I couldn't be happier with our experience with Rachelle. The photos of my newborn daughter are stunning, and I mean ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. The pictures are truly timeless treasures and I will cherish them forever. Her attention to detail was incredible and she handled my 9 day old baby with such care! Additionally, she was accommodating to our every request. I asked for a specific pose to match my son's newborn photos (taken by a different photographer when we lived out of state), and she nailed it perfectly. As a bonus, the studio is conveniently located next to an amazing deli, which was perfect for grabbing a bite during the session. There is plenty of parking and the studio vibe is chill. We heard of Rachelle through our friends and we were not disappointed! It is clear that she has clocked many years in this industry as how effortless the shoot was despite needing to capture our toddler and two rowdy dogs. I was hesitant about doing an outdoor shoot with our dogs and toddler, but it went very smoothly. Rachelle was great interacting with our toddler and our dogs. I absolutely loved her energy and can't wait to see the results. Rachelle is more than amazing! She is not only great at what she does but truly is a kind and warm person. We arrived late, all exhausted and nervous because our little man had been fussy all day long due to a little cold he caught the same week. Instead of rushing things to fit her busy schedule, Rachelle made us all feel so welcomed and comfortable. We've had the pleasure of working with Rachelle two times already! She did our wedding photos back in September and just recently newborn pictures of our precious baby girl. It was such a great experience. We're very happy throughout the whole process from planning the visit to getting the super cute pictures for our twin baby girls. Getting the my girls in the right mood is tough but Rachelle is very accommodating, she worked with us in scheduling a good time for the shoot and when we arrived, she was sweet that she spent time played with the little ones. The whole shooting was smooth and very efficient as Rachelle guided us though different settings patiently and she knows how to capture the happy moments. Also Rachelle spent the majority of the Afternoon with us, made my husband and I feel relaxed and never rushed. Rachelle did an AMAZING job with our baby girl's newborn photos! While planning the shoot and awaiting the photos, she has consistently been a great communicator. She was super reassuring to me when I asked about COVID precautions at her studio and went out of her way to ensure that her space, materials and own personal precautions were in line with our comfort. This review is long overdue, but I simply adore Rachelle! I originally discovered her on Yelp when I was looking for a newborn photographer. Not only did she respond to my message super quickly, her prices were so affordable, especially considering we would get all the images. All the other photographers I contacted were more expensive and I would only get to pick a few images and would have to pay a lot more to get them all. Rachelle was so patient during our newborn session (it took my daughter almost 2 hours to fall asleep)... never once did we feel rushed. She is a very warm and kind person that we got to know while we waited for the baby to fall asleep. More recently during a photo session for my daughter's first birthday, she was not feeling well so we weren't getting great individual shots of her. Rachelle let us schedule another session later in the week at her studio and only charged a very small fee for it. This girl. My word. or, more like, I have no words. Rachelle picked up our wedding 2 weeks before the big day (as our previously hired photog was horrifically injured and had to cancel on us), and although that alone was lifesaving, she also was the most fun and patient photographer EVER, plus she worked within our budget at a fair price. Our venue was the Vizcaya downtown, and between the mellow, natural lighting, and the beautiful old Victorian mansion, we had the perfect setting for some vintage inspired photos. We set up mainly in the parlor, and Rachelle did a fantastic job of mixing my bridesmaids and my daughter (aka flower girl) into pics with me, plus a great amount of solos. There were lots of candid and natural-looking poses...nothing that made us uncomfortable or look "stiff". My now-husband was also injured and on a cane, however that did NOTHING to prevent some truly amazing photos being taken. Rachelle was super accommodating to Eric's bum knee, and gave him lots of time in between shots to rest. Despite the horrendous heat (about 108 degrees that day!), the end results were fabulous, tasteful, and completely our style. Rachelle, you saved one of the most important days of our life by stepping in as our photographer, and you truly are a gifted, talented artist. Thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts! Rachelle is just amazing! She got us in very quickly during a holiday season. She took her time with my baby girl. We are so accustomed to look at businesses as "if it's cheaper than is must be bad." But let me tell you this place is a huge exception to that rule. It is priced very competitively and the quality of the picture are on par with photographers charging an arm and a leg. We got into the studio on a Saturday with our 2 week old son, she took her time with each picture making sure our baby was in the perfect form before taking a quick snapshot. Some photographers are definitely good but look at their job as dollar signs. She did not rush and in fact begged us if we could stay longer so the baby can take more pictures. I can tell you if your looking for someone who loves what she does and will take the time to make sure this specific memory will be the most beautiful memory ever... When I first decided that I wanted to have maternity pictures in my home taken my boyfriend was not too thrilled, especially when I told him he would be in them. The original photographer never got back to us after she said she would love to take our pictures so after much research I found Rachelle's website and loved her style. I knew she was the only woman for this job and was hoping she would have time to take our pictures :) First of all, Rachelle made special arrangements to take our pictures early in the morning so we could beat the 100 degree weather that day (I was nine month pregnant and did not want to fry outside). When she got to our home she was punctual to our appointment (we are always running late and were not totally ready) and was professional taking pictures of the nursery while we finished getting ready. We had never had pictures taken especially in our house so we were not sure what we were supposed to do and were a little nervous. Rachelle helped us relax by talking to us and getting to know us and she was also conscious of what we wanted from our pictures and what we did not feel comfortable doing. She was so sweet and would have nice comments about how we were doing while she took our pictures. Once we got our pictures they were breathtaking. They were everything I was looking for and more. My wife, my 2-year old son and I recently did a family photo session with Rachelle. She was absolutely incredible with our little guy. He was a little shy at first, but within minutes she brought out his happy and exploring side. I was a little worried beforehand because our son has a ton of energy and towards the end of the day he can just run all over the place, but Rachelle managed to grab his attention, make him feel at ease, and bring out some of his best smiles.
