As a long-time customer, I expected better communication and to feel like my concerns mattered. Instead, I left feeling unheard and undervalued. Trust is one of the most important qualities in an auto repair shop, and unfortunately, I no longer have that trust. I went in with my 2019 Jeep and requested them change my coils, spark plugs and boots due to a tune up check engine light. Alex said not to change the coils because they hardly ever go bad. He said he would fix my vehicle for less than it was quoted. I left the vehicle there for three days. They did the work and after $1200 the vehicle was still idling bad. I have never had issues with my Grand Cherokee before then. Alex then told me as I was picking up my Jeep that my water pump was leaking and my coolant was low. He recommended I fix the water pump. I had them buy an OEM water pump and replace it. $1200 later it was fixed. I took my Jeep home and a week later it was all of a sudden leaking coolant and oil. I took my Jeep to The Jeep Dealership and paid $500 for an estimate on the issues. Low and behold they said my water pump was leaking and I needed a new water pump. When I called Hill Country Automotive and spoke with the two owners they refused to pay my labor cost back because I was going to do the work again at the Jeep dealership to get things fixed right. The owner who started speaking in Spanish because he started acting like he was not understanding me, told me he could nit refund my money and I told him I needed my invoice because I was going to replace it at the Jeep dealership. I told him since it was an OEM part it did have warranty and if he wasn't going to be going to hold himself responsible for such horrible service since my water pump was still leaking that I was going to do the work at the dealership. I needed their invoice since they "ordered" the OEM part. Well he told me he would have to look for the invoice and go a few hours later. Mind you, I had done the work the week before but he could not produce an OEM invoice on my water pump. That was very sketchy because who knows if they even did buy and put on an OEM part. This entire shop seems to be looking to find "issues that suddenly arise" charge a lot of money for parts and labor and cannot get your car running properly. This garage is almost a scam shop. I gave them $2500 and did not get my problems fixed, no money refunded and ended up doing the same work to find the fix at the Jeep dealership in Boerne. Please THINK TWICE before going to this shop. If you do, understand that they will not be fair, will over charge you and you will have to pay twice to get your issue fixed. Sad but true.

Than we traded in the 2022 model and bought a Limited 2024 Tundra with ALL the extra warranty packages that would cover the Tundra from Bumper to Bumper if anything breaks , tears , scratch Toyota would swap out the parts per sales rep of Toyota with this extended warranty package. Fast forward almost 2 years later. My wife takes the 2024 Tundra to Toyota of Austin to do a regular maintenance oil change and tire rotation. Wife drives home all done. 10 weeks later wife was pulling up in the drive way and I hear scratching noise as she pulls up I notice 1 of the hubcap is loose and rattling. I noticed one of the 2 bolts was missing which is causing the rattling noise and also scratched up the rim real bad. Well apparently the service rep at Toyota Austin did not tighten the hub cap properly cause 1 bolt was missing while the only other bolt was loose which cause the scratches on the rim. I checked the other 3 hubcap and another hubcap on the rear passenger side was also loose but not loose enough to cause any scratches yet. Anyway we just took the Tundra in and the service department refused to replace the scratched rim said it was not covered by our warranty? This was not a warranty problem Toyota. This was a personnel problem by your own Toyota employee lack of properly securing the hubcaps!!!!! We also address there was chip paint off the running board on the passenger side where we bought the running boards from Toyota that was added on after we purchased the 2024 Tundra. This is a warranty issue and Vic Vaughn of Toyota your service rep told my wife to paint it black and that would fix the issue? I am like WHAT??? We paid Several Thousands of dollars for this extra warranty for your service rep to tell my wife to paint it black where the paint came and you will be fine? We purchased a used vehicle and were given the absolute runaround. Five days straight we were told a part hadn't arrived, even though they initially said it was there and being worked on already... When we finally went to pick up the car, we sat in the waiting room for almost five hours, even though they claimed it was ready. The salesman told us everything was fixed and detailed the day prior and when we arrived, it wasn't detailed at all, and the salesman was not there for our scheduled appointment. Then shortly after, the check engine light comes on. It's a simple issue, something they should have no reason not to fix. Instead they refused service, had us leave, and told us to confirm our warranty that we have with them on our own. Then he said it's not something they could fix at their dealership...? I know not many people check Yelp reviews for dealerships, but I hope this at least reaches some people because I hate supporting inconsiderate and disrespectful places.

I am attaching the review my husband wrote with photos, but just in case TLDR, they damaged my husband's property and are refusing to pay to fix it. Their final offer was for us to pay half and they pay half of the large tear they made in my husband's car seat. We shouldn't pay ANY of it when we didn't create the tear. Their reasoning is that "we aren't going to pay to fix your seat when the seat was already worn out anyways." We have been very surprised and shocked with how the owner has chosen to handle this situation and refused to make it right. You cannot just go damaging a customer's property and not fix it. Mistakes happen, but it's how you choose to handle those mistakes that's important. I would advise everyone to steer clear of them or take very detailed before and after photos of their vehicles before turning them over to them. We are now unfortunately going to have to pay to reupholster the seat due to someone else's damages. In the photos attached: you can see a large rip where an employee sat down in the driver's seat to fix my husband's window with a tool or keys in their back pocket and then turned it back in to us without saying a word. We paid them over $1200 for their work on the car.
