They had the cutest area to sit and have a drink with a friend. Very cozy. The girls working were very nice and helpful. I loved the menu on the wall with all the photos and ingredients listed. I wanted them all! My drink had heart shaped gummies Omg!!! The best! I wish I lived closer. I'd be here every day.

Cute little shop. Love the ambiance and the greenery in the area. You can also purchase a tub of boba to take home. Enough space to come in to do work and also just talk with friends. A huge variety took me awhile to decide. But from what I heard none of them are to disappoint. The two ladies working that day were very knowledgeable and patience with everybody.

Execellent customer service was received from the ladies at Boho Tea Bar. The vibe here is simply amazing as there are plenty of options to choose from and they even offer a special selection of holiday flavored bubble teas. This place also has a really nice Christmas set up and is a cool place for having a chill coffee date or to get some work done on the laptop. It's not too loud and not too quiet. There is music playing but it's light and holiday-esque. Like it here for sure!

I was SO excited to hear that a Boba Tea shop had opened in alabaster! Boho Tea is a lovely, tranquil space with incredibly friendly and helpful staff and delicious drinks and baked goods. The shop is just lovely, with exposed brick walls, tons of plants, and antiques. They provide free WiFi, board games to play, and a charging station for your devices. There's ample seating, with tables and chairs and comfy couches. The first time I went in, I had my kids with me, who had never had boba tea before. My son is funny about textures sometimes, and the seeet girl taking our order was SO patient and let he and my daughter try the lychee stars and some of the popping boba before they placed their order. He got a blueberry tea with blueberry boba, she ordered a strawberry lemonade with strawberry boba. Both drinks had edible glitter in them, making them as pretty as they were delicious! I ordered their Zen drink, a creation off their menu of lavender milk tea and honey, with lychee stars in the bottom. SO DELICIOUS! The owner told me all of their honey is locally sourced, so I was excited about that. I also tried a Traditional Japanese Soufflé, which had Nutella drizzled on it per the cashiers recommendation. This was delicious, dense and not overly sweet. They sell other baked goods like cookies and brownies. The second time I went in, the shop was technically closed, but the owners waved me in, along with several people who came in behind me, and offered us all free drinks that they had made to photograph for their social media pages. I had the Pina Colada this time, it was creamy and delicious. Definitely something I wouldn't mind mixing a little rum into next time! Go support this lovely new local business! You won't be disappoint

This is like a 3.5 stars. I've been here two times now since they opened approx a month ago. The first time was pretty great; the boba was really good consistency, the drinks we had were all great tasting, and the customer service was awesome. One of the people in our party had never had bubble tea before and they let her taste the different bubbles. The second visit yesterday was ok. Some of it was likely what I ordered because the drink was really sweet. However, the boba was not consistent; there were some really hard bobas, meaning not cooked all the way, and some almost "disintegrated" bobas, meaning cooked too much. I wonder if they just threw a batch on top of another already done batch? If I'm in Alabaster, I'll probably stop by if I'm craving bubble tea. However, I don't know if this is worth making a special trip out to Alabaster.

The place is very cute, decorated very nicely and clean. Their menu has helpful pictures to show what you are ordering with the ingredients in it. The drinks were made quickly and looked just like the pictures. The Hello Kitty drink was really good (strawberry and taro) but the peaches and cream tasted more diluted than creamy. Overall not bad!

It was my first boba experience and now we are regulars. My kids love to try all the new drinks and I love my old faithful. The coffees are yum too! The store has a super cool vibe and the customer service is head and shoulders above the rest. The bobaristas will help you figure out what to try based on your tastes! Go try it for yourself!

Yummy treat. No matter how busy they are, they are still fast and kind. Great place to hang out! Games, plants, and plenty of sitting room.

Seating: Both inside and outside seating. Great for groups and patio seating outside to keep you dry. Vibes: It's in a plaza, maybe 10 minutes away from Downtown Birmingham. The plaza consists of restaurants, a gym, and a grocery store. The spot itself is spacious, clean, and welcoming. A great place to hang out with friends or be friends. FOOD: Peppermint Boba (Recommend) A seasonal drink that was a pleasant delight. The peppermint wasn't too strong, it was well balanced with milk and the boba was chewy. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! The store opened and there was a rush of 3 customers. The kid in front took care of it well. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Great! This is a solid enough representation of boba so it's glad to be shared here in the Dirty South! The prices are reasonable, food is delicious, and I appreciated the range/variety they provided. For those craving a boba fix, be sure to check this place out! Shoutouts to Ashley and Tam Duong for bringing this delight to Alabama and best wishes to new owner, Hugo Anguiano, and his team on this business. It seemed like Mexico's version of a "China Town" or "Little Italy" in Hoover. I have not seen anything like this around here. My friend Tina and I tried Mexican sweets here, and I also had a snack of the Crazy Doritos. This place is very whimsical and cute. Perfect for kiddos and families. There is a ton of space too. They have ice creams galore here. It was hard for me to choose! I went for the prettiest one I saw and that turned out to be the Birthday Cake flavor. It was delicious! Tina had the mangonada that looked very good. I was wanting a salty snack too, so when I saw the Dori-Lokos or "Crazy Doritos" I knew I wanted to try it. The lady working there asked me twice if pork skins was okay for her to top onto them. I said sure. Little did I know what I was about to experience! They were actual pork skins that were like a cartilage or jello like texture. I assumed they would be like the crispy bagged variety you see in stores. It was an experience for sure! I liked it, but I probably would not order it again. The Crazy Doritos were also topped with a sort of nut that I liked, cucumber, and hot sauce. I just can't believe I was not in Mexico when I came here. I'm really glad we have places like this that can make some people feel like home and allow other to just have a different experience. It sure was memorable!

What sets it apart isn't just one standout feature--it's the rare combination of variety, quality, and fair pricing all in one place. Start with the produce section. The vegetable selection is genuinely impressive, with enough variety to build vibrant, fiber-rich salads that never feel repetitive. Whether I'm in the mood for something earthy and hearty or light and crisp, there's always a fresh option ready to go. It's the kind of produce aisle that makes eating well feel effortless rather than like a chore. Then there's the meat counter, which might be my favorite part of the store. Hometown doesn't just stock the basics--they carry cuts that most grocery stores overlook entirely. Fish backs, pork riblets, braised ribs--these are ingredients that serious home cooks know are gold for stocks, slow braises, and deeply flavorful one-pot meals. Finding them fresh and well-priced, rather than having to hunt through specialty butchers, is a genuine luxury. And that's really the heart of it: the prices. Everything here feels fair, even generous, given the quality you're getting. In a landscape where "fresh" and "affordable" rarely show up together, Hometown manages to deliver both without compromise. Shopping here feels like being let in on something the rest of the world hasn't caught onto yet. It's not flashy or over-marketed--it just consistently delivers. Honestly, more grocery stores should be built this way: thoughtful variety, real freshness, and prices that don't punish you for wanting to eat well.
