Decided on our first boat purchase and came to Pacific Marine Center. When we arrived Jason greeted us, offered us waters and asked how he can help us. We told him that we were interested in looking at a Yamaha Boat. He said it was in the other showroom and we took the club car down the street to their extended property. Didn't realize how many boats they had in stock. When it came to making the deal he was not pushy, got us extra discounts within reason and spoke to Jack (the owner) to see what else they can do to sweeten the deal. Jack was pleasant, probably stressed with how busy they were that day, but still took the time to work with us to get the price right for our purchase. When we came back the next week to pick up the boat they were very good in going over the entire boat and features as well as inspecting every angle. They include basic safety gear 4 life jackets and a throwable that you can exchange for credit if you already have gear. The workers hooked up the boat and trailer to our hitch and we were on our way. It gets busy here especially around 10-11am with people getting service for their boats. A lot of drop offs and pick ups. Definitely plan on coming early when they open. Customers come in stressed but Jason, Jack and staff stay cool and calm to help everyone with their needs. I am writing this review to express my frustration with Pacific Marine Center. On January 19, 2024 I dropped off my bass boat nitro Z 18 to have the mega 360 transducer installed. I provided a clear explanation of what was expected to both the technician and the service manager, and they both agreed to the explanation. On January 27, 2024, the boat was picked up by the secondary owner. However, upon further inspection, it was discovered that the transducer mount had been drilled into the fiberglass cap. Additionally, the actual transducer was attached to the live scope transducer mount. When I contacted the service department and the sales department manager, they acknowledged the mistake and admitted that they had drilled into the boat incorrectly. They agreed to reinstall the transducer properly and promised to paint-match the holes they had drilled on the boat. They kept the boat for an extended period of time, as they were waiting for flake to match paint perfectly. Finally, on February 23, 2024, the boat was picked up again. Unfortunately, the transducer still wasn't working, and the paint did not match. When we reached out to them again, they responded by saying that they can't make all customers happy. I wanted to share my honest experience with Pacific Marine, as I believe it's important for others to be aware of the issues I faced. I hope that the business takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their services for future customers 2nd part. The reply to my review from Pacific Marine is very disappointing and disingenuous. First of all, I didn't say make it work because I have several friends and family members with the same electronic. Secondly, I provided the mount that attaches to the trolly motor and have messages from the company where I bought it. I do know how it goes, and I told your tech, who was like " I go it." Lastly, you guys didn't know the boat had two owners until pick up. I dropped the boat and gave clear instructions, but your service manager and tech did not follow them. Jesse just picked up the boat that's when you guys knew it had two owners. Jessie never talked to the tech. Anyone who knows bass fishing knows that mega 360 transducers attaches to the trolly motor. I requested to have the local Crestliner Dealer install the covers as it required drilling into the windshield frame and was told I had to return the boat to have them or install it myself. Pacific Marine referred to the missing items as being a Warranty Claim when clearly it Pacific Marine's failure to match what they advertise on there website, confirm what's on the sales contract before shipping a $39,000 boat out of state. So I just got back from a 7 hour round trip purchasing a boat from PMC and I wouldn't of done it any other way. In my search of a boat I knew I wanted a Crestliner. We purchased our 2024 bayliner vr6 on July 20th 2024. On July 26th while loading up for a trip to shaver lake we played some music and noticed our tower speakers were not working . I called pacific marine and they informed me it would have to be there for a couple weeks. I had a local stereo shop check it out and it was determined the speaker connection was broken inside the speaker and became disconnected $65 to the stereo shop. They hooked them up temporarily until I had time to take back my 7 day old boat to pacific marine. The next day at shaver lake as we started our fist take off we noticed the mph on the boat was not working as we passed the slow buoys I began to speed up to an amazing speed full throttle to about 15 mph. Upon moving around putting more people in front taking people off still the same result. I then called pacific marine at 10:35am while I was still on the water I began talking to an individual about the mph and speed he assured me it would not affect our trip and to bring it the following week. We could not take my kids tubing because of slow speed nor could we even plane the boat couldn't get past 3500 rpms. On July 29th I was having my boat ceramic coated and the detailer pointed out plastic had not been taken off left side of decal only to find the reason was the decal was on crooked and peeling . On Wednesday July 31st I dropped the boat off and let the individual know about the decal, the speakers, the mph and boat had no power at the time I said the boat was only going 25mph little did I know it was a lot closer to 15mph. Also let him know scratches on tower, touch up paint on the inside of boat, scratches on passenger side in a square like shape. The individuals response was that he use to be a car salesman and that sort of thing happens on newer vehicles. Not exactly what you want to hear after a ruined 1st trip in a 60k boat! Spoiler alert no sorry was given at that time or through the whole process. I sent him pictures of the damages. August 6th I called to check status and the boat was not touched yet and was informed it would be 2 to 3 weeks. I was told if boat was purchased from them you get priority I don't know how much more priority with a boat that was bought and back at the shop the same week! I then called August 8th because the individual before said he would give a call back. Only to find out that the boat was still listed as a regular maintenance. Promise