claim within 60 days, as required. I discovered this office contracts with an intermediary (known as American Specialty Health - ASH) that slows payment between the insurer and their office ---- sticking it to the patient by collecting way too much up front. If your insurer uses ASH --- look up the bad reviews of this outfit -- find another physical therapy provider. This one is for you and yours Matt.
