She starts with introspective questions about what you want to portray in your photos. She nurtures a healthy body image along the way and makes you feel your best from the inside out. That is truly her magic. The day itself was so special where I got to step out of my normal routine and into the routine of a super model. Andrea and her team had every detail worked out, so I could just relax and go with it. I visited Andrea again to review the photos to choose my favorites. There were too many and I ended up making the book bigger to solve that "problem." The end product is two books (boudoir + fine art) full of beautiful, professional photos. I gifted the book the morning of our wedding day and my now husband was absolutely floored. They now live on his nightstand and we both look at the often. Thank you, Andrea! Although there was a little confusion about the start time (and checking my contract, the date was mentioned, but the time wasn't specified), I was relieved to find that she was able to accomodate me, although I arrived late that day. Hair and make-up was done in keeping with my preference for minimal variation from my normal, no frills look. I also specified that I was hoping to avoid retouching of my skin coloration and imperfections, as I want images that document my age, rather than disguising them. She was quite open to me bringing my own wardrobe items and there was a dress I've always wanted to get photographs in, since it was a gift and I've never gotten full-length images of me wearing it, despite owning it for a number of years now. I was also curious about trying full nudes and had been hesitant to embark on such work with larger studios, but knowing it was going to be just Karen and me in the room for the photo shoot, I was brave enough to try those poses as well. Everything was done quite tastefully, she ensured I was comfortable and directed throughout the experience and the results speak for themselves. For obvious reasons, I'm only including the fully dressed images, but all of the pictures I've received are beautiful. There's about a week between the photo shoot and the date that you need to return to view your photos, so I made two visits to town, which certainly wasn't an inconvenience, since I only live about 20 minutes away, but worth knowing for those considering a longer drive. We put on some tunes and A game plan was hatched for poses/ outfits/ and expressions. I felt sexy and totally confident. I met with her a couple weeks later for picture reveal and chose my package. She was able to work out a payment plan for my images. Which I am thankful for! I received my boxed set and digital images after paying off the package. My guy was surprised by them. She also does fun get togethers for a local charity and also other fun events once you are in the group. Instead of just laying out "here's how it works, here's what you get for this price," etc., he asked a lot about what I was looking for, what I hoped to get out of it, my motivations or inspirations, etc. That personal touch carried throughout the experience. He consistently made an effort to understand what I was looking for--from the planning process to the photo shoot to going through the photos afterward--to make sure that I got exactly what I was hoping for. The photos themselves are absolutely awesome. It's incredible the different looks and feels he creates in a relatively small studio. More importantly, he just has an incredible eye for what is going to look good and how to create looks, moods, etc. I felt super comfortable the whole time, and I think that shows in the final product. Once my session was over, she explained to me the process for getting my album. She gave me options for the cover and let me choose the photos I wanted in the album. Along with that came a flash drive with all of my photos taken on the day. Within two weeks my album arrived at my door and it is beautiful. I entered Bella Boudoir and Design to consult regarding a Boudoir photoshoot. She spend a lot of much needed time with me during our consult. She was two months booked out for a session at the time. I really needed a Monday appt due to myself running a business. Tamara and makeup artist, Deeana (from the powder room) went out of their ways to come together and accommodate me for a Monday shoot. 2 months went by fast!!! And when it was ready for shoot day, Deeana put her professional makeup skills to work. She completely made me over in just an hour. After the beauty treatment, it was time for: Lights....Camera.....Action! Tamara gave me almost 3 hours of shoot time in her beautiful private studio. The package chosen consisted of 6 outfit changes. I had purchased the package that allows me to buy the mobile app. Sharing was important to me. And with the app, you are able to share to any mobile device. She doesn't had you a cd of your photos and say, "here ya go." Her photos are not for printing! As she owns the rights to the photos.
