When I walked passed this place, it caught my attention, I saw a couple things in the window that caught my eye and I was curious about costs. I was greeted by 3 women, who couldn't not have been nicer. One even asked what brought me in and when I saw the curb appeal caught my attention, I got the impression my feedback wasn't well taken. That said, I say plenty I could have considered gift worthy, but the pricing was like the Disneyland Gift Shop. Holiday items were 70% off. Truth be told, it lowered the items to a price that was far closer to reasonable and as a former retail buyer, I can tell you, if you can afford to sell anything for 70% off you are charging too much for other items. There is a reason Nordstroms can have massive sales 3 times a year where the entire stock is discounted and that is the same reason, they are now closing locations and losing business to online retailers who sell for a fair price daily. This is also Marysville, so why am I being asked to pay. Medina pricing? Listen the store is quaint, you will certainly see something that interests you, but the sticker shock here is real and reminds me of my trip to San Francisco last year where a candy store was charging $25 a pound for the same candy Winco sells for $4 a pound, or even less in bulk from Amazon. God bless them, I never want to see anyone go out of business, but affordable is not a word I would use to describe this place.

I saw a bunch of items he had for sale ranging from tables to chairs as well as couches; many of the items he has taken really good care of and really passionate about. There was another lady in the store who I had spoken to who would vouch for his wonderful work and service as she is a longtime customer. Where his store is located is adjacent to a gravel lot that has plenty of space to park at and conveniently located next to a bus stop. There's a good variety of interesting and even rare items, at reasonable prices (which I understand are set by the booth owners and not the store owner, but still). There's always good music playing. There are more sections in the store than it looks like from the outside, but it's not overwhelming or hard to navigate like some other antique stores. And every time I've been, the items for sale do appear to have been cleaned at some point in the last 50 years, which again is unlike some other stores.

The owner must be careful in who she allows to have a stall, because every single stall had quality items worth browsing. I went at Christmas time and loved the selection of antique Christmas items as well. I purchased a Spode Christmas vase, Lenox nut bowl, Lenox ash trays (that will work as tiny nut plates), spoon rest in a rare retro atomic burst pattern, and a beautiful tea cup. What a great day of finds!

I first learned about it from my LA friends. Later Miniso came to Pearlridge Center in Aiea, Hawaii and, most recently, Waikele Premium Outlets in Waipahu, Hawaii! I like to look at the clearance items! Miniso here featured Harry Potter merchandise at 70% off! Wow! This time, Miffy caught my attention! The makeup brushes, lip balm, blind boxes, and shower gel were so cute! I also was drawn to Snoopy and Hello Kitty... ahhh... kawaii!!!
