They took us in on time for our portrait sitting with our dog. The gal at the front desk was friendly and walked us back to a large room set up with a dark backdrop and different types of chairs to pose in. I was pleased that she loved dogs and was able to get a picture of our big puppy who was not acting that calm to sit for very long. As she was the photographer, her patience about it was appreciated as she kept laughing and smiling the whole time. We were in there with her for about 30 minutes. Must return in a couple of weeks to choose which ones we would like to purchase. No idea as to how much it will cost nor was it something you can know until after you come back. read more

Believe the reviews about the poor customer service. It is not a joke. Tim obviously has no idea how to run a business and likes to reply to customer feedback with threats. We asked you to immediately cease contact with us, and you contacted us again, along with continuing to spread slanderous accusations in your replies. Bokeh Creatives advertised for a free photoshoot on social media for my pets. Since they were local, I thought I'd give it a shot. They were quick to respond with a generic message saying that they wanted to fast track my submission and schedule a free photoshoot with a $99 deposit to secure an appointment. During the booking process, the representative out of nowhere mentioned that the call was being recorded and had me verbally agree to their terms and conditions. Now it was my fault for not asking for any clarifications but, it just seemed like a shady business tactic now that I see it. I thought they really appreciated my story with my pups and my cat but I do feel tricked now. I called and left a couple of voice messages asking the for a call back and I received no contact in return. I did research on this business and found similar cases with this business finding loopholes to keep peoples deposits. I had to email them requesting for a refund and it was returned. read more

I came here to do portraits with my dog, and first thing first, he had the best time of his life. He zoomed all over the studio while we tried to take pictures and we were cracking up so hard. He was a goof! I'm surprised we got any pictures at all, but we did, and they are AMAZING! When Elhum came out to show me the pictures and discuss the package options, she was very kind and thorough. I have a tough time making decisions, so she was very helpful with that too. I really recommend this studio to everyone and anyone looking for a picture or portrait to last a lifetime. I want to make it clear that I'm not just writing this to release my frustration or dopamine. I genuinely hope this review is useful for others who might be expecting more from them. I was really looking forward to this photography experience and made every effort to be there on time. Initially, the process seemed promising the first session was smooth, and the staff was kind and accommodating. However, my second visit left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. Despite arriving within the extended timeframe given (4:10), I needed to use the bathroom for just a few minutes after a long drive. When I returned, the photographer refused to take my session, stating that I was 'late' and she had family commitments. I completely respect personal schedules, but after traveling nearly two hours and taking time off work for this opportunity, I expected at least some level of understanding. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that this was meant to be an appreciation event, yet I paid $49 for the session.If a company offers such an opportunity, it should come with a sense of flexibility and consideration for those making the effort to participate. Strict adherence to the clock, without acknowledging the circumstances, makes it feel less like appreciation and more like a rigid business transaction. Now, after all of this, I have to reschedule just to get what I already paid for. They have offered to send me an 8x10 portrait, which I appreciate, but the entire experience has been unnecessarily difficult. To make things worse, there was a huge miscommunication. Since my husband was in the portrait, they told me that for the rescheduled session, he needed to be there. But when I called earlier on another day, they told me it was fine for me to come alone. It's incredibly inconvenient when different staff members give different information, making the entire process even more frustrating. I do want to mention that Amanda at the front desk was really nice to me. Maybe she was trying to calm me down or just explain the situation better, but I was already frustrated and probably came off as cold to her. If she happens to read this, I sincerely apologize for that I do appreciate her kindness. However, my frustration is with the entire photography policy . The way they handled everything made this feel more like a rigid business rather than a photography experience. They offered me this opportunity, they told me Bruno was a finalist, but in the end, all of this effort and hassle just for one picture? It doesn't feel like appreciation at all. There should have been more flexibility instead of making it so difficult. As of now, I am giving 3 stars based on my overall experience because I am also l going to receive my portrait in few weeks.If the portrait they send meets expectations, I may reconsider my rating. However, the hassle of rescheduling, the lack of flexibility, and the inconsistent information from different staff members made this experience more frustrating than it should have been. read more

