Worst dealer experience ever. I spend most of my time overseas - so I was emailing back and forth with this dealer to pickup a new boat about 3 months ago. They answered every email in minutes - the sales guy even went as far as to write that I am at monster jam with my kids and I'm even responding to your emails now. All seemed great. I flew in, drove straight to them to pickup new boat. Great. They didn't walk me through it, but I've been around boats for a long time, so not an issue. I'll figure it out. Literally the minute I picked up the new boat, they stopped answering emails. Wouldn't respond to a single email. I even emailed saying hey, I want to PAY, can got schedule me in for a service. Nothing. Not a word. I get an email from the manufacturer, asking me to rate the dealer, I obviously gave them the truth. About a week later, the owner, Ryan calls me saying that his sales guy quit on him. Locked him out of email. Etc. etc. He said he would make it right. He answered about 2 emails and also went MIA. I found a different dealer already and they'll handle my warranty work and service. I would stay clear of this dealer - plenty of dealers around that would go out of their way to make the customer happy. I am already looking to upgrade my boat to something bigger even though this boat is still brand new, and you guys will never get my business again. centurion / supreme - if you guys read this by any chance, I would seriously talk to these guys and see if this is who you want representing your brand. read more

Beware of these guys. They will be happy to take your money but won't follow through with their promises. Our boat sat in the service department forever. When the boat was repair, they problem that sent to them in the first place had not been addressed and now I have a $2000 bill and a boat that still not running. The owner made a few promises to make it right before the office closed for the holidays. We followed up and now he is saying to take us to court if we want what they promised over the phone. This dealer is one of the worst in service and integrity. This is how to lose a $80,000 sale. They lie and misrepresent. This is like so many of the other reviews almost similar to the "t". They did a lower unit seal on a motor with less than 100 hrs. When I returned home it was leaking oil. When I called them on it they indicated it was "residual" and to run it some more. Still leaking. When I took it in the second time it was still leaking and the "new" battery they had previously installed was completely dead. They called me and told me to pick-up the boat that it did not leak and that there was no problem with the battery or the charging system. At this point I called them on their lies. I had emailed 5 pictures of the oil leaking. They never fix the charging problem. Unbeknownst to them, I had actually looked a second boat they had in the showroom a Regency 250 for about 75K. Oh sure you took me for $1,500 but you spared me from a world of headaches of having to deal with you in the future. Your nearsightedness, dishonesty and lack of integrity cost you more than you will ever know this time. On the charging system - I had alternator tested and it was completely dead. So no, I do not think I needed a new battery. This is just a word to the wise, buyer be aware. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE - or like someone with Covid!! read more

Yikes. Let me warn you about this place. Our boat sat in the shop for 5 summer weeks last summer for minor repairs. The people that work here have never heard of customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. Not only do they not know what they are doing (couldn't fix the trim sender/crossed wires) but they also said we needed to replace our 9 month old batteries stating both were bad when in fact they weren't bad. They said both batteries couldn't hold a charge. We took the batteries to an auto parts store and they used their commercial tester and said they were fine. Not only did they screw us over, they gave an attitude when asked for a refund for the batteries that didn't need to be replaced. There's other game in town who are actually happy to help. read more

Bought a used boat from this company. I live out of state, so I trusted the salesman (Brandon) and the pictures they provided to make my decision. I was told there was absolutely no problems with the boat and I had nothing to worry about. I asked tons of questions and kept being told "our guys looked over everything" and I could trust their process. I trusted the company and bought the boat and had it shipped to me. I took the boat up to my local centurion dealership and had them look it over. They immediately found small cracks in the hull near the rudder and we also found that the stinger plate paddles on the steering wheel did not work. When I sent the info and pictures to Bohner Lacefield, they would not accept responsibility and implied it was my fault for not using their shipper. They claimed the boat could have been damaged while being towed to me...but the boat was shipped on top of a trailer. It had no chance of getting hit or going over something because it was on a trailer. There was no excuse about the stinger plate paddles not working...they just ignored me from that point on. They stopped replying to my emails and requests and have heard nothing more from them. I trusted Brandon and this company and got burned. They are not trustworthy people and have zero integrity I guess. I would highly recommend finding a different dealership that shows better commitment to their customers and have integrity. read more

