Great bartender! Nice drink list. Really enjoyed the descriptions of each item and how they got their name. You don't need to get a tour to taste/try items.

Service was ok. Not very welcoming more like just "what do you want" with such a huge menu and potential. Id help promote of the spirits and mixed drinks. Drinks were ok none were stirred or shaken which was odd, but after I stirred them they were good. Our second round of drinks looked more like the pictures and were way more fun. The ambiance is ok very casual. Some tvs were playing somethings others were not. The music was only inside not outside. I like the place and I feel like it has great potential. Its clean, and modern outside. And a bit trendy inside. The liquor itself was good, and ill come again on another day to see if maybe it was just a busy day.

Alright staff friendly... place always has something going on live music .. bingo... you name it. Perfect spot to get some friends together and unwind from a long day or week. Usually have a food truck out front for food options. Drink choices wide open.

My husband and I have been trying distilleries and have been wanting to try this one. So many good things here!!!! We got there early to get a bar seat..thank goodness because this was a busy night with a really good band. Tons of great drink options. We had an amazing conversation with the owner, Richard! Bonus was that I saw a college friend I haven't seen in 30+ years!! Try the Peanut Colada...flipping amazing!

Sissy helped acclimate us to the distillery. She is the scientist behind the operations here. This was our first visit and a most welcome, and enjoyable one at that. We came in th afternoon and I can imagine what evenings are like in the summer season at the shore.

Bogue Sound Distillery (Newport, NC) Last time we were down in North Carolina, we saw this distillery on the map and were aching to go, but ultimately ran out of time. This time when we were down here, we made a point of heading out there. We had intended to take the tour, but arrived just in time for the tasting. We went through five of their spirits: Vitzellen Vodka, Bombshell Gin, and the three whiskeys. With each taste, we were walked through the different ways to pair them in drinks. Our favorite (and one of their best sellers!) was the Salted Caramel Spirit. It is amazing just on its own, but when mixed with half and half at the tasting as well, it was outstanding. Can't wait to try it with coffee at home!

Great staff and very helpful.. they would help you figure out what flavor went best with different things! They have the most interesting liquor flavors too! They make their own vodka, gin, bourbon snd make a peanut butter whiskey and salted caramel one too.. great drink menu and soveniers you can purchase along with bottles of their liquor. I bought a sampler pack of all 5 came with a shot glass with their name on it..had nice spot outside to sip beverages or be in ac inside..

Enjoyed our time at Bogue Sound Distillery this afternoon. Thanks to the team for walking us through all their steps of production from grinding to distribution and points in between. Booked tour online but called to let them know we're running 10 min late. They worked us into their schedule and started the tour once we arrived. Tour started at 11:15 and we departed at 1:00. Will visit again once back in town. General distillery observations: 1) Craft distillery approx 3 years old starting to carve out brand loyalty in Eastern NC. 2) Not taking shortcuts in mashbills, distilling techniques and pot and column stills setup. 3) Growing with aging Bourbon and Whiskey spirits in mind (new rickhouse being built this year). Looking fwd to their further aged bourbon whiskey. 4) Barrels aging bourbon, barrels purchased from Kelvin Cooperage and Black Swan Cooperage (perhaps others). 5) Good value sipping and mixing bourbon. 6) Really enjoyed the Gin with refreshing cucumber on the palate and finish. 7) Salted Carmel and Peanut Butter liqueurs are well done, unique, and delicious. Tour - Top three PROs: 1) Seeing live production. Thanks to the staff for letting us watch and learn paired w/ friendly atmosphere. Suggest visit during the week. 2) Listening to and seeing the future plans for growth and bourbon aging. 3) Tasting their bourbon Tour - Couple possible CONs (depending on your perspective): 1) Give yourself at least an hour and half for tour and tasting. 2) not fan of the liquid jelly to pair w/ the Peanut Butter liqueur

The hostess guided us to our table suitable for our party which was 4 adults and three children. The environment is lively and spirited; all signs of a good visit to come. Savannah S was our server and did a fantastic job navigating the chaotic children with us and delivering great service with a smile. The food was great as usual. I ordered the smothered chicken while others ordered grilled salmon and sesame glazed salmon bowl. You don't get fine china and plates here, but what you will get is a consistent good time with an abundance of drink and menu items that deliver as promised. It's why we enjoy coming here every year and will continue in the future!

My family and I were vacationing in Emerald Isle and chose this restaurant for one of our evening…read moremeals. On June 24th, we first attempted to call the restaurant multiple times in order to place an order. So my husband and I chose to drive to the restaurant to place a carry out order and wait. When the hostess was placing the order, she said that anything over $100 would impose a 18% gratuity. This was a carry out order. We were not being seated in the restaurant. The hostess got the manager Amber. Amber was not receptive at all to our point that this was a carry out order. Our choice to tip or not is our choice. The order was $103. Really. Wow. My daughter insisted she would pay the tip. But my husband and I will not set foot inside this establishment again. Very disappointing. First we were told that the phones were working, but I got a message saying the voicemail had not been set up. Second, we drove in thinking we had to pay to park. Third we placed the order, but, I had to call my daughter to get additional info about cooking preferances. Fourth, we placed the order with the hostess who then tells us there is a 18% tip imposed on orders over $100. The order was $103 (after my husband and I dropped our meals from the order). This is absolutely absurd. Very frustrating evening for my husband and I. We are on vacation, and this is the hospitality shown to visitors. We asked to split the order, so that I could place an order for my daughter and my husband could place an order for us. But oh no, you can't do that. And then we were told that there would be a charge to use a credit card. Do you know how to rub salt in the wound. We paid $133.89 for a carry out food order that was barely over $100.