I came in for a portrait of myself and my dogs. The staff was absolutely amazing. My dogs are a bit of a handful and they were very patient and kind about the entire process. Additionally, special mention for Amanda who helped me pick my portrait in my portrait ordering session. She was so knowledgeable, she showed me samples of materials, and was so easy to talk to. I came across Bokeh Creatives because of a pet portrait session they were offering. It was such a pleasant and positive experience. They're super on top of all of their scheduling so they remind you of the various appointments. Plus everyone is very professional and kind. The session itself went really well. The photographer knew exactly what she was doing and got some really beautiful photos of us and our pups. (I liked the experience so much that I got other people to sign up as well). After the photos were taken, during the photo viewing, Amanda was kind, wanted to learn more about our little family, and very helpful in us figuring out which photos we wanted. She didn't push us in any particular direction, but to just go with what feels right. We ended up with photos we really love. It was our first time taking our pets for a photo shoot in conjunction with ourselves and really love how the photos turned out very professional the arrangement of the appointments. Had a great photo session with my wife, our corgi, and orange tabby. Our photographer was a pro at getting the fur babies to pose and look into the camera! They communicated with us every step of the way and tried to get us appointment times that matched our schedules. We also won a free shoot and 8x10 which they mentioned is ours whether or not we decide to purchase anything extra. My wife and I did end up buying a main larger portrait 30" and purchased extra photos with the box and digital copies. I have not yet seen the final outcome but even without any editing the photos that came out were beautiful. The price may shock some people, not gonna lie it is pricey, but after having been to another portrait place in a different city the prices are comparable. Would definitely recommend, but I would also add, if you've never had painted portraits done, the prices are pretty expensive (I've only had 2 to compare). read more

At Bokeh Creatives, the saying "you get what you pay for"doesn't apply--in fact, it's quite the opposite. Despite the high cost just to book a session, we encountered poor organization, excessive and rigid policies, and ultimately, a complete waste of our time. We took two days off--one for the photo session and another for the mandatory in-person review--only to find that Bokeh Creatives was late, unprepared, and, shockingly, did not have our photos at all. Their process was inefficient and unprofessional from start to finish. What's more concerning is their messaging, both online and via text, which attempts to diminish other studios like JCPenney. Ironically, we took their "suggestion" and went to JCPenney instead--where we worked with a talented, respectful freelance photographer who delivered exactly what we needed and respected our time. To date, we are still waiting for a refund and the Zoom link we were promised to view our photos--if they even exist. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Bokeh Creatives. read more

WARNING: Bokeh Creatives is a COMPLETE SCAM! 1 Star (Only because I can't give zero) I don't even know where to start with this disaster of a so-called "business." Bokeh Creatives is nothing but a money-hungry SCAM designed to prey on your emotions and love for your pets. Their entire operation is shady from start to finish. It all began when I "won" an Instagram contest for a dog photoshoot, but now it's blatantly obvious that EVERYONE "wins." It's just a ploy to get you in the door so they can fleece you. The moment they told me I "won," they started bombarding me with emails and texts, making sure I knew that if I dared miss the photoshoot, I'd lose my deposit. Their relentless communication was beyond annoying. They try to act like they care about your dog and your relationship, but it's all part of their disgusting sales pitch. The actual photoshoot? A pathetic 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I could've gone to JC Penny or even taken better photos on my iPhone. The backdrop looked like something from the 90s, outdated and completely uninspired. And after all that, they wouldn't even let me see the photos right away! No, you have to come back for a separate viewing appointment--what a joke! When I showed up for the viewing, I was greeted by the most condescending, delusional woman I've ever encountered. It was absolutely absurd. She had nerve to tell me that my previous wedding photographer's pricing was "cheap" when I mentioned being shocked by their outrageous costs. The way they try to manipulate your emotions, especially by playing on the love you have for your pets, is infuriating. The moment I showed disinterest in paying thousands for subpar work, her attitude completely changed. I made the mistake of buying the digital files, and I hate myself for it. The photos were mediocre at best. Bokeh Creatives is nothing but a sleazy, manipulative, overpriced scam of a business that takes advantage of people's love for their pets to make a quick buck. Please, for the love of your wallet and your sanity, STAY AWAY from these crooks. They don't care about your pet, they don't care about you--they only care about draining your bank account. I should have read their reviews before falling for "winning a free portrait session" on Instagram. I was so excited to have some photos of my kitties as another one of my pets passed away not too long ago. It was hectic getting two cats in the studio however I went through the stress thinking we were going to have beautiful photos in the end---was I wrong! The photographer was young and obviously an amateur. She didn't pay attention to the smaller details and that reflected in the photos as they were awkward with only a handful that were actually decent (where we're looking, etc). That's not even the worst part. When you come into the viewing session that's when they crank up the cheap sales tactics and the emotional manipulation. I felt like I was at a time share presentation but worse! They ask about your family and your pets and really harp on the emotions. Then they do a display of all your photos (only had like 30 after an hour session) and then the selling begins. I specifically told the woman that I wanted to buy the digital prints and did not want a huge canvas. They still show you all the sizes that cost astronomical prices. I only wanted the photos for memories and wanted to keep them on my phone. She quoted me 1k!!! for a couple digital photos and continually tried to upsell me on a big print. I literally became so overwhelmed that I left the place crying. She also was adamant that we need to make a decision on the spot and cannot think about it. You leave feeling this place like you've been interrogated and emotionally abused. The small print they "gift" (not free, you pay for a nonrefundable deposit) you is not worth all of the stress they put you through. Please avoid this place and save yourself the stress. read more