I purchased a new Bass boat, and at delivery, the boat had paint gouges. I was told it was from the delivery, and they would take pictures and get back to me. Six months later, not a word. Also, I was told they would include 10 gallons of gas. When I took it to the gas station, the 32 gallon tank took 31 1/2 gallons to fill it. ordered my boat on july 8, 2020. with water sports marine madera ca. / bohner lacefield marine madera ca was promised 6-8 weeks .. took 15 weeks. we finally picked it up 10/22/20 wow really. i would call all the time but owner wouldn't called back days later. reason i'm upset is because when we ordered the boat we put almost every option you can order except for a couple of things. the owner ryan did our order and i requested the largest ballast system you can put in the boat. and the biggest sound system. my wife wanted a smooth ride and lots of storage she got what she wanted. we got the large sound system but the ballast system was wrong. he said be sent me a build sheet but never walk me thru it. so we can make sure everything is there. or call me before the boat goes into production and make sure everything is correct. 1st - and most important the ballast system is wrong. missing 2 tanks ... dealer is trying to charge me for his mistake. 2nd - gps comes standard on supreme zs models. dealer is trying charge me 3rd - the prop on the boat is wrong. dealer assumed i wanted a faster prop. and ordered the in correct prop. .. dealer still hasn't sent me the replacement prop. boat wont do 11.2mph due to prop when wake surfing 4th - i called many many times. to make sure the trailer had certain details. order with extra wide fenders for wheel & tire upgrade. that was correct. but the spare tire bracket would accept the large tire. .. dealer excuse he couldn't fix it and he could get a welder to correct it. he just called 1 welder. i guess hos town one has one welder where heives amd operates. even though i called and called to make sure it was going to get done. i guess ryan should have called me back. *** this by far is the worst dealer i have ever ever dealt with. after spending 100k. this dealer doesn't care about you. i see all these five stars. i guess i should have spent more money and maybe they would taken me more serious ... very very sad. i also blam the manufacturer i have called amd called. but i keep getting pushed back to dealer. ugggg. ryan isn't that great of a business owner. **** read more

I pulled my boat out this morning, with an excited bunch of kids, ready to head out to the lake! After searching everywhere I realized I had lost my keys for the boat. Trip cancelled. So, I figured this would be a good time to drop it off at the shop, have them change out the ignition, and perform my annual maintenance. Generally, when you drop off the boat for anything, it's at least a few days before you see it again. When I stopped by, however, the guys at Bohner said, "just give me five minutes!" My ignition switch was changed and I was ready to get out on the water. Obviously, I realize now, changing it out wasn't rocket science. But seriously... Who does that anymore??? I was in and out of there faster than I have waited for coffee at Starbucks! If they had scheduled my maintenance and I came back another day to pick it up, I'm certain I would have been a "satisfied customer." This is just an example of amazing customer service; going above and beyond, when circumstances allow, to do something special for a customer. Oh! Ryan just asked us questions to find the best boat for us. We chose a Suntrack, but the company had made some changes to the original design that caused us problems. We called Bohner Lacefield Marine and told them the problems we were having. They contacted Suntrack, explained the problems, had new equipment delivered to the shop, picked up our boat from Clovis, fixed the boat, returned the boat to our home and all of this was done in less than 1 week !! If I could give negative stars I would. First issue, Customer services at this place sucks. I regret buying my brand new 2017 Chaparral boat from Ryan and Kim. This place is a absolute joke. After spending so much money at this place you would think they would be at least willing to help. My trailer has gotten two flat tires in 1 month. The first flat was the very day I bought the boat. They have done nothing for me. They have accused me of sabotaging my own trailer, which is thee most bazaar thing I have ever heard, the owner Kim, instead of taking care of the problem, pushed it off to Ryan, and obviously he was not adequate enough to even begin to think about solving problems. Another issue, while purchasing the boat, the boat would not start, and i felt forced to sign paper work before they could even get the boat started. Another issue, my boat was suppose to come with Bluetooth, when we were out on the boat finally test driving it with Bohner Lacefield the Bluetooth did not work. Ryan promised me they would fix that. 3 months later- they have not. I own a small family owned business myself, If any customer of mine spent as much money as I did, I would feel very responsible to please my customer- with any issue, any way possible PERIOD. Would never buy or refer anyone there. They are friendly in the beginning but once they have your money they are totally different. The reason why I bought a new boat was because I didn't want the headache of used boat problems. I've had so many problems with my boat from day 1. In and out of there shop. Everytime I take my boat to the lake, I take my boat into the shop the next week (not exaggerating). They know my issues from day 1. If I wanted an update I on my boat would have to call. They will not call you if its going to take them longer then what they told you. They'll fix one thing then something else breaks fix another and another thing breaks. Everything is still under warranty but its sucks when you have to take it back to someone that give you bad customer service. Service department needs better customer service. Super frustrated with them. I'm not going to b taking it back to them. I've waited to write this because of the warranty I still have and didn't want them to mess with my boat if I needed to take it back to them. You have been warned. DONT BUY from them. read more

