Stopped by Tay's Tea for a smoothie before walking around Railroad park and was pleasantly surprised. I tried the acai smoothie and it was tasty and a good size. I would have liked to add protein powder, but they don't have that option. The shop was empty when I arrived and had some cute art on the wall.

I enjoyed my drink, although it was gone in two sips. I did not like the type of Ice used at all. It kept coming through my straw and I barely got but two of my lychee jellies up in my straw. Ice was constantly coming up through the straw. There are plenty of lychee Gummies stuck at the bottom of my cup and I'm completely done with my drink. It's a cute place, but this is not the type of bubble tea I'm used to drinking.

The service was amazing and everyone was so kind! The drink was so good. It's super tiny but I loved the decor and the cute stickers!! The ice was perfectly crunchy and soft, just how I like it. Definitely recommend if you're walking around Railroad and craving a good drink!

New favorite boba spot in town! I stopped by after seeing it opened next to Red Cat. I got the mango fruit tea and it was delicious - super refreshing for this hot weather. The tapioca itself was so soft and felt very fresh. The store was empty when I came in with a little bit of seating further down. I will definitely be back for more boba!

We stopped in for a treat after reading about a new boba place. Tays is located next to Red Cat by Railroad Park. You walk in to a quaint little spot with a friendly staff. The menu has lots of great options and is well rounded. It is on the pricier side but the quality is there. We tried the ube with tapioca, sunrise strawberry and melon. They were all so yummy! The ube is great for those who don't want something to sweet. Strawberry was crisp and fresh with fresh fruit. The melon came with a light foam and fresh fruit as well. We enjoyed them down by the pond in the park. We are big boba fans and this immediately jumped to the top of our list!! Go check them out!

Super cute and clean boba place. There aren't any chairs to sit and hang out so it's not like a cafe, but the drinks are very good! The owners were super welcoming and answered any questions we had.

It's always wonderful to see new additions in the Parkside district and Tays Tea is a gem! This little tea shop is petite, with no seating, but mighty! They have a menu with milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies and slushes, sure to please anyone. The Thai tea is not made from a powder mix which is a testament to good quality! I have sampled a few drinks and would say the banana caramel frappe is the only one that has fallen a bit flat. The Thai tea, milk tea, peach tea, and Ube slush have all been great. And the boba is fresh with a great texture. The owners and staff are so friendly and make picking and customizing your drink a breeze! Check this out next time you're near railroad park!

I planned to grab a coffee at Red Cat after walking through Railroad Park, but they were closing just as I arrived.

So we were biting on chunks of ice, which was not enjoyable. Although we had that issue we would go back again and let them know what happened. The ambiance is casual and the service was fine. Seating: Both inside and outside seating. Great for groups and patio seating outside to keep you dry. Vibes: It's in a plaza, maybe 10 minutes away from Downtown Birmingham. The plaza consists of restaurants, a gym, and a grocery store. The spot itself is spacious, clean, and welcoming. A great place to hang out with friends or be friends. FOOD: Peppermint Boba (Recommend) A seasonal drink that was a pleasant delight. The peppermint wasn't too strong, it was well balanced with milk and the boba was chewy. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! The store opened and there was a rush of 3 customers. The kid in front took care of it well. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Great! This is a solid enough representation of boba so it's glad to be shared here in the Dirty South! The prices are reasonable, food is delicious, and I appreciated the range/variety they provided. For those craving a boba fix, be sure to check this place out! Shoutouts to Ashley and Tam Duong for bringing this delight to Alabama and best wishes to new owner, Hugo Anguiano, and his team on this business. We got so many things to start with Coconut water rice cake. Yes it does have the consistency of a sponge cake. It was good! I also got some Panda red bean buns. Cute and also good! For drinks: Sake, Taro bubble milk tea, and a Thai milk tea. We tried Winter Melon and clam soup For my entree I got Chicken with Lotus root which I enjoyed, My husband got crispy intestine . (My husband said he has never had it done that well-clean taste ) I tried it and it was ok. My son got the Szechuan style sautéed brisket and he ate it up ! To go yep we got sautéed pork belly and eggplant, pork, & basil . Both were also good. The waiter worked his bum off and we gave him a good tip. The only complaint were the young boys working up front who weren't friendly and acted like working was killing them. Why I didn't give you a 5! Otherwise you would have deserved it !!! All the food was delicious! Now on to the market - I like this better than the hometown market why they have many things I haven't seen including Jin noodles I have been looking everywhere for!!!! We bought many things to try including cucumber, orange, and what I thought was Mango potato chips. Nope it was abalone ! Not so good but the orange was good Of course Jin noodles , tiramisu mochi, banana milk rice snacks(yum) , tamarind drink, orange pepper spice, and chili crisp Our cashier though was joyless . Would I go back to both ? Yes I would!!
