Very cool ambiance inside and outside. Indoors has self seating but can be very loud with all the conversations and music. They sell shirts, growlers and to go beer. They also sell food. Nothing fancy but typical bar food. You go up to the bar, order your food/drinks and take a number then they bring it to your table. If you want a quieter time, outside has Adirondack chairs around beautiful fire pits. It's more chilled outside with less noise. Great place for groups and even families. Don't book your event here. Here's why, I called and emailed to book my 60th birthday party at Narragansett Brewery tap room. After a few days Miranda from the Tap Room called. I gave her my event date, approximate number of guests, and what I was looking for. Over the next 10 days, I sent texts, emails and called several times to follow up. Miranda did not get back to me. I did manage to call and get a hold of someone. After checking I was told, "There are events scheduled for that day, we may be crammed for space." She did not get my event in the book and booked other events. Now, three weeks from my birthday, I'm behind the 8-ball looking for a different venue. Seems to me The Narragansett Brewery and tap room are very unreliable and nonchalant about booking events. If you are looking for a place to have a party or event and not have to worry about your space being available when you get there, Narragansett Brewery in Providence is not the place. Don't do it. It's a crap shoot. read more

A while back I went to Narransett Brewing for lunch. I ordered the barbecue pork sandwich. I ended up sitting outside on the back deck. It was nice. The service was friendly. The food was pretty good and tasted fresh. The beer was good too ordered the Narragansett Lager. The bun did end up falling apart a little bit and the pork did not really have that smoky flavor I was looking for but it was overall was decent. read more

Great spot for grabbing a beer on a sunny (or not so sunny, as the case may be ) day. You have beautiful views of the skyline from the outside area. They have a good selection of locally brewed beers and they even make their own fruit flavored hard seltzers. You cannot buy the iconic Narragansett Lager here (fun fact - it's actually brewed in upstate NY) but there are plenty of other lagers and ales brewed on site. They have basic bar snacks - hot dogs, nachos, pizza. We got the nachos. They were covered in beer cheese, pico de gallo and crema, we got the chicken in the side. They were good but not as good as you could get at your local mexican spot. Still, a great addition with the beers. I had the Del's Shandy which was refreshing and light. Went to a Bruins game and booked the Hilton Garden inn not realizing it was next to the Brewery which I had been wanting to go to. Love the vibes and set up, chill atmosphere, board games etc on one wall. Loved seeing the display of old Narragansett beer bottles and cans. The beer was excellent, I got a flight of 4 for just over $12. The oatmeal raisin cookie w buttcrunch ice cream was super good . The cookie was crisp not soft. I prefer soft but it was definitely still good and huge. The beer cheese and pretzel was great but u had to pay extra for the mustard dipping sauce. It only came with one which was a drag. Cheese was great. The chicken nachos were ok waaay too salty, had potential but wouldn't get again. The bacon huge disappointment. It was somewhat lame and looked like basic store bought bacon fried in a pan like I can do at home. Nothing special at all. Odd. Wonder if that was a mistake? Overall great experience, lots of TV's to watch the Olympics. Service was quick on a Sunday at 6pm. Lots of cool memorabilia on walls. I would definitely go again, lots of outdoor seating for warmer months. read more

I've been to Narragansett many times, and always love coming here. The beer is always great, and the atmosphere always friendly and open. I love the deck seating and I love that it's dog friendly! An awesome brewery spot! I'm not a beer drinker personally, but my friends and family love all of Narragansett's choices so far! I am a big fan of their seltzer or jus jus they have on tap; they're always fun and seasonal! The snacks are also pretty good too, with the flatbreads being my personal favorite! The service is really quick - I've never waited longer than a minute or two for someone to help me at the bar. I love their trivia on Monday nights (one of the best trivia options in town), and I also love that they have different games on the TVs throughout the space! There are always a dozen or so beers on tap, as wellas their own "Jus Jus" hard seltzer, and now they offer three types of natural wine from Alileo for those who prefer something other than beer. There is a limited menu of bar food (pizza, nachos, pretzels) and the service is friendly - you order at the bar, are given a number and then food is delivered to your table. Often they have a food truck as well. The bar area is large and there are plenty of tables indoors and out on the patio, so you can nearly alwys find a seat. Great place to meet friends as it is easy for everyone to run their own tab. Worth a stop, especially during the warmer months. read more

The Narragansett Beer came into fruition by 6 German immigrants in the 1890s; they combined $100k worth of funds to construct a brick brewing building in Cranston, RI. The beer gained popularity shortly after and it was the number one selling beer in New England. The building in Providence is beautiful with a balcony area. On a warm autumn day, we sat outside and enjoyed some brews. A few of my favorites were: Del's Shandy: reminded me of RI summers. I love the lemon flavor, it's refreshing! Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout: rich flavor that is sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee. Gourd Reaper Pumpkin Ale: tasted like pumpkin and spices; comes with a cinnamon sugar rim glass. This is perfection and tasted like autumn. They have many events and the taproom is spacious. The bar was clean and the beer-tenders are super awesome and friendly. There were plenty of parking spots during the early afternoon. Can't wait to go back soon! read more

Wow, this place was incredibly busy & packed to the point of being unsafe. There is no reason people shouldn't be able to walk around without saying, "Excuse me" on a constant loop. Yes it's a cool set up and a fun vibe. But they could use some serious crowd control. Overall, the beer is solid as you'd expect. Not as yummy as a craft brewery but you know exactly what to expect with a gansett so there aren't any surprises. Loved being able to try some of their IPAs and the holiday beer on tap was a treat. Despite the crowd, the food came out quickly and it was yummy! I'll try to come during an off peak time, perhaps when it's warmer.