We just bought a pontoon boat here. We looked at a lot of boats online, and there were so many options it was pretty confusing. We went to 3 different dealers looking at boats. This dealership was the best we visited. Courtney showed us a variety of boats with different layouts and options. When we decided on what we wanted, there were none available. She ordered one for us from the factory, exactly as we liked. The boat arrived quicker than expected :). We picked it up yesterday, and Ryan showed us everything we needed to know about the boat. Overall a great experience. Friendly, helpful staff. No-haggle prices on the Suntracker boats, which are really good compared to the competition. Initial sales customer service was good. However, upon the delivery of the boat at the lake, the sales person was an hour late and that just started the ball rolling downhill quickly. The boat was supposed to come with specific packages from another dealership. While it may not be Bohner's fault that it did not, delivery of the packages has been prolonged. What was supposed to be 1 to 2 day install timeframe, ended up being two weeks...and it's still not complete. The initial sales person did everything possible he could to make up for it which was a good effort I do have to admit. However, every timeframe that was promised to us has never been met once. The speedometer was supposed to be installed on the boat during the two-week downtime however that never happened. It was promised that it would be installed this last week, and yet once again, did not happen. I don't know if it is that the service department is inexperienced or shorthanded but there is little to no excuse for poor customer service and lack of communication. We never found out that it would take longer than expected until after the timeframe had passed and we contacted them with questions. I would not recommend this dealership for service department to anyone at least at this point. I honestly feel that now once they have the money for the boat, all of the promises have been broken because it doesn't matter anymore. read more

I can't agree with TM's review more. I would give them a negative star if I could. And yes, if you are a private boat owner, run away. We took the boat in to install an oil drain kit and had no communication from them for over a month. They were supposed to call us with an estimate and didn't. I had to follow up myself, only to find out that they were now claiming our tire was leaking. I declined they repair or replace it, stating I would "sign the safety waiver" they were requiring (before we could get our boat back) and we would repair the tire ourselves. Six weeks later, I still had to do the follow up - (they fail completely in communication with the customer). When we went in to pick up our boat not only did they overcharge for the work from the original estimate, but they replaced the tire and charged an additional $160 for the tire and repair. Again, we had no previous problem with the tire. The report had changed from a "leak in the tire & to a huge hole in the tire and the tread was failing off". Clearly they had damaged the tire while on their lot. I stated that I had declined they repair our tire and they finally removed the charge. This company does not know customer service. They never once followed up with us. We had to do the follow up. What should have been a 1 or 2 week work order took over 6 weeks, not to mention the poor customer service and accepting responsibility for their work. I will never take my boat back to this dealer and I would recommend to any boat owner not to do service with them. Unbelievable! read more

I actually give them zero stars. If you are a private boat owner, stay, no run, as far away from these guys as you can. We took our boat in for simple winterization and some minor repairs like replacing a tach and some rubber grommets. What we got back was a boat with a punctured pontoon (which they did fix), gutted wiring, none of the minor repairs completed correctly and a motor which not only wouldn't start, but also sprayed fuel. They insisted that it would cost a minimum of an additional $1800 to get it running again. From the moment I took it in they tried to sell me new carburetors even though the motor ran just fine. When I put it in the water after the "service/repair" and it wouldn't start, they insisted that I should have listened to them and replaced the carburetors when I first brought it in. I took it to another mechanic and they found the carbs to be in good working condition but found a blockage in an air line which essentially cost labor (about $200) to fix. Runs like a charm, except I still have to get the wiring repaired and fix all the the things I paid them nearly $1000 to fix in the first place. I know businesses that have commercial boat fleets on places like Bass Lake use this place, but if you are an individual private boat owner, stay away from these guys (especially if you have a Mercury motor). read more
