I discovered Scott's Auto a few years ago when my car needed a repair. I have a 2020 Toyota Rav 4,…read morewith 54,000 miles on it. So I started bringing my car there for annual maintenance and was quite satisfied. A few months ago during my annual maintenance they told me I needed new bushings and control arms that would be almost $7000. To say I was shocked was an understatement. A friend recommended I take my car to Tony's Auto Service Center, located at 5602 E Thomas Rd, which I did and asked they check out the bushings and control arms. They called me several hours later to say I DID NOT need new bushings and control arms. They said that a vehicle with 54K miles on it is no where near requiring this repair. They said they don't see vehicles requiring this repair until after at least 100K miles, especially Toyotas. In addition, after checking Car Fax, to which apparently mechanics report every car repair they perform, they noted that at 30K miles they performed a maintenance type repair that isn't required until 50K miles. As a retired single woman I feel like they took advantage of me by lying about what had to be done on my car. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I cannot begin to tell you how upset I am. DO take your car to Tony's Auto Service Center, even though it may be far from where you live. Call 480-945-7788 and ask for Mike or Scott and tell them Bob's friend Cindy referred you. You will not be disappointed.

I had some services done at Scott's Automotive & Tire of Peoria about a month and a half ago. At…read moreScott's, I asked for an AC evac and recharge but instead of doing this, they just emptied out my freon so my AC would only blow warm air and then quoted me around $3,900 for a new AC kit and condenser. After getting my car back and realizing that my AC was only blowing warm air, I immediately called them to ask what had happened. The person on the phone said "You need a new condenser dude." I told him "That doesn't answer my question" so he got me on the phone with the mechanic who agreed to put freon back in my car the next morning. He did this and it blew cool air again but they still insisted I needed to pay $3,900 for a new AC kit and condenser, suggesting that there must be some kind of a leak in my AC even though they couldn't show me a picture of the leak. Quickly after this, I went to Big Brand Tire & Service where they actually inspected my AC, even doing the dye test, and found no leaks. They also did a legitimate AC evac and recharge. 1.5 months later and thanks to Big Brand, my AC is working better than ever. DO NOT GO TO SCOTT'S IN PEORIA. They may damage your vehicle to try to get you to pay for services that you do not need just like they did to mine. Additionally, Scott's Automotive & Tire of Peoria messed up the alignment that I paid for causing my 70,000 mile tires to burn through over a full millimetre of tread in just 1,100 miles. Attached is a picture that Big Brand sent me of what my alignment looks like just 1,100 miles after I had it "serviced" at Scott's. I also think that due to their diminishing reputation, Scott's Automotive & Tire of Peoria may be trying to manipulate the review system on Google Reviews. I tried to leave a similar review on Google a week ago but it ended up being filtered out. They also haven't had a review on google pass through their filter in over three weeks despite having over 700 google reviews in total.

We have plenty of proof, including affidavits that we're getting from the mechanic shop, phone calls, text messages and overwhelming evidence again people watch who you hire even when you provide proof it seems not enough for someone that doesn't want to take responsibility for the bad work done these are all my opinions except for the facts that I have and will be providing in court. I tried to resolve this with Mr. Kole showed him evidence. Let him know what I had and he still refuses and said I will see you in court clearly this is someone that doesn't want to take responsibility. I will be updating after it is resolved in court. Everything expressed is of my opinion.

The 2 guys came on time to install 4 aftermarket brakes (4 rotors and 4 calipers) for my 2024…read moreNissan Z. After the installation, I took my car for a ride and there were many warning lights on the dashboard. Not sure if they damaged all the sensors on the car but all the sensors are now giving me warning lights and these warning lights will not go away. If you have newer cars, DO NOT let these guys fix your cars. One of the mechanics was hitting the back rotor with a huge hammer very hard to get it off and must have damaged all the sensors, I guess. Another possibility is that the other mechanic was using an electric saw to cut off the dust covers and might have cut a cable to cause all the warning lights to show up on the dashboard. I sent them an email about all the warning lights but no response from them. They were able to install the 4 rotors and 4 calipers just fine but the brakes don't feel very tight and feel loose when hitting the brakes. I have to push the brake pedal almost all the way down to the floor in order to stop the car. I recommend these guys if you have older cars with no latest technologies. They have damaged my new car. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: 6/2/2025 Took my 2024 Nissan Z to the Nissan dealership and they found 2 problems with my 2024 Nissan Z. INSPECT SENSOR AND FOUND THAT SENSOR IS BROKEN. AND HUB IS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY. So far, I have not heard anything from the owner Kole Williams. I believe Kole does not want to take responsibility to fix my damaged car or provide a refund, and fulfill the warranty for installing the brakes. Everything was explained step-by-step, what needs to be done first and what can wait for later repair. No "pushing" additional services on me. And on the top of all that they sponsor one of our local baseball teams. Going to return to use their service in the future. Update (serviced my mom's car at Thunderbird): and yet again they did a great job explaining what's what. They are doing great job to take care of the customer, I guess yI u can still get a great value from local businesses around here. And people at Thunderbird are doing good job

We were provided a detailed report of needed repairs, each one being explained to us on the phone. We called back several times throughout the process and were completely confident of the quality of repairs. Keith stayed in constant communication with us and returned the car in a timely manner. The best part of the experience was the communication--we received texts and phone calls each day with an update and they even followed up w a call a few days later to ensure the car was repaired to our sasisfaction. The price was high though...but we appreciated the expert service.

I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.
