As a long-time regular, I love Berkley, but it has become increasingly difficult to visit due to the early closing hours. It is especially frustrating because the other options in the area just don't compare. Lately, the staff has started cleaning up and stacking chairs more than an hour before actual closing time. This makes the environment feel very unwelcomed and rushed. On a recent visit, I got my food, took just a few bites, and ended up asking for a to-go box because the staff's heavy cleaning made me feel too uncomfortable to stay. I truly hope management considers extending the hours and addressing the pre-closing routine. I recently got take out from here for the first time and it was horrible! The pizzas are a lot smaller and cost the same price. My pizza also came with half the topping it was supposed to. Extremely disappointed with the take out experience. read more

I ordered for take out a gluten free Manny's pizza, loaded baked potato and Caesar roasted broccoli. The pizza was OK. I found it didn't have a ton of flavor. The roasted broccoli was good. The biggest disappointment was the "loaded" baked potato. It was old and hard and there was hardly anything on it. A few bacon bits and a sprinkle of cheese. The service was great, the food was ready for pick up on time. The parking lot was full, and it is a large lot, so obviously they're doing something right. Pretty good place. Good food and service. I guess their tap water isn't the best so they recommend bottled. They have neat picnic bench tables inside, as well as high tops and a booth. I got a salad with grilled chicken, pretty basic and hard to mess up. Only bad thing is there was so much food in such a small bowl that I had to ask for another plate to mix it up without it falling on the table. My mom got chicken wings and a baked potato. The chicken wings could've been crispier, but they had a good taste. My dad got the pub club which was actually super yummy. When there isn't a lot to see in an area you get nervous that one of the only spots is packed, but why because of lack of options or is it good. Thankfully this spot is fantastic! So many options of drinks and food. Started off with the Chourico queso and garlic bread with marinara dip. Both were excellent, little bit of spice on the queso and the marinara was delicious with that crispy garlic bread. The pizza was solid! Thin, crispy, full of flavor, the bbq was the crowd favorite, the Mozambique was okay but really lacked that signature flavor on it. I've visited this brewery a handful of times now just to grab a quick beer while my kid has practice up the road. It's a beautiful open space with an open air kitchen/pizza oven. There's a bunch of patio seating but I've only sat at the bar so far. Everyone has been friendly and attentive. Last time in there was a magician going table to table performing neat tricks which was a real bonus! One day I'll try the food and update. So far my favorite beer is their coffee porter. read more

All staff were friendly and attentive. Hands down best pizza I've had in a long time. You can tell they use premium ingredients. We ordered just a plain cheese first to determine how well the pizza was made. Once we gave the cheese pizza a 10/10 we wanted to try their pizza with pepperoni. Pepperoni did not disappoint, 10/10. We visited Berkley Beer Company yesterday afternoon to celebrate my mom's retirement. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially for a place that advertises itself as family friendly. The beer was fair, and the pizzas were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the service really impacted the overall atmosphere. Our waitress came across as very flat, unfriendly, and lacking any warmth or personality, which made the experience feel unwelcoming from the start. What was most frustrating was the way the children in our group were treated. The kids were sitting together at an outdoor picnic table quietly playing games on their phones and interacting with each other appropriately. At one point they got up and moved around the outdoor area a bit and were spoken to, despite being well behaved and not disruptive. For a brewery that promotes itself as kid friendly, the environment certainly did not feel welcoming to families. We wanted this to feel like a fun, relaxed celebration for a special occasion, but unfortunately the atmosphere made it difficult to fully enjoy. ***EDITED AFTER BUSINESS REPLY *** There were TWO fathers outside with the children for the entirety of our stay, because we already knew this policy. I rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones, but after our experience today, I felt it was important to share for other families considering a visit. I had always heard this was a great local spot for families to enjoy food, drinks, music, and a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, our first visit was quite the opposite. Throughout our time there, the manager repeatedly gave the impression that our children were not welcome, despite the venue offering games specifically for guests to enjoy. While the kids were simply playing and having fun, we received several unnecessary interactions from management that made the experience uncomfortable. On two separate occasions, the manager approached us regarding a table we were not using--a table that remained vacant for the entire two hours we were there. We were also approached after someone became excited about winning a game, which felt completely unnecessary and took away from what should have been a fun, family-friendly environment. The food was decent, and the beer was good, but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. As someone who has visited many wineries and breweries, I've found that most welcome families and encourage guests to relax and enjoy themselves responsibly. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had here. The beers are OK. The establish taproom is concerned is not managed as well. The owners wife seems to be overly micromanaging of the staff and engages the patrons a little bit too much. Last time we were in the Brewers wife continue to come over the table and ask us to fill out a survey. She asked us so many times it was really disturbing our experience. I've been here twice now for Acoustic Sundays and we all love it here! Service is top notch, food is delicious and the drink selection and flavor is amazing! The staff literally make you feel like you're home. The restaurant and brewery area are so clean! Julie and Glen gave us a brief tour and told us about the history and start of the brewery. I was not advised that it was ok to be on the lower patio. If that was the case then I wouldn't have written this review in hopes that someone higher than a manager would see. I figured the patio was safer to give my toddler some space to roam than the actual restaurant and/or the parking lot but the manager told me being on the patio was indeed a "safety concern". I wasn't worried about the door locking, considering I had about 15 friends inside who could open the door for me. I left shortly afterwards, as I felt very unwanted by the actions of the manager. Had there been a sign on the door that the patio was closed, I wouldn't have gone out into it. I would have appreciated if he told me I could stay on the lower patio, as it was nice outside and my toddler was happier once he was able to roam for the 1 minute we were able to be outside. *in response to the reply that you have updated. Fell upon this place. Has the most tasty sour I have ever had. My man loves the Berkeley ipa Inside is spacious and runs well. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have Both picnic tables in the grass and regular tables and chairs on the outdoor patio under the tarps. Staff is super friendly and work great together. live music and good food selection. My wife and I have been coming here for 3 years now with our kids and Berkley has been consistent from day 1. The owners, Glenn and Julie, are incredible people and it's no surprise that they have turned Berkley into the booming business that it is! The drinks and food are phenomenal. Our favorite drinks are whatever Painted Laydezes is on draft as well as the Hog Oiler and Sooper Sacherated! For food we really enjoy the pretzels, street corn dip, deviled eggs, charcuterie board and the meatball pizza! You truly can't go wrong here though.
