I am definitely a fan of this brewery. I think that the beers are very very good and well balanced. I enjoy going to the tasting room to have some beers at a very fresh from the brewery. Love Bog Iron! I've been a loyal fan since they first opened. I was happy when they expanded the place. The beer is awesome and my favorite is the burly blonde and stinger. I have two complaints. One, the place is loud when they are full. It hurts to be here when it's full of people and everyone is talking loud! Therefore, we try to come when they open and leave before it gets loud. Second, they need more tables/chairs. The bulky couches take up much needed real estate. read more

Returned again on Saturday to get my growlers refilled. Service was quick and friendly. Though the selection was not as wide as my previous visit, the beer was just as great. I highly recommend getting a beer flight to sample the day's selections. You can check out 4 brews for just $5.00! If they had room for a dartboard, they would never get me out of there! read more

Decent sized draft list. The beers were average and the prices were great. They had a good selection of cans. It was also dog friendly.

I have been to Bog Iron Brewing twice and I have been impressed both times I've gone. The place is always packed, everyone is always so friendly and the beer selection (and value) is amazing. I wish that they were open more/longer hours so I could come check them out other times. The best thing to come to Norton in 25 years. You might have to wait in line, and you might have to drink standing up. I have visited about ten times, but never got a seat at the bar. That's success. Kudos too for serving styles other than IPA. (And I like IPAs.) read more

We love place, the people & the beer. The only drawback is very limited hours and they won't buy back growlers.

They get 5 stars because there is no higher rating I can give them. Don't come for the food, there is none (you can get food across the street). It's a small place so you'll probably end up standing. The beer is freaking awesome, best I have had at a brewery and I have been to some good ones. My favorite is burly blonde but hobble robble is also excellent. I don't usually go for porters or stouts but Frank from Akron is an amazing porter brewed in Cabernet barrels. Unbelievable. They do flights and you can tell the guys do it for the beer. read more

Awesome beers locally made(I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses and am anti-chain). Had tried a few of their brews before at a friends house but had never gone there until last night. I can buy all sorts of quality microbrews elsewhere but what drew me to Bog Iron is the fact that they allow dogs and a place like that is a place that gets my business. I write this review with very mixed feelings. I LOVE this place. By far the best craft-brewed beers I have ever had, bar none. The problem is, I don't necessarily want everyone to know about it. But I am writing and giving it the highest rating because they deserve it. The brewers, the wait staff and the clientele are the absolute best and everybody knows about beer. Several of the other visitors I have talked to are home brewers. The place can get crowded because of the limited hours, but there is a reason for that -- the BEER. The best thing about the selection is that they cover the entire spectrum for beer drinkers and they aren't all super hoppy IPAs like some places. Most brew-pubs you have to dig through the selection to find one, maybe two, beers that you like. This place, I have the opposite problem. When I bring my bottles back for refill and/or have a pint at the bar, I don't know which one to choose, because I really like almost all of them. Nice problem to have. I have introduced several of my coworkers and friends to Bog Iron and most of them are regulars now. read more
