Jennifer is so lovely to work with. Over the past 2 months, she transformed my wedding gown into the most flattering dress I've ever worn. She also helped me decide how to wear a shrug so that it wouldn't distract from everything going on with the gown. The total cost was $600, which included shortening many many layers and a french bustle. A few buttons came loose and she repaired those but didn't charge me for it. She also threw in chocolate and I will have to post pictures later. Overall, I'm happy because I feel pretty in this dress. read more

I came here two weeks ago because I had bought a new dress but I didn't like that it had a slit. I wanted to be more modest and I came in requesting if it was possible to just close it all. The owner so sweet said yes and asked how fast I need it. Anyways I picked it up and wore it for my event yesterday and it came out PERFECT absolutely fantastic job! This alteration shop does amazing work, with lovely helpful people who are a pleasure to work with. My daughter had an item that needed a tricky alternation for school and of course it was handed to me with no time to spare. I tried to put my sewing skills to work but to no avail and when my husband walked in to find my last ditch effort of using Gorilla tape to create a new hem we knew we needed help. We called Victoria's and they were very used to this particular project having other local students as clients. A few hours later we were there so she could be sized. I've been visiting this location recently in the last few months. I have had a few formalwear dresses altered for my daughter, who is currently the 2019 Miss Texas Pre-Teen. I was very happy with the alterations done on her various formal dresses. And then the catastrophe happens! Her formal blue ball gown competition dress (which had already been altered in the bust for my daughter), was accidentally burned by me and a too hot steamer!! 4 days before flying out to Los Angeles to compete at Nationals, and I put a HUGE burn hole (about the size of a fist) in the front of the dress!!! Panic stricken, and on the verge of crying, my husband rushes us over to Victoria's, hoping Jennifer can somehow help! She performed a miracle and took appliqués from the back of the dress and placed them on the front hip, covering the hole. And all in 3 days!! I can't thank them enough! I have included photos of the burnt blue dress, along with a few other pieces that were altered by Victoria's. The prices are on par with other local companies and I would recommend them not only for harder pieces (such as my daughters) but also for you basic hems and adjustments. I love this location and how they do their work but recently the work has gone down hill my daughter had to be in a wedding they overcharged her for the trim work for the dress it was $100 for 3 inches cut off . Come to find out the him was uneven and not even trimmed the 3 inches the dress was still to long even though my daughter wore her shoes for the him up !!!!! read more

I have known Victoria since I was 4 years old; I am now 18 and she never messes any of my alterations up. She alters clothes for me, my mother, my prom dates, and other members of my family. My friend recommended Victoria's custom tailoring in Encino and I couldn't have been more impressed with the quality job that was done. I had my suit altered to be more slimming and fitting as opposed to how it was originally tailored which was more old fashioned and baggy. Custom tailoring makes a $200 suit look like it's $1,000 and that is the type of service that I got when I went. Highly recommend. I purchased a formal gown from Nordstrom, and stood for their alteration specialist to pin it. The result was not attractive, no matter how many times she pinned and re-pinned. I opted out, and took the gown to Jenny at Victoria's. Genius is the best word I can use to describe her work. She is utterly brilliant! I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it. I brought in curtains that matched my bedroom set but they only came in 84" panels...my windows are 95-96". I bought a few extra panels and together with Victoria, came up with the perfect way to "cut and paste" and add length to the panels I needed. I needed 6 panels completed. She actually suggested doing one first to see if I liked it and if the length was correct. I took it home and tried it out (she called me before it was finished to check it out)... Turns out, we needed to go a bit longer. I told her and she redid that panel as well as finished all the others. She was very professional and gave me options on how to do it for not a lot of money...I liked that. The curtains are now the perfect length! I will definitely go back to her again for any other tailoring/alterations I might have. Highly recommend this store. read more
