The most serious issue involved an admitted oversight related to projected tax liability for 2026 (something I didn't ask for), which has caused hours dealing with the IRS and a moderate amount of stress. Rather than taking meaningful accountability for communication failures and oversight, the focus was placed on defending the return's technical accuracy and justifying the fee. The small "goodwill adjustment" offered felt dismissive given the amount of time and frustration involved. Accuracy is expected from a paid tax professional.