promise promise on august 14th I called again only to find out it was not in yet and they will have it the next day. I got a call and was told it was ready on the 15th and I let them know I would pick it up on the 16th and was promised to have it ready and washed. When I showed up I asked to speak with the manager or owner for all the inconvenience all through the process dating from first visit he was not in. I asked to speak to a tech and when they brought him out he told me that there was no issue on the computer but there was a hose disconnected and he assured me that would not have anything to do with boat speed only mph reading. He explained that the elevation would cause power loss and I would need a new prop and told me my motor 250 hp was a small motor for that boat. I am fairly new to boating and if he could have had it installed right then I probably would have went for it. I am sure glad I did not do it we took the boat back to shaver lake with the same amount of people and that boat ran awesome. Got it up to 38mph a whole 23mph faster. EVERYTHING FROM THEM WAS AN EXCUSE NEVER AN APOLOGY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE! Till this day I am waiting for a call that I had asked to speak to manager or owner and still have not received any word about DECAL, THE SPEAKERS, THE SCRATCHES. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A FIRST TIME BOAT BUYER. I have all pictures with dates and call logs and text showing this horrible experience. Here's an update on this situation. 4 months later I have still not received my $5000 deposit nor did they sell me the boat. I finally agreed to purchase their boat even though it arrived much later than promised. Turns out that a recent ding on my credit score did not allow me to get financing with their banks. So while I was trying to get financing on my own, they emailed me that because I left them a bad review a month ago that they would no longer be selling me the boat. I then asked them to refund my deposit but they refused. So at this point, they are holding onto my $5000 and the boat. I am writing this update to warn you from doing business with this company. This company needs to be investigated for their fraudulent business practices. I forgot to mention that since I left some online reviews about my terrible experience, as well as some of my friends and family members who I shared my experience with and were appalled by this, Pacific Marine Center since hired a lawyer and are threatening to sue me and my friends/family members for sharing this story online. I was searching for a new pontoon boat locally however, the prices were just to much for what they had to offer. I went on the internet and found Pacific Marine Center. I purchased my second used boat from them. They will tell you to your face that they do a full service on every used boat they take in... (ie motor oil service, outdrive service, impeller change) Don't believe it for a second. If it runs they simply shine it up and hand you the keys. My motor oil and outdrive oil were black as sin, and the impeller was clearly many years old. Also told me they put new tires on the trailer, LIE. Tires date coded 2007, same year as the boat. I can not even tell you how pleased I am with Pacific Marine Center. I stopped by a few weeks ago as I have been in the market for a boat for several months (Sold both my boats last Fall), the market is tough right now. At the time they had nothing for me so Jason (Sales) took my name and said he would call me should something come up. Much to my surprise, less than 24 hours later Jason called and informed me there was a 20' SeaRay that he thought would meet my needs. Needless to say, I headed right that way. He was right, it was exactly what I was looking for. I gave them a deposit as it was not ready to pick up, fast forward the week of the 4th of July. I was really hoping to pick the boat up prior to the holiday weekend for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, they were waiting on a new fender for the trailer. I ended up speaking to Jason in Service on Tuesday evening, checking to see if they could get me on the water for the Holiday. Jason said he would call me in the morning and see what he can do. 5 Minutes later on Tuesday, after closing time, he called and said he figured it out, and that I could pick up the boat the following day. I can not say enough about Jason (sales) and Jason (service). These guys hooked me up and truly went above and beyond. Professional, courteous and did exactly what they said they would do and more. Now about the boat, Used boat, new to me. When I went to pick it up it looked excellent. Detailed and ready for the water. We actually went right from their place to Millerton. The boat started right up, ran like a dream and is truly more boat then I ever expected. Once again, , my family is thrilled and I am beyond pleased with Pacific Marine Center. Dealing with them will make a sleezy used car salesman look like Jesus Christ. The owner Jack has as much tact in dealing with customers as a brick wall. Seems like Dave the sales guy is a kid forced to eat his vegetables when it comes to keeping the customer informed throughout the buying process. My wife and I bought a brand new Avalon pontoon With a 200 pro xs motor....Jack was beyond incredible to do business with. This outfit is top notch, my wife and I wanted a pontoon boat to put in a slip at the Havasu springs marina..Jack made it happen and effortlessly! He threw in everything under the kitchen sink!...buoys, Upgraded motor,upgraded stereo amp and more! I'm blown away at what a great deal we got, especially during the covid and nobody having boat parts..you'd think this outfit would stick it to you like other companies do due to supply and demand!...but not Jack, He is really a top notch biz man and handles his clients With respect and care!..... Took my boat in to this place a few months ago to get a diagnosis and and a compression test and was told that all my cylinders was working fine, and was told that #4 coil was bad and to switch it out with a new one. Been month laters with switching out new spark plugs and new coils and still having same issue. Decided to buy a compression tester to do it myself and come to find out #4 cylinder is actually out. Basically I got screwed over for $300 and got lied too, I wouldn't trust this place and would not be recommending it to any of my friends. This place is a ripoff should of knew it when their Machinic sold me trailer parts behind doors. read more
