So i thought it just needed some heels but after he checked it out he explained what was wrong and gave me options. I went with his choice and had a complete resole and heels. He also polished it and and reinforced the heel back part (don't know what it's called) It took a little a longer than i thought it would but everytime i called he explained the situation and told when they would be ready. Also had a vintage Loewe purse cleaned (it had a black stain on the corner) and reconditioned done at the same time. The gentlemen here (Kyle & Dustin) were so friendly and helpful. They quoted me very reasonable pricing that would've been just the price of shipping for Tumi alone (and that's without the labor and cost of a zipper). Knowing how to work on quality pieces and knowledge of different leathers is definitely a dying art. The cobblers here are knowledgeable and quick. I had everything back in a week! Between myself and my daughter, we had 4 pairs of leather boots that needed repairs; now that they are serviceable again we should get several more years use from them. One pair of boots I've had since my grown children were preschoolers, just needed the heel sole replaced. Though I've used YT to repair the faux stacked-heel-look wrapped around the boot heel, I wasn't prepared to attempt the sole; getting the correct thickness and having the tools to smooth the cut sides of the replacement sole seemed like more that I wanted to take on at present. I'm happy to finally have a place to keep my boots in good repair. Make sure to call before going to pick up your repair to confirm that it is ready.