Honestly, I really wanted to love this experience. I went in open-minded. I responded to their add for a "free shoot and print" with your fur baby. Great, right?! But then once I was in the door, I was told there was a second appointment, the viewing appointment. And I needed to "hold my appointment" by putting down a refundable $99. However I don't understand how you can say something is free if you require money? That's a LOT of money to just put down for me right now, but I really wanted the "free" print they promise seeing my dog is elderly and I don't have many photos with her. So I squeezed out the money and booked my viewing appointment for two weeks after the photo shoot (knowing that in two weeks, I'd get my refund). This is where it gets real shady. They called and said due to "staffing issues" they needed to rebook me- by over a month! I found this odd, but gave the benefit of the doubt. I simply told the representative that it causes hardship to book so far out as I needed my refundable $99 back. They said they could just send me a random photo of their choice in that case. Noooooo, I would like to choose the photo as I was promised! That's the package deal, guys! So I rebooked and waited. WHILE WAITING, I get texts and emails thanking me for making a purchase under my name for prints. I contacted them ASAP. Their response was that they "had another client with the same name and got confused"..... my full name is not that common, or at least I have never personally met someone with my same name. But sure, again benefit of the doubt, I get it- mistakes happen (to clarify my FULL name shows up differently in their system, not just as Beth as it does on Yelp). I finally get to my viewing appointment, and I tell the representative who was pitching me a sale very, VERY honestly that I had absolutely no money and only wanted the free print offer due to finances, and needed the refund. I even went so far as to tell her, as kindly as I could, that as much as I would love to make purchases that "the refund is my grocery money!" She said "of course, no problem." She then proceeded to try and sell me on a $2-$3,000 offer!! Where is the respect? I walked away with a "free" print -that they don't tell you at any point will be completely raw and unedited. Basic edits cost money. I used to work in the photography industry. Unedited is unprofessional. The representative pushed a button on her computer, looked me dead in the eye and said, "as of right now we have issued your refund." Almost a week later- NO REFUND!! Big red flag! I called my bank and there was no record, nothing pending, nada. Zilch. I called Bokeh right away and they said, "oh so sorry not sure what happened we will do that right now..." I was told you had already done it. What's happening here? So many red flags, so many bad business practices. The only star should go as credit to the actual photographer who was quite sweet. Beware!! UPDATE AS OF APRIL 8 2024: Tim the owner, as you can see, commented on my post and said he couldn't find me. As you cannot respond publicly on Yelp, I emailed them right away to clarify seeing he seemed to want to help me with my refund. I revealed in my email my private information: that while Beth is my name, it is not my FULL name. I revealed my full name so they could find me in the system. I didn't hear back. Instead what I received within a few hours of revealing my private information to Tim, was an anonymous 1-star review on my business profile. The only way someone would correlate my then-private yelp account and my separate Business Account is by using the private information I gave to Tim. The review went on to falsely accuse me of making reviews under a fake profile (untrue) and then attacked my business... which they've never worked with. I responded on Yelp publicly, then emailed Tim, then CALLED him so that this issue of retaliation and false accusations did not escalate. No response. As his review goes against Yelp Policy, it was removed. After all this I have FINALLY gotten my refundable money back! By the way, the anonymous name TIM chose to take to accuse me? My own name. Beth B. And I know it was him, because Yelp verified his identity. Note I have copies of every single interaction, email, accusation and response now, plus my receipts and contracts from Bokeh, as well as Tim's verified identity from the accusatory post. This business retaliates against you in horrendous ways if you simply detail a personal negative experience. I don't mess around with people who are comfortable doling out false accusations/slander. read more

