I can't believe that I am the 1st person to do a Yelp review on this business!! I found about this business via Facebook. I have been needed a new mattress for a very long time. I shopped for a mattress a few months ago at a large chain furniture store & they tried to convince me to buy a $12,000 mattress. I have been pretty gun shy since then because well....$12k is a lot!! So, I saw reviews about Mattress by Appointment & set up an appointment to come in the next day. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the appointment because the hubby was running late getting home. I called to ask if I could reschedule. Steve answered the phone and happily changed my appointment for the following day, today. We arrived for our appointment at 6:30. Steve greeted us at the door and asked us what we thought we needed/wanted in a mattress. We told him what we thought our needs & wants were. He then educated us on what we really should consider when mattress shopping. He explained how it can be difficult for me & my husband to find a mattress that fits both of us because I am only 5'1" & 100 lbs and my hubby is 6'3" & 250 lbs. He had us lay down on several mattresses to see how it felt for each of us. We found 2 mattresses that we really liked. The price difference between the 2 was right around $300. When I asked him which mattress he thought would suit us best, he gave me an honest answer, rather than the answer that would have made him more money. We decided to buy the mattress. Thankfully, he had it in stock so we could take it home tonight. We utilized the 90 day financing they offer & even the financing part of the transaction was quick & easy. I bought a mattress here and fell in love with it. The day I wanted it delivered was a day they normally didnt do deliveries and the owner came himself with the mattress so that i would have somewhere to sleep that night. Flash forward to a few months later my roommates also fell in love with my mattress and went to get the same one for them. The guy handling them did not schedule the delivery like he was supposed to and my roommates called and got upset. The owner then showed up AGAIN, with the mattress and everything. We had been looking for a new bed for some time.. 2 +years. I went to all sorts of other on line sites, Costco (which has great deals and beds too), Sam's Wal-Mart club, overstock .com amazon.com Macy's, JCPenny, everywhere else in the mall, even select comfort.... anyway we just weren't finding anything for Us. I went to the guy in Meridian who only deals by appointment.. you know all the signs around the Treasure Valley saying crap like NEW King Mattress and Box for $6. Anyway when you get there he is adamant that you buy now there are other people waiting and he doesn't really have time for you. I think that douche's name is Brad, his "friend" has him liquidate stuff for him, or stuff fell off the truck, and it's only one at a time in the "store".... whatever.. Boise Mattress Company on the other hand, is a pretty awesome place. They look like a Mattress Store. Which is good since I wanted a new Mattress. They probably don't know everything about mattresses but I didn't ask a questions they weren't able to answer. Joel is who I talked to and bought from. He is the big guy that looks like the Offensive Line of any given Pro Football team. He is pretty awesome. He showed me everything they had and pretty well read my mind about the questions I had.. he showed me some mattresses that would have been way outside my price range if I hadn't shopped there. I ended up getting an Englander mattress.. they aren't sold like Simmons and Serta (no advertising) but the price is basically reflective of that. Any way.. we got a King sized, mattress box and frame for around $1200 judging by what I found on line, this should equate to around $10-$12.50 a month for this bed, or about 8-10 years which is the average an innerspring mattress is kept for. Part of this review is meant to get you to go there, seriously, go there. They are in the same parking lot as Five Guys burgers, across Milwaukee from Shopko, and across Fairview from Winco. Go There. The problems we had were in the delivery phase of the sale. The truck broke down, and that sucked, since I had to sleep on the floor that night (my choice to remove my old mattress, not their fault). The owner of the store called my wife the next morning and apologized profusely! I am OK with that, after all that is good customer service. Writing my review after having my englander supreme pillow top mattress for about 2 months. It did take a while to arrive because of an issue with the manufacture but I am glad I waited. My mattress is as perfect today as it was the first day I tried it. I absolutely love it and we're getting fantastic sleep. The owner was really nice about everything and set up the mattress for us even though we could tell he was in a bit of a rush...but they came early and we were trying to get back to sleep so such as life. Thanks, we love our mattress. *I also want to add the prices here are incredible. I got a king size for around $1,000 and the mattress was comparable/better than the one at denver mattress and denver wanted $1,700 for it not including all the accessories. I was excited to find a place with such good reviews, but it has been utterly disappointing and confusing. They have no website. When you call, it just rings forever (no answering machine or recorded message even). Went by the first time on a Friday evening, around 6pm. The place was dark and locked up. All the business hours were scratched off the windows. Went by again the next day (Saturday) around 11am. Still dark and locked. Finally tried a third time Monday morning just after 10am. You guessed it: still dark, locked doors, no sign of any employees anywhere. One door is even locked with a big chain on the inside. All their mattress inventory is still sitting there, and there is no indication they have gone out of business, no sign on the door saying they're closed for vacation. Just never open. We really wanted to support a local company, but it looks like we'll be going with Denver Mattress on Furniture Row instead. read more

I want to begin this review by saying that I'm the type of buyer that does their research and homework before making purchases - big or small. I was aware that there are a number of online retailers, a number of unique mattresses offered, and a number of brick and mortar sellers in my area. I went online and read reviews, I checked out a general life expectancy for different mattresses, etc. With all of this in mind, I had three things that were big for me. 1. Obviously, the comfort and quality of the mattress. I want something that I can immediately fall asleep on and something that I want to look forward to laying on. 2. How long the mattress will last. I try and take care of my things, especially the big ticket items. I buy mattress covers, try not to be unreasonably rough with them, etc. So I expect a mattress to also last for a decent chunk of time. 3. Ease of delivery and price I don't have a truck and I live in an upstairs apartment. I had to move my last mattress up there by myself and it was not fun. So, with all that in mind, I was really please with what I got out of Boise Mattress. Scott helped me (highly recommend him) and was very knowledgeable and patient. I went around and tried out mattresses - sometimes two or three times - and he was quick to answer any questions I had. He let me know which ones will contour which way. He talked to me about mattresses that were known for not getting indents. And he not only knew what each mattress was made of, he was familiar with the processes behind how the companies made their mattress. I found a mattress that was very comfortable and somewhat surprised me because I never would have guessed that this was my type if I had just bought online. (I'm very confident that if I did a blind online purchase, I would not be as happy with the product as I am with the one I bought.) It was also well in my price range - especially for the mattress and box spring combination. I genuinely felt like I was getting a deal. I also asked him if he sold frames and he said he would gladly sell me a metal frame for something like $35 (if I remember right, he ended up just throwing it in without charge). That was a pretty cool bonus because I'm pretty minimalist when it comes to my bed frame and a nice simple metal frame was perfect for that. They also offered delivery for $49 dollars and the delivery guys were fast and quick. They got the whole package upstairs in less than ten minutes and even offered to set it up for me. (Everything came brand new and wrapped.) Overall, I'm very, very, pleased with what I bought and would definitely return if I needed another bed. I purposefully waited a few days to see if everything was holding up to what I was looking for and I was not disappointed. read more

First, we did find a decent deal here. But compared to the service, it's not worth the minimal savings. We ordered 2 mattresses 13 days ago and they are still not available. I have called a few times, but the phone just rings forever with no answer. I finally went down to the store last night (day 12) to see what was going on and all I could get was: "The truck will be here sometime this week". No day specified, no apologies, nothing. Terrible customer service and because of these issues we are never coming back here again to purchase mattresses. I wanted to shop local but this is absolutely ridiculous. They have alot of my money and I have nothing to show for it, not even a day of when I can pick my mattresses up. Here's the kicker, the 'truck' is only coming from Washington!!!
