Was able to get info on resole of lace-up work boots in some quick texting with shop owner. They didn't do rubber soles but found someone who would. Price only slightly less than a new pair but didn't want the hassle of chasing down the correct size/fit when these had already been broken in. read more

I cannot say enough good about these folks. They have repaired my boots in the past and have always done excellent and fast work. And they do not charge enough for their services. But get this!--My son is a new second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. During a training event in Quantico, he damaged one of his Danner Marine boots. Danner offered him a refund, but the boots were broken in so he didn't want a brand new pair. Instead, he took them to Boerne Boot and Hide while he was home for Christmas to see if they could be repaired. Not only did they repair the boots within a couple of hours, they absolutely refused to charge him. Wow--what a company! Thank you all and thanks for supporting our military. I brought a pair of boots in to have sole covers attached to them. I received my boots back in a few days which was great. But the covers weren't cut to fit; there was excess cover hanging over the edge. After wearing the boots twice during dry weather the cover started to peel off the toe. I asked for black covers; the covers are tan. read more

The ladies at Boot and Hide are OUTSTANDING! They not only do excellent work, but are very prompt with getting my boots and shoes back to me. Plus, they are always so courteous and friendly. I've had them stretch my leather boots, stitch up seams that opened up on shoes, and glue many of my favorite shoes back together when the glue on the soles gave out. With the years, by boots had to be re-soled and re-heeled, as well as stretched to fit my calf's... the gals worked with them and left them like new! I took my fry boots and they added zippers on the side to provide easy fitting. They stretched my Short dress boots... I am sooo happy with their work that I had to write this recommendation. So my shoes need some fixing and one of them already went to a store in San Antonio, but as I remembered that the guy there said it takes in general a week or three, I wanted to try a new place, and this here is the new place. At one of my shoes the sole came lose and when I dropped it off they asked if I want to leave the other one as well, the one that was fixed before, so they could polish them. I picked them up today and they look great, the one they didn't work on also looked better than before and the one they worked on looks like new. I will see how good it is over time as the job from the other store wasn't that great. I must say I bought some leather items at this store as well some time ago and they are great as well. SO if you need some leader repair, or some leather work, you should check them out, and the drive to Boerne is worth it. read more

Read all the good reviews and decided to try them . Not sure what happened... they kept my boots three weeks .. I called once after they said they would be ready and they couldn't find them. The lady said she would call me that day when she found them.... no call One week later they called and said they were ready. I went to pick them up and inspected them and found they did not stitch them at all which is what they were in there for a long with heels. I had to come back later that day and pick them up . These ladies are the best. I am very rough on my shoes and they always manage to get them looking great again. I've been bringing my shoes and bags to them for a few years now and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From my experience it is never more than a week or o wait time and I think that that is an extremely quick turn around, especially considering some of the shoes I brought in were in pretty bad shape. This little shoe repair shop is a hidden gem in Boerne! I have used other shoe repair shops in San Antonio and they take FOREVER to do minor work, i.e. replacing tips on my heels. I dropped my shoes off on a Saturday morning---they told me they would have them ready in a week, which I would have been perfectly happy with.