I didn't know what to expect since the last time I was in a portrait setting was for Prom... and this time was with my little pup. Natalie was super cool... she was my photographer. My puppy and I got selected for the free photo session. As a smart consumer, I read the rules, and understood there was going to be a $250 fee to hold my appointment time (they have to pay their workers to be there). When we arrived, the staff made sure the studio was safe for my puppy and I to enter, which I really appreciated since my dog can be reactive to other dogs at times. They explained everything clearly through explanation and handout about the process, and what I would be receiving for free. I understood that as business they may try to sell me more product later down the road. Anyways, the session was SO FUN. I wish I remembered the photographers name, she was awesome with me and my dog. I was definitely nervous since I haven't taken a studio photo since high school, but the photographer made everything feel casual and fun. The staff gave me clear instructions on how to view my photos during at a later time. The staff member who reviewed my photos with me explained what I would receive for free, as well as the pricing on if I wanted to purchase more photos. She showed me the different sizing of the products they could offer, and how it would look placed on my walls. Overall they were very thorough. The company sent multiple texts and emails to communicate with me their process. I understood that although I won a 'free' session, that if I wanted to purchase more items it would cost money. I'm surprised at the number of 1 star reviews written about feeling surprised by the reservation fee that no one is forcing them to pay and that is refundable/transferrable when you show up on time to the appointment. I would highly recommend this studio for photos, I am so excited for the portraits to be up on my wall. read more

Mr. Tim H. the business owner stated in his reply to my review that providing a card is agreed to when signing up but this only applies to the online booking site for this specific "promotion" - where in small letters you can see the $99 disclosure at the bottom. You will not be able to see anything about this promotion on their official website because it's a completely different link and phone number. I found that out when the person over the phone took a long time to send me the promotion link to do my booking since I didn't want to pay over the phone. Anyways, there are no disclosures about paying a fee upfront or providing card information when signing up to win the "free photoshoot" on Instagram. I would like to say that Bokeh photography studios gave me one of the best experiences that I've had this year. I was gifted a free session with my dog. I had no idea what was ahead of me. At first it seemed too good to be true like most scams but it truly was not. It was absolutely great and it was very real. I really felt like this photo session not only captured the love that I have for my dog but it brought me and my husband together for an hour where we did not argue. Our photographer Amanda took great care of us and made us all feel very important and beautiful. This year has been terrible for us in our family. We lost two of our dogs so we considered children. My husband and I are separating and we have just lost our apartment. Our whole world has been flipped upside down and the only thing that we have left together is our 5 month old dogo argentine/pitbull mix. Amanda asked me to talk a little bit about Smokey so she can get to know his personality which I thought was so kind and thoughtful. But I shared with her is that smokey is so important to us because he's the glue that's holding me and my husband together by a string. He makes us laugh, he makes us cry happy tears, and he shows us kindness. He loves us unconditionally and brings us together as a family. Every picture that we received from Bokeh show the love that we have together as a family, as a husband and wife, and it really captured the the essence of our dog. I've never had such a wonderful experience ever. I'm so grateful to Bokeh for allowing us to come in and for showing the best parts of us. For 1 hour I felt like everything was just right and I also felt like I was a value to someone.
